View from The calvary hill top view aka kurishumala is wonderful. Its not that easy to get here but still doable only thing that on top is a cross and some small towers but the view of the green tea gardens river and the valley are great.

The weather and early morning sunrise and the wind and fog which makes the worth climbing. The words can't describe the place. Must visit the place for sunrise to feel the ambience. The most beautiful moment in our trip.

Mornings and evenings are the best time to visit. We can experience mist if it's going to rain.

Kalvari or Calvary Mount, one of the Idukki tourist places, is a mountain situated at a distance of 5 km from Idukki.

Calvary Mount Pilgrim Centre is located near Thodupuzha-Puliyanmala Highway in Idukki district, Kerala. It is a famous Christian pilgrimage site perched atop a hill that offers an aerial view of Idukki Reservoir & its surrounding peaks & forests. It is one of the most sightseeing places in Idukki. This pilgrim centre has a mount &14 crosses during the climb. It is a wonderful picnic spot for tourists.

Superb view of nature....

The view from Calvary mount is Breath taking. The morning and evening time is the best to visit the place because of the calm wind above the hill. It was crowded when I last visited Calvery mount because it was a holiday. I prefer this place if you're visiting Idukki district as it is a must-visit place.

Nice place to visit

This is an awesome view point in Idukki. You get a really good view of the Idukki Dam reservoir. Don't ever think of avoiding this place when you are going to Idukki.
2 KFDC cottages are available for stay which you should book on their website.( 5 persons per cottage).
Facilities are OK.
The cottages are just beside the cliff. Get yourself frozen in the night breeze. An amazing place to stay and chat with your friends all night.

A beautiful hill station with 360° view. Very pleasant climate and nature friendly treatment from forest department. But approach road of about one kilometer length is mud road and not suitable for driving cars in monsoon season. View of Kattappana town and adjacent place are a good feed to eyes. But view of water in idukki reservoir is marvelous like a great drawing. One cafeteria run by forest department is functioning there. Hut type accommodations are also available. Forest department restrict entry for visitors, vehicles and camera by imposing nominal fees.

An eco tourism spot in Idukki. The place is nice but the maintenance was poor. The authorities are not taking care of the place.
The place gives you a panoramic view of Idukki dam reservoir and the sight is really fantastic

The place is really great.. you should be visiting it either early in the morning or after 5. Then you'll be able to view it at it's full glory..
