St. George Forane Church, Vellayamkudy

Church has been reconstructed recently and is located in Vellayamkudy town.Very old Catholic Church having 1800 plus families.

I was raised in this church. Whenever I think of holy mass my mind wanders to the numerous ones I attended in this church.

The church is beautiful with a good aesthetic and commands a majestic view. The entrance to the church used to be a point of concern but they mostly resolved that issue over time. Overall a wonderful place to attend syro malabar holy mass

It is a holy place located on the vellayamkudy jn, has school associated with the church. Has huge parking ground and Parish hall associated with Parish. Prayers are answered quickly recommended for your prayerful needs

Situated at Vellayankudi junction on Kattappana - Idukki Road.

A very huge and beautiful construction. The auditorium is one of the best and biggest in the district.

St. Jerom's school is run by the church in the same premises.

It is a beautiful church with good atmosphere

This is a great pilgrim centre and it is situated at Aruvithura or Erattupetta. There was a cristian community from centuries ago and this pilgrimage centre unites them all. There is also another pilgrimage centre under the same church and it is called Valyachan Mala.

The most interesting fact about the Church ; every year, Diocese of Idukki conduct its annual Retreat at dioceseal level in this parish. Every atleast 2 Holy Masses are offered. One in the morning and the other in the evening. Hence, it becomes more helpful especially for the housewives and employment people to participate in the Holy Mass in this Church. Paris priest also available for confession especially on Friday and Saturday. The parish are busy with the preparation for the Upcoming retreat"KRUPABHISHEKAM" which is lead by Fr. Dominic Valanmanal, Marian Retreat Centre, Anakkara.

Good place to pray and worship. All facilities like wash room and parking is well maintained and structured well.
