This is a good place for buying freshly caught fishes from fishermen and small makeshift shops

Other than some fresh fishes there’s nothing much to write about. The reasons being

(1) This market is not always there, availability (timings) and variety and quantity of the fishes depend upon the catch/season. Couple of times we couldn’t find anything there and had to go to Velankanni beach area or fish market for buying

(2) Prices are inflated to check your negotiation skills. For outsiders it’s always more or less similar to Velankanni fish market prices

(3) No proper direction/ roads are there, two wheelers work best.

During season you may find good fishes / varieties for decently negotiated prices. Can go there just for the experience of buying near the shore. View of the bridge and sun rising against it from the market looks great.
