This is the best food I’ve had I. India in the 2 months I’ve been here. So fresh and tasty. I had fish which was delicious. Food is served on a banana leaf with all the accompaniments. Nothing is wasted as it is either composted or fed to animals. The service was very good - the cafe was packed - a sign of how good it is. It is next to the bus stop for going to Periyar Tiger Reserve . Think I’ll go back for dinner tonight.

This is one of the best place I’ve ever been to. One should definitely visit this place in Thekkady. The host, Mr. Praveen, was extremely welcoming. He personally attended us and helped us choose our dishes and no doubt, they were the best. We loved the place so much that we went again for lunch the next day to have the Kerala style lunch. The food was very delicious. The fish dishes were fresh and we enjoyed the Kerala style lunch as well. The payasam was too good. It’s a perfect place for foodies and Mr Praveen will make sure that you have an overall amazing experience.

I recently visited this charming Tuskar cafe and was thoroughly impressed. Especially Pravin Sir who is very friendly and lovely person attends every foodie himself..The cozy ambiance, coupled with friendly staff, created a welcoming atmosphere. The coffee was exceptional, with a rich flavor that satisfied my taste buds. The menu offered a delightful variety of dishes, all of which were delicious. Overall, a delightful experience that I highly recommend to people..A must visit place in Thekkady..

Such an amazing experience. The owner Praveen is a great person. His and his staffs' hospitality was amazing. He suggested us Kerela dishes which were very delicious. We are from Delhi but we tried Kerela Thali and King fish (Surmayi), a delicacy we will not forget. Try the appam and the Chakka Puzhu (Mashed Jackfruit dish cooked by the owner's mother). Awesome dish and awesome hospitality and at such a pocket friendly price. Also, if you are looking for home cooked food, you just have to ask Praveen Chetta. He will somehow arrange it. He got rose apple pickles cooked by his mother for us. The place is close to Elephant camp where you can watch Kathakali and Kalaripattu.

One of the best cafes in thekkady hands down. Whatever food we ordered was bursting with flavours and deliciousness. Their authentic kerala veg meals are a must try. Usual Timing for their veg meal is 12-3:30.

The staff and owner are super friendly and helpful. We had an amazing time here. We loved the food, vibe and staff here so much that we kept going back for all our meals during our stay.

It's good place to have food. We are from Hyderabad and we didn't like food in many places but our driver suggested this restaurant and food was amazing. Ambience was good and service was top-notch. Waiter asked everything and served with love. Owner is very friendly and he insisted to us to come for dinner but we are heading to other place so we couldn't make for dinner. Otherwise we would definitely go for dinner also.

Moreover, the food was absolutely fantastic and they had a lot of vegetarian options too. The staff were very kind, polite and very helpful

Tusker Cafe offers a delightful culinary journey that leaves a lasting impression. My visit on March 23rd was inspired by enthusiastic vlogs on YouTube, and I must say, the experience exceeded expectations.

From the moment we stepped in, the warm welcome from Praveen, the owner and former sportsman, set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. His passion for both sports and food was evident as he graciously attended to guests, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

As for the food, every dish was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to quality. We indulged in a feast of flavors, from the fragrant parotta and rich egg curry to the exotic fish polichathu—a tantalizing Kerala specialty. The highlight, however, was the traditional Saadhya, a lavish spread of Onam delights that left us craving for more.

The following day, we returned for lunch and savored the exquisite prawn roast, which was bursting with flavor and perfectly complemented by the chef's expertise. Each bite was a symphony of tastes, leaving us longing for another visit.

All the staff are very cordial and helpful. If you a vegetarian you have great options and if you love sea-food or meat you are in for a super time. I ate all my meals- breakfast lunch and dinner here and we just enjoyed. Their fish, Appam, Kerala meal are must have. So don't miss this amazing place to eat and chill.

Nothing will disappoint you. The food is amazing. The authentic Kerala style meals. The ambience is just breathtaking. If you are in Thekaddy and have not come to this, then you are missing out on an experience. Try to come here in late evening, dinner time. The food is authentic Kerala cuisine. We loved what we ate here. Chicken biryani was in Kerala style. Chicken roast was nice in tomato based semi gravy. Porotta was flaky and warm. Ghee rice was made of regular white rice, it would be great to have this in Kerala biryani rice.

Kerala meal though is available only during lunch in case you are looking for that.

Excellent Food with very welcoming and friendly staff. You can tell they are very proud of the food they serve and are very happy to answer any questions to less informed travellers such as myself. Praveen (the owner) and the staff were so great we ended up coming back the next day to sample their traditional lunch which was delicious. I hope it won't be the last time we get to spend time and eat here.

The Sadhya was so good and the fish was amazing! Very clean restarting, do come here if you are visiting Thekkady! It is very crowded though, and not wheelchair accessible.
