Porta Marina Seafood

Really nice people and we are like kings for a great price. The catch of the day Grouper (freshest can be) for only 70 euros. Food was great and the restaurant looks to be family owned. Definitely would come back. Surrounding area was beautiful.

Beautiful restaurant to eat at right by the beach! Seafood was fresh and tasty. Had such a great time that we decided to order more food and just sit to watch the sun set. Would definitely return. This is my most missed restaurant of our Italy trip.

We felt like we found a hidden gem when we ate here. We were searching for a nice fish restaurant and looked on Google maps, saw this was highly rated so decided to try. So glad we did, a little walk out of Sorrento centre, well worth the little stroll. I had fish of the day (monkfish) with pasta, girlfriend had pasta with seafood. We were both blown away with how good it was. Definitely the best seafood we've ever tasted and we have travelled around Europe. We looked at the meals on other tables and they looked just as good. I don't think you can come to Sorrento without trying here. Easily the best place we've eaten during our stay. I think we'll come back to Sorrento, if we do we will definitely come back to Porta Marina Seafood

Shame we wouldn’t give 6 stars! Delicious sea food pasta, and best of all… the nicest friendliest staff and welcome we’ve had in Italy. Super friendly, so attentive, very welcoming and we were given a glass of wine whilst we waited as they were very busy. Fantastic food and hospitality 😍

One of the best prepared piece of fish I've had in decades of travel. It was the catch of the day (swordfish) simply grilled to perfection.

She had the prawns (you get 5 big ones- see pictures).

The grilled veggies side were also exceptional.

Wine was well priced.

Family run for generations. Very friendly and helpful.

It's a great story how this restaurant was founded by two fishermen selling their daily catch in the restaurant. The seafood is very fresh and generous portion. It's delicious. The waitress gave us a glass of white wine when we arrived at the restaurant. We enjoyed the wine and the ocean view as we waited for our table.

This restaurant can only be a 5/5!!!! The staff are extremely personable and very welcoming. From the minute we sat down, we received our food in good time and had lovely interactions with the staff. The story behind the restaurant is also very sweet! All in all this was the best seafood & pasta I have ever had. We loved it so much we went back twice during our holiday and there were other tables who also returned. I will always think about this place.wow wow wow!!!!

Absolutely loved our experience having lunch at Porta Marina. The food was as amazing as the service. It was raining hard and they were standing in front of the customers tables with umbrellas to make sure no one got wet. We ordered the mussels in marinara and seafood past and neither dish disappointed - absolutely delicious! They also had the best tiramisu we had in our trip. Highly recommend!

I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. We had delicious muscles, grilled prawns (shrimp), and calamari! We came one day for lunch and had to come back for more the next day! Great atmosphere by the water and the waiters are so very kind💕

First time reviewing a restaurant. This place collectively rocked mine and my girlfriend’s socks off! Fresh is the definitive word of Porta Marina as everything from the pasta, to the seafood, even to the dessert are all freshly made/caught everyday. A family business hailing from generations of fishermen where everyone involved cares deeply about both the service and food. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, making the experience feel as if you were joining their family for a meal. The atmosphere can’t get any better with a picturesque beach front view of the Gulf di Napoli. We spent over a month traveling all across Europe enjoying great meals from Paris to Amsterdam. We can confidently say that our meal at Porta Marina was the best we had! The two rounds of limoncello were also greatly appreciated ;)

This place is absolutely amazing and one of the best places on all our travels over Italy! The seafood is super fresh and so delicious, the atmosphere of the restaurant is so welcoming yet homely at the same time. A must try is the seafood spaghetti as it true was phenomenal, amazing all around!

Some of the most fantastic seafood we have ever had. On top of this the service was absolutely 5*. Friendly and welcoming whilst also being highly efficient. Adding to all of this is the picture perfect view. We ate in the evening and were lucky enough to have beautiful weather so sat outside. Absolutely perfect experience all round and cannot recommend highly enough. There a reason this restaurant is so highly rated, and we can only add to that!

What a place! Beautiful view, the friendliest service & amazing food. My husband and I had the best time! I got the swordfish and my husband got the seafood risotto, both delicious and fresh! I definitely recommend getting there before 7:00 if possible. We got there at around 6:45pm and there were only a few tables but by the time we left around 8:00pm it was packed!

Absolutely amazing place - food, service everything is immaculate. You will find this place absolutely full even offseason, however waiting time is super quick and you get a delicious glass of wine as soon as you arrive. Highly Recommended

What can I say, absolutely at a loss for words! The food is above exceptional! The service and portions are unreal! Family owned restaurant, with fresh catch of the day going forward into four generations. The food is incredibly delicious, fresh seafood, huge family style portions. Would leave a 6 for atmosphere if I could. One of the most picturesque places to eat dinner in the Amalfi Coast. Great views, smells from the ocean, and overall awesome food and service. Small restaurant feels but the place is always busy.
Their octopus is very good, and all their dishes are very consistent. Hard to go wrong here.

This was one of our favorite meals in Sorrento! The fish was fresh, the pasta was homemade, the drinks were refreshing, the view was unbeatable, and the service was stellar. I would come back in a second.
