The hotel is too good ,well cleaned ,this my 3rd time visit hotel Picnic ,ground staff is also very nice ...love to visit again and again in Hotel picnic .. plz must try tea ...here they give bestest Tea

In six months time I stayed here three times. My wife and kids love this place.I go repeatedly because of the good service. But , during my 3rd stay, I had problems due to the undergoing renovation work, when I complained in the reception, they connected me to the owner Paulin Madam. She sincerely apologised for the inconvinience caused and waived of the bill. This clearly shows the importance they give to the customers and I really appreciate it. Thank you Paulin Madam. I wish you all the best. I will surely recommend this place who visit Velankanni Shrine

Triple Bed deluxe room with A/C was a very good place for our family to stay. It was quiet pleasant stay here. They were flexible in checkout and checking timing. Enough water available. Even when the power went off they had an immediate backup (less than 1 min). Lift was very good and clean. People were serving us very well. Very good car parking. Food has been served in our room it self. I will recommend this hotel for a family stay.

We 4 people in a double bed room have stayed,
Rooms are neat and no bad smell ,
bathroom was okay
, water was salty (can't really blame the hotel,it's the place of the nature itself)
Room is spacious and staff are good and polite , they also haven't charged extra even we had a late check-out , (as we have late check-in as well may be)
Good place for families to stay

Easy to find place, very close to the bus stand and train station, walking distance from all the nearby churches and the beach. They have a variety of rooms for different rates, the deluxe AC rooms are very comfortable and spacious for families. You get basic toiletries as well. Just get a tooth brush and paste. Good food from the nearby restaurant. Plenty of shops nearby for water and other immediate necessities.

I had been there recently. The place is very close to the main shrine and just next to the Morning star church. The hotel is more than a decent place to stay. We had taken a family room for 4 people. The beds are comfy. There is TV with Cable connectivity but mostly with regional channels which I think should not be a big deal for anyone. For food, there is a Kerala Restaurant just at the entrance of the hotel (I didn't try it so can't say if it's good or not). There is a restaurant in the adjacent Hotel Seagate (which is part of same group) and the restaurant is really good to have breakfast or meal. The staff is really helpful and extended the required help as and when asked. The bathroom is good with supply for hot and cold water for bath. I would definitely recommend this place to stay with family.

This is my second stay in picnic hotel. Nice location, very near to old church, clean rooms, good parking facility, warm welcoming my reception staff Mr. Sarathi. Good room service provided by Mr. Antony. Thanks to hotel management for providing this pleasant stay to us.

The hotel is very near to Velankanni church.It is one of the economically affordable hotels in Velankanni.The room is very clean.There is also a restaurant infront of hotel where u can eat delicious food at affordable cost.The guy in the reception named Sarathi was very nice and good mannered.
Our check out time was at 10am and train at 4:30 pm.So we stayed at hotel till 2 pm .But yet they didn't charge extra money like other hotels.The room boy was also very helpful.If u are looking for a hotel at affordable price in Velankanni go for this hotel without thinking twice.

Stayed for a couple days. We boojed a triple bed room and a double bed room. The service was realy good. They maintained the room pretty well. Water was distilled and its not salty. So it felt good in there.

Nice place. Easy to access. Add on is the nearest by Kerala restaurant... Very close to Velakanni new Church.

It's really awesome and mostly in affordable price so much nearer to the church and at the balcony the church view is really superb.Coming to service it's good and no disturbance in there pleasant place to stay

Hotel is simple and good. Rates are affordable. Staffs are really nice, polite and helpful.

Car parking available and its near to Velankanni bus stand. Food is also nice here.

Hotel picnic is the best lodge to stay in velankanni.i stay with family no doubt about security safety,near walkable distance to church .

Good rooms and polite staff. But there restaurant is not up to mark. Its not kerala style dishes. Trust me i know and dont try this place is you are looking for veg options
