Delicious food, I highly recommend the tasting menu that is called "Lascia fare a noi" which is a selection of 4 starters, 1st course, 2nd course and a dessert. Portions are of good size and so are very filling. We loved all that we ate, but the dessert, which was an unconventional tiramisu, was particularly delicious.

Wine is also excellent, and for each glass, you get an explanation of its origin and story. Very attentive staff. When you come to this restaurant you don't only get to savour typical food from the region but you live an experience that most restaurants don't offer so don't miss this spot when in Putignano!

Perfect location in the plaza. We had lunch and tried the antipasti degustation, it was creative and delicious! It was enough to get you full so I couldn't finish the main course. Good value.

This was one of the best experiences I have had in a long time! We had the degustation and it was amongst the best I have had. A lot goes into an experience, this place delivered on food, wine and service! If in Putignano or surrounds - do yourself a favour!

What a surprise. We were actually suppose to eat at the nearby pizzeria, but that was closed, so we thought lets try the Osteria Botteghe Antiche. What a great surprise! We both had the "asina" fillet, which came with zucchini for one of us, and potatoes for the other. I can only describe this as the most amazing steak I ever had. The meat was cooked to perfection, tender, tasty. The zucchini, I do not know what it was seasoned with, but it had a zesty, sweet, flowery taste. It was like you could taste and smell the field the donkey was feeding on. We had an excellent choice of wine. Those who served us were attentive. The waiters speak English. The whole place has a very relaxed vibe, very rustic, it is difficult to describe. It definitely need to be experienced!

A beautiful surprise in the heart of the ancient village of Putignano in the province of Bari.
Traditional dishes, all raw materials strictly from the territory. Original and traditional dishes. Good wine cellar. As tradition excellent oil on the table to accompany the bread and here deserved praise. Excellent service. Highly professional staff.
I will gladly return to try other dishes. Recommended

This place is an absolute gem in the area. Dishes are fresh and delicious, accompanied by great selection of wine. They combine traditional falvors with modern twist/presentation and have solid choice for vegetarians Highly recommended, can't wait to go back.

Medium rare steak from local DONKEY (Asino in Italian)!!! Tender, juicy, no expected smell. Reminds alpaca meat.
Great local wines by glass.
Impeccable service, they speak English.
And probably it is the only restaurant open for lunch. Last order is at 2pm.

Great typical food...a very experience to the Apulia paths.

The food is just spectacular. I would really recommend the "Spesa di Stefano" to enjoy the chef talents in basically any part of the lunch/dinner, from the appetizers to the dessert. Very nice wine selection, the primitivo tormaresca worked really well with our menu. A place not to miss!

This place has fantastic local food. Exceptional service. Great setting. Very impressive.

Gran bel posto, ottimi gli antipasti della tradizione, molto bene primi e secondi se pure ancora più tradizionali. Servizio svelto e professionale. Buona la scelta di qualche etichetta non convenzionale dalla carta dei vini

Unico appunto se posso permettermi. Come discusso gentilmente con lo chef/patron, ho erroneamente inserito due prenotazioni ed onorato solamente la seconda, in quanto ignaro di averne un'altra il giorno precedente. Come da policy di prenotazione mi hanno addebitato 80 euro per la cena non usufruita.
Il ristorante ha cercato di contattarmi, io ero in altro ristorante senza copertura telefonica. Mi sono scusato ma può succedere. Poi, se come mi ha detto lo chef " di sabato sera avevamo la fila fuori" mi fa piacere che avranno sicuramente rimpiazzato il mio tavolo e felice di non avere causato danno.
Personalmente sarà l'ultima volta in questo posto, spiace perché è valido.

Sono il cliente che non torna, non quello che si lamenta (oltretutto per un errore mio).

Sarà mia cura in futuro evitare i ristoranti che adottano questo tipo di policy.

L’osteria botteghe antiche di Stefano Donghia Chef e patron, il punto di riferimento oramai da anni nella provincia di Bari, accoglienza e servizio impeccabile eccellenti materie prime, Grande carta vini con una particolare attenzione ai vini naturali. Tappa da non perdere per chi visita la Puglia . Consigliatissimo

Grazie al consiglio di una amica ho provato questa bellissima osteria nel cuore di Putignano vecchia . Che dire consiglio top veramente tutto impeccabile dal servizio al cibo preparato con cura e passione dallo chef è dall’aiuto chef (una scheggia nella preparazione dei piatti). Che diri sicuramente ritorneremo con piacere.

Un’osteria moderna, raffinata ma semplice. Stefano assieme a Valentina ha creato un posto conviviale dove poter trovare i piatti della tradizione con materia prima eccellenti e una carta di vino ampia e ricercata.
La scelta è ampia ma il conto onesto.
Il servizio attento e cortese e l’ambiente pulito, tradizionale e bello.
