La Trattoria

La Trattoria is by far the best restaurant in Rapallo and definitely one of the best dining experiences we had in Italy. It combines in a unique way the local recipes of Liguria with modern Italian cuisine. The taste of their pesto is simply unforgettable. All these are combined with excellent service and good prices.

Wow! Went here twice on our vacation in Rapallo because the food and service was amazing. If you want to try Ligurian food, this is a great place to visit. We loved everything we tried on the menu.

Lovely ambience and the guys here are excellent at hosting, they are friendly and also take time to explain the dishes. I had pasta with pesto which was so tasty, I really wanted to try another meal but was so full. Their portions are really generous. The restaurant was filled with mostly locals so you know it's the right place to try authentic food from the region.

Had one of the best fritto misto ever (sorry nothing can beat the south italy ones) :D the fish tartar was very enjoyable as well. Good service all in all.

Food was great. Italian style with a touch of gastronomie. The place is really nice. Looks like your in a cave or a kind of cellar.

They have great local wine and excellent prosecco.

This restaurant was for sure the best one of our 8 days trip in Italy! Authentic Ligurian food in a cozy atmosphere!
We had the default starter plate and it was just great. But it doesn’t stop there!! Once we got the main dishes I was even more surprised! The pesto pasta and the ravioli were great! And the rabbit, it was just delicious!!
For dessert we had tiramisu, Pana cotta and cheese cake!! Omg!! No words to describe these desserts!! I’ve never tried anything like that before!!
To finish our great experience, the owner recommended us the basil shot! Wow! Super different and tasty!

Amazing food and super friendly staff!

Absolutely fantastic food, loved every course the super friendly staff brought us. We started with “antipasti misti” and “focaccia con formaggio”. Highly recommend both of them. I then had maltagliati al pesto and my gf had spaghetti with anchovies and butter, which was by far the best meal. Great service and even better food. Highly recommend it when you are in Rapallo.

The stuffed pasta in walnut sauce is different, something I have never tried, and out of this world. The ravioli in ragu is also very, very good.

Good local good menu with a few veg dishes to choose from which is nice to see. The best service I've had for a long time anywhere, let alone Italy. Molto bene.

Amazing place all round. Extremely lovely staff, killer wine and stunning flavours. I recommend the mussel soup and the black spaghetti with seafood.

Very good food and friendly staff, the owner was great answering all our questions about food. Highly recommended.

Lovely dinner. We sat on the beach and the service was really good. We had the pesto pasta and Ragu ravioli, so delicious and local. Of course, you should also try the fried fish.

We enjoyed the last dinner of our two werks holiday in this restaurant. The food was excellent, you could see that they put a lot of love in the restaurant and the cooking.
Even though our son was running around we were never made to feel unwelcome.

Amazing dinner amazing food the owners is very nice man and professional man. One of the best meals I've over eat. The Teramisu is magnificent and the atmosphere and the hospitality was greet. Most recommended for me! The staff very lovely for kids.

Absolutely splendid food and service,the food was so delicious I almost wanted to order it all again. It was good to know of it's use of the local fresh produce from the land and sea it's use of the very best catches of the days fish in the fantastic tasting dishes with just the right amount of everything that not only leaves you satisfied but also leaves you wanting more. Great care and attention is given to every plate of food that leaves the kitchen cooked and prepared by two young local chefs who surpass expectations along with attentive service and a relaxed and friendly environment to enjoy the benefits of their endeavours and a mutual satisfaction from both customers and the owners joy to see the empty plates of satisfied diners, it's definitely a restaurant not to be missed and most of all another reason to visit Rapallo again in the future.

We had a fantastic time there. The service was amazing and the food was really good. We had the house wine which was really cheap but really tasty. The deserts are very creative and in the end we got an amazing shot do "digest" the food.
