A very beautiful and historically significant place. Great collections of antique materials displayed. A gentle and good explanation from the guide and supervisor of the museum. Good experience to remember for ever!

Lots of collections of very old things are there to see. Should have to make more awareness among the visitors who are visiting tharangambadi beach because a lot of people missed it to see. Government should have to take initiative to attract tourists.
Maintenance needs improvement. Old coins are available. However, there is no guarantee for the cost or its antique value. The entrance fee is to be paid.

Tharangambadi, formerly Tranquebar, is a town in the Nagapattinam district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu on the Coromandel Coast. It lies 15 kilometres north of Karaikal, near the mouth of a distributary named Uppanar of the Kaveri River. Tranquebar was established on 19 November 1620 as the first Danish trading post in India. King Christian IV had sent his envoy Ove Gjedde who established contact with Raghunatha Nayak of Tanjore. source
