As far as Sony Dhabha is concerned as this place requires no introduction, it is quite famous among the tourist and as well as the travellers and also with the locals. the location is in the market of Chail, and there can be a little bit issue of the parking, but overall things can be Managed. The place is quite simple and the setting is basic, but the services are very good and the food quality is very good. Cleanliness is like kind of okay, but the persons or the staff or Family whosever is working there they are doing quite nice as the food is quite fresh and tasty as well and it is actually famous for the food and the himachani Thali is quite nice and the Sweet dish shakar parathe is yummy actually very much preferable. It is a place for the value meals and it is not too much costly, it is kind of a like a moderate cost so the overall experience is very very nice and I would like to recommend all the travellers who are and as well as tourist to going there must-visit the dhaba as we must support the locals !!!!

Super tasty vegetarian thali. Aunty and uncle were so warm and welcoming. The shop always remains crowded during the lunch hour. Before it was 200 per person but now the price rose to 250 per person. But you won't regret paying the amount after having it. The thali includes paneer curry, a fry item, dal tadka, chole, kadhi, salad, chapati, rice and dessert as well. All the items were freshly prepared and were served steaming hot. Also, every item was loaded with pure Desi ghee, but still was so light and filling. You must try if you visit Chail village in Himachal Pradesh.

In my whole shimla trip the best food I had here. Everything is soo tasty. If you avoide the ambiance you will surely love the taste of the food. The cherry on top is the meethi roti they serve you after you meal.
I also loved Kadhi. The taste of ghee is awesome.
If you are on that road or nearby ill suggest you to sit there and have your meal.
PS. - I loved that roti. You will love it too.

I've no pics of the food served here. You know why? I'll tell you- I was enchanted by the quality of the food that it struck me only when they served their signature dessert to take a pic and that's about it. The food here is out of the world. They charge you for a plate or 'thali' in which you get kadhi, rajmah, dal, aloo-matar ki sabji , chapatis, rice and raita. They serve ghee wherever necessary generously. The best part is you could get a refill of the above listed items any number of times you want. They cook everything over wood fired furnaces or 'chulhas'. They charged us ₹120 for a thali which is peanuts if you ask me. Their showstopper dessert which is nothing but sugar sprinkled roti right out of the oven with ghee over it is at par Nutella level delicious. I absolutely loved the food here and would suggest everyone to try it at least once. After that, you'd be sold.

Best dhaba in and around Chail. You can't get better food anywhere else. The food just tastes like homemade. Service is also quick. Reach well in time if you want to avoid waiting for lunch and breakfast. There is not ample parking available. So park your vehicle a little far and then walk down to this place. Mitthi / shakkar roti is best and unique ...it's a must try

Ever planning to Visit Chail, Himachal Pradesh, you should never miss this place for food. What a delicious food these ladies make, you'll love each and every bit of it for sure and that too at a reasonable price. It's the only place in Chail where you'll find the food cooked on Chulah, with the use of Desi Ghee. Yes you read it right
The Aunt you see in the pictures runs the restaurant along with her husband and her sisters.
Note: They serve only breakfast and lunch, and If you want to have dinner also just call her and request, she will arrange it for you as per the availability, as she did for us :)
And this Aunt also got some real skills and reputation in Chail for saving lives of few monkeys who accidently got stuck to the electric poles and got elctrics shocks as she said she learnt the technique from some television show. We saw her saving one in front of us too.

Asli Ghar ka tasty khana. My family had one of the most memorable meals of my entire Himachal trip here. At first glance, the price of 250 rupees for a meal may seem steep considering the ambience and surroundings of the small village, but the experience is truly priceless. Make sure not to overlook the jaggery roti sweet served with ghee before you leave; it's an absolute must-try.

Felt like home. So far, the best thali in Himachal. Have been on the road for 2 weeks now. Tried various outlets but can't beat this one. The owners (aunty & uncle) serve you with love....

If you in chail or nearby areas this is a place you can't afford to miss. This pure vegetarian joint offer amazing food with tawa chapati. Slow cooked with ghee. The best thing comes after the main course. Crispy Roti laden with shakkar and desi ghee crisped in oven. Straight out of heaven.

Awesome place with the best food. It's just extension of your home food. Run by a couple. Go for thali to have a taste of all the items. And do not miss the sweet dish. Himalayan delicacy - Gur Shakkar ki roti, a roti topped with lots of ghee and jaggery powder.
You have to get there by 1 pm of you want a place to sit. After that the wait starts but let me tell you the food is definitely worth the wait.

If you are looking authentic food prepared in Chullha then this is the right place for you. Its around 50 years old DHABA, which is operated by a Family. Must try Mitti Roti.

Delicious and homely food. Loved the kadhi, rajma and paneer sabji. The outlet is family owned and managed, they are sweet people.

The USP of this place is its simplicity. The best home cooked food at a dhaba!! Limited menu, but the food is so fresh and the people are so warm. Everything is served with a smile on the face.
