Trattoria Il Casalicchio

Definitely one of our best experiences in Italy. Very traditional and authentic place, with a lovely service, great food and portions that are served very well - the Aperetivo (all vegetarian) is a must and comes with 10 different dishes, ehat an experience! :) Also we were offered the Orecchiette with Broccoli, which we shared together. Also, do not miss to ask for a glass of red wine that is produced directly by the restaurant - we bought an additional bottle because we liked it that much!

We were v hungry after visiting the Grotto di Castellana but not attracted to the touristy restaurants nearby. A short drive into Castellana led us to the treasure of Trattoria. Ask for directions. It is worth the search to dine in this family- and dog-friendly gem. The house antipasto is incredibly varied, delicious and generous. We followed with two orrichiette dishes and the tortellini soup. Stick around for the tiramisu - so different from anywhere else - the coffee and digestives. A joyful feast.

Lovely informal atmosphere and delicious authentic Italian food. Staff is friendly and very helpfull. I would highly recommend the orechietta with sheep ragout.

My wife and I really loved this place. It’s family owned, veggies from the family’s farm, and every meal is made with love. We had a lot of food and the price was super cheap. I highly recommend it if you are ever around.

The overall experience at this establishment was satisfactory. The standout feature was undoubtedly the service, with staff demonstrating friendliness and professionalism throughout our visit, which greatly enhanced our dining experience.

As for the price, it was within an acceptable range...
