Ellex Hotel

Stayed last week with the family at the Ellex Hotel.

Even before our stay the contact with the hotel was very friendly and smooth. We were dealt with smoothly and no help was too much. For example, other restaurants were arranged on a daily basis.

On site, the location of the hotel was excellent. In a cul-de-sac, yet right in the center, clean next to the ski elevator.

The reception was fine. The rooms were clean and were equipped with a balcony with a beautiful view over the village.

Breakfast was also excellent. Very much choice and lots of choices. Definitely kudos also to the man and woman in the breakfast room who had an eye for detail. Everything was replenished very quickly.

No negative point to mention throughout our stay.

Excellent was from both the cleaning staff, the man and woman in the breakfast room and Bruna who arranged everything for us.

Bit of a walk up hill but once your up there is such a beautiful hotel, cosy , excellent breakfast. Clean and high quality

A nice, small and cosy hotel with 5 star service. We stayed here for 1 night only (unfortunately) before a tough week of mountenering up on Monte Rosa. The rooms are of good size. We had a very comfy queen size bed. We got 3 separate rooms within our group and we all had balconies with great views. The service provided by the receptionist was truly 5 stars, some of the best I had. The receptionist was clear and proactive in helping us. For example at check-in she recommended we book a restaurant as soon as possible as places filled up fast and proceeded to call several restaurants until she found us a space. The breakfast was also amazing with a great variety of (mostly) local foods. The hotel has a great sustainable angle without impacting comfort for example the breakfast on display was all vegetarian although if you wished for ham this could be requested.

Very sweet hotel, extremely friendly staff, and super convenient for skiing- from its proximity to slopes, ski lift and ski shop to rent equipment. The breakfast is a highlight for itself with many homemade cakes etc. Highly recommend.

From the first email with the lovely Florisa and Bruna, we felt looked after. Their attention to detail in these difficult times to travel meant our trip was stress free and easy. They sent reminders for what was required prior to travelling and made initial bookings at restaurants so we could just turn up with an itinerary. The breakfast was lovely and the staff could not do enough for us- so friendly and welcoming. I cannot recommend this hotel enough - it was really a pleasure to stay there. Not far from the gondola either which made our ski trip one of the best.

A wonderful stay at Ellex, our many email queries prior to arrival were answered speedily. Lovely rooms and very relaxed vibe and a varied and delicious healthy breakfast each morning. The ski in and out works brilliantly with a great ski locker and hot boot warmers making the morning race for first lift easier :)

I also appreciated the spa in the basement with sauna, steam and warm jacuzzi, so relaxing after a long day on the mountain.
The village although small has something for everyone and you are greeted with smiles at all the bars restaurants and shops. The skiing was fab with many varied runs with spectacular scenery, the black run Olen being my favourite vista. We are hoping to return in the summer time.

Beautiful place, amazing rooms, super cozy public living room. All modern, clean and spacious. Great family-like service. Its not cheap, but worth it.

The hotel was so beautiful, the stuff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel breakfast was very good and the spa and Finnish sauna was the best!!!!!

Lovely place. Wonderful staff. Everything as it should be. Beds could be comfier, but doesn't really matter considering the location and the accommadating staff.

Good rooms, service and breakfast. Restaurant is closed for dinner so you must go out and there are very few places to eat in the vicinity.

Lovely hotel, with great hospitality and very friendly staff. Very comfortable rooms with good facilities and very good food. Highly recommended.

Week end perfetto, hotel carinissimo, arredato con una cura al dettaglio quasi maniacale, abbiamo trascorso il pomeriggio nella loro SPA , i plus si sprecano nel descrivere questa struttura che potrebbe e assolutamenteessere un 4 stelle.
La proprietaria semplicemente meravigliosa, disponibile, gentile.
Consigliato oltre che per chi amana lo sci anche per un fine settimana romantico nella loro mansarda.

L'hotel è molto bello ben arredato accogliente caldo, molto particolare sembra di entrare in una fiaba caminetto acceso la sera un incanto. La posizione è strategica per arrivare agli impianti. Proprietari veramente disponibili personale in reception Bruna pronta a soddisfare le richieste che gli facevamo.
Hotel estremamente pulito, colazione abbondante, centro benessere veramente carino. Tutto impeccabile.
La camera mansardata un altra sorpresa letto comodo.
Insomma che dire siamo arrivati per caso ma ci ripassaremo per scelta.
Stra felici.

Abbiamo soggiornato nel periodo invernale, davvero un'ottima struttura, praticamente sulle piste da sci.
Gli interni e le camere sono perfettamente arredate in stile montano con largo utilizzo di legno, il bagno è spazioso così come le camere, complete di divanetto e ampio armadio.
La colazione rientra in quei rarissimi casi in cui si può definire letteralmente eccellente: si dispone di ogni tipo di dolce fatto in casa (anche con farine particolari e meno raffinate), confetture, frutta secca....la parte salata con ottimi formaggi locali (toma di Gressoney, fontina, Bleu d'Aoste...), pane e uova (gli affettati non vengono serviti per una scelta etica).
Il personale è davvero professionale e accogliente, ci ha dato anche moltissime indicazioni su dove cenare.
La struttura è dotata di comodo parcheggio e locale sci/scarponi perfettamente riscaldato.
Inutile dire che sarà il nostro punto di riferimento per la nostra prossima visita in valle!
