Such a beautiful place , worth visiting.Its a mountain peak & best sightseeing spot 🏞😍. It has a great viewpoint I must say & a romantic place . When I visited for the first time the place was completely covered with fog & was drizzling , when the wind breezed, it was a stunning breathtaking view of the lush green valleys and majestic mountains from the top. People from Bangalore who are fed up with the heavy traffic , stress or work pressure must definitely visit this place & a sip of a coffee can give you a complete relaxation to the mind & soul as mine😂💚 When visited second time could see the Sun melting in between the fog 😂

This turned out to be one great sight during our vacation in Kerala, a visual treat and a heartwarming experience.
It is located on the Kochi to Thekkady road, about forty two kilometers from Kumily.
A steep drive up an hillock, off the main highway, brought us to the paid car park and a ticket counter.
We entered a gate near the car park. After a short walk from there, we stood mesmerized by views of lush green mountains and blue waters of the Iduki dam, flowing through.
It’s a place that one must experience for its beauty, charming and serenity.
There is a cafe near the car park, for some refreshments, soft drinks & juice.
The location is very well maintained and kept clean, with lot of greenery.

Such a beautiful place. The view is really amazing. Best option for evenings. The atmosphere and the chilling temperature really was liked. You can get amazing pictures with beautiful background.

Great View Point for the magnificent view of the Idukki Reservoir. Highly recommended! Adult entry is 25 rupees and two wheeler entry chathe is 10 rupees.

Auto rickshaw is available from the Calvary mount bustop to the gate of Tourist spot or can come by car and parking facility is provided. Road is steap but all types of vehicles can come through.The budget-friendly entry fee of 25 per person opens the doors to a serene retreat with a mesmerizing sunrise view at the hill station's elevated vantage point. Given the potential foggy weather, packing earmuffs or scarfs is recommended to ensure a comfortable experience.

The view is spectacular. I think day time will be good to get the view. Not so shiny in here. Weather feels good , even in hot summer days. If u want to experience cool breeze and peace. You may visit during rainy seasons or in winter. But view might be reduced

Awesome place to visit. Must visit if you are in Idukki. We went by chance n were awestruck with the beauty of the place. This place also has restrooms parking space and a small restaurant. Road is also good.

The calvary mount is hilltop situated along the NH between kattapana and idukki township. It is designed as a way of the cross and it is also a pilgrimage center now made into a tourist destination. The way of the cross in Christian beliefs has 14 stations and we can take our vehicles upto the 7th Station, from there the remaining is on foot to the top of the hill. There is adequate parking and some light refreshments available. There is entrance charge of Rs 25 for adults along with vehicle parking charges. The hilltop offers spectacular views of the idukki catchment area.
P.S: Caution: Be advised, This place gets to have heavy mist especially during the winters and rains. There are limited guide routes along the stations upto the top especially if its foggy. The climb is somewhat tiring, and the hilltop with the golden cross and get really windy at times.

Such a beautiful and spectacular view I have never seen in my life. I can spend hours and hours sitting here. Aerial view of Idukki reservoir surrounding by mountains and forests. This place is underrated and wish it would be forever. I don't want such beautiful place to be get spolied by some tourists.

Entry ticket is 25 RS pp.

Parking area is available. You have to take the parking ticket as well. The 4 wheeler parking charges 25Rs per car.

Cottages also are available to stay running by the forest department.

Very few tourists comes here. As I noticed almost south Indian people were there to enjoy such stunning view. It's a less crowded place and still underrated.

run by local body. vehicles can upto the top where there is a ticket counter. places to stay are available , limited I believe. excellent view of sunset. literal blue hills as Kenneth Anderson had described the western ghats. evenings are chilly with gusts of wind. sun is harsh. few shelters are there where u can sit and enjoy the views. the slopes are dangerous. almost whole of idukki reservoir can be seen.

Beautiful view point, good and clean environment, toilet facility available.

Best view of Idukki dam and reservoir. Morning and Evening is the best time to visit this place.
