DE JUNGLE CAFE

A great budget restaurant. Only ate there the once, 2 x veggie dishes, rice and naan, all excellent, plus a large soda water to share, total cost about 500 rupees. Good service. A good recommendation from our local driver.

This restaurant was right near our hotel so we wandered in and couldn't be happier that we did. Ended up visiting 4 times and having different tasty meals every time! The staff are lovely and clearly care a lot about the restaurant (without being overbearing at all). The tandoori dishes are amazing and there's plenty of vegetarian options. Everything is priced very reasonably.

Very tasty food and friendly service! We had a nice chat and enjoyed the view. We went back again after visiting the Periyar Tiger Reserve. When we visited it late afternoon we had the opportunity to see lots of birds. Great spot to sit with your binoculars to enjoy the food and look at the local birds.

Wide menu, excellent food, welcoming service with a beautiful view of fields out the back. Had best fish curry in Kerala. Modest venue that deserves top rating.

Really yummy food had butter chicken + mixed meat fried rice (super delicious!)

Lovely food, nice service. We‘ve been here twice in a row and tried various dishes. The garlic naan is awesome.

Very nice place, overlooking the jungle, I had a number of veggie dishes in curry and other sources, also cottage cheese in tomato gravy is excellent, and fresh veggie in curd; the owner and staff very kind - thank you

Been there 3 times during our stay in Thekkady.

We had lassi and tea, and the lassi tasted fresh with good fruits. The staff was friendly. The view is also stunning.

What a fabulous cafe. Ate lunch then came back for dinner. Awesome food and staff. Great job. Well worth it.

I was a tourist ..just tried this restaurant out after a not so good service in nearby periyar tiger cafe and was surprised by the food, service and ambience

I came here with my family and found that they have cashew nan and it tasted so crunchy and so delicious , do come here for vegetarian food and speacialy for cashew nan 👍🏻

One of the best Cafe/Restaurant in Thekkady, Very near to Periyar Tiger Reserve, Don’t forget to try Pizza and Coffee

I recommend Szechuan prawns and vegetable soup!
