Hotel Ristorante Il Nido Sorrento

We stayed here end of Sept 2023 and were very happy with it. The room was clean and tidy, with a beautiful view over the water. Here were fireworks at the bay one evening that we watched from our balcony. Breakfast was great, lots of options and everything we had was delicious. The staff was all very pleasant and extremely helpful. My son accidentally knocked my engagement ring down the sink in the bathroom while I was washing my face, and the manager told us not to worry, go about our day and he'd have it at the front desk for us when we got back. As soon as we walked in the door, he handed it to me in a little bag. He was also very nice to try to help us with trying to get to our ferry on time when I made a mistake on the shuttle times. The only "issue" (if you can even call it that) is that you do need a car or the shuttle to get back and forth, as it's up in the hills, but we knew that before we went, so not a problem for us. Have recommended to some family friends going to Sorrento this year!

Great hotel with great service run by a local family. The rooms have great view to the Gulf of Naples, really liked the breakfast as well. The owner offers shuttles to the center of Sorrento even during off-peak season so it's easy to get by, but in case you get there by car, the hotel also offers free parking. Super nice owner & management, service was superb, I will definitely be back on my next visit to Sorrento.

Are here a couple of times during our holiday. Extremely well kept place with incredibly friendly staff / owners. Definitely got the feeling that we were valued as customers. Food was great as well and reasonably priced for the area. Beautiful views over the Bay of Sorento from the terrace on which you can eat too

We showed up in Sorrento on a whim and came across this lovely hotel.
At first glance I thought it to be over our budget, but we’re pleasantly surprised that it was a fair price. The room was clean and spacious with great views.
We decided to dine in and we’re not disappointed. The owners treated us like family. If ever in Sorrento again, I most definitely will return. Thank you ‘Il Nido’ for making our visit so enjoyable.

Nice calm hotel with nice views of the bay. The restaurant does good food in a peaceful setting and particularly nice on a sunny summer’s evening so you can watch the sunset. What makes it a 5* review is tirelessly helpful is one of the owners,Dino, who is there and lovely, helpful & kind and seemed to be around at all hours.

Dino is a great host. All around a five star, always clean, rooms are spotless, food is great. I would recommend this place to anyone. I would definitely return . It’s not a luxury hotel but the service makes up for it.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the IL Nido hotel in Sorrento, and I must say it was an incredible experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Their friendly and helpful attitudes made me feel right at home.

One of the highlights of this hotel is the stunning view. The panoramic views of the Bay of Naples from the hotel's terrace are absolutely breathtaking. I could have spent hours just sitting there and taking in the view.

The rooms were also immaculate, and it was clear that the hotel takes pride in cleanliness. The attention to detail was impressive, and I appreciated the little touches that made the room feel extra special.

But the real standout for me was the hotel's restaurant. The Italian food was nothing short of exceptional. It was hands down the best meal I had on my two-week trip to Italy. The quality of the ingredients, the preparation, and the presentation were all top-notch. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Sorrento to make sure they dine at this restaurant.

Overall, I would give IL Nido hotel a five-star rating without hesitation. The helpful staff, beautiful view, clean rooms, and outstanding restaurant all made for an unforgettable experience. I can't wait to come back and visit again!

I had the pleasure of staying here when I visited Sorrento, and I liked the following: The location is far from the center of Sorrento. Still, I prefer it because it has a great view over the city and Vesuvio Mountain and is quiet in the evening. And for going to the town and getting back, there is a free bus with a schedule, so no problem for me. The owners are amiable and helpful. They provided everything I needed. My room was very clean, and the shower had good pressure. Don't forget to take advantage of the breakfast over the view outside the restaurant.

I highly recommend Hotel IL Nido! It is a bright and charming hotel sitting on a hillside overlooking a breathtaking view of the sea, Sorrento, and Mt. Vesuvius. You’re close enough to Sorrento and Sant’ Agata to visit but far enough away to enjoy the peaceful countryside overlooking lemon groves. Daytime as well as nighttime views are equally beautiful. Most importantly, Dino and his staff are fabulous! We felt at home immediately. Everyone is kind and attentive. You’ll love the dining experience inside and outside on their patio overlooking that gorgeous view. All items on the menu are worth a try (including their desserts). You won’t be disappointed with your stay.

We loved staying at Il Nido. The family who owns and operates the hotel are very warm and accomodated all or our needs. They even arranged our excursions. The food was excellent. Rooms were clean and it felt like you were staying with family. We would definitely return Beautiful views!

Wonderful location, service, the view is gorgeous to all the Sorrento Peninsula.
Breakfast was plenty with many options. The shuttle service to the city was always on time. If I return, definitely will stay here again!

We loved staying at this little gem atop the hills of Sorrento. Dino, the proprietor, was so helpful and took great care of us. We were there for 3 nights and wish we could have stayed longer!!! Hope to go again!

A special hotel in a wonderful place. Very clean, extremely welcoming hosts, excellent services and a dreamy view. The location is excellent for visiting the main attractions on the Amalfi coast. The shuttle service from the city center to the hotel is extremely useful. Located in a very quiet area of the city, up on the hill, it is the perfect place to stay if you plan to visit the main attractions of the Amalfi Coast. After a full day of walking, all you will need is a glass of wine and a traditional dinner at the restaurant of the hotel, admiring Vesuvius, Naples, Capri and the wonderful Sorrento from above. Great value for money. Totally recommend.

Above even the facilities, for me it’s the quality of the staff. I can tell this is a family owned Hotel and restaurant. They are extremely polite and courteous always willing to help you if you need it. They go out of their way to answer any questions you have or to even drive you themselves to the bus stop if your running late. Their catered breakfasts are more than sufficient to tide you over until your evening reservations and your date restaurants in Sorrento.

My initial review of the hotel itself was more like a 3.8 - a 4 star (simply based on the quality of the bedding/bath towels). But to be quiet honest this isn’t what was most important to me. The staff who worked here made my final impressions on Il Nido and I would recommend anyone to come try them out during their stay in Sorrento !

We stayed in this wonderful little gem of a hotel recently, August 2022.
We loved it, it was spotless clean. Dino the proprietor and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Do not be disappointed if your room hasn't a seaview because the dining room balcony view is outstanding. We booked B&B. You receive a buffet breakfast,
cold meats, breads, pastries, fruit and lots more. It fills you up until evening. There is a free hotel shuttle bus that stops outside the hotel morning and afternoon, to take you down into town.
If you choose to eat the evening meal in the hotel, it is very good and big portions.

Family friendly, spacious 4 ppl room, good bathroom. Breakfast has all you need, including some good pastries. Staff is helpful, smiling and very friendly. Big and easy to use parking. Amazing view. Restaurant is also recommended at night, not outstanding but good.

What a wonderful place to stay, very clean, really good breakfast with lots of choices. It’s a family run place, the owners are amazing - they are always trying to make your stay more comfortable! Thanks Nino for being so great and helpful, really appreciate all you did for me and my daughter! The hotel is up in the hills with an amazing view of the sea and sunset, there is a free shuttle bus every hour to take you back and forth to town. This is my second time at this hotel and I would highly recommend staying here, get a room with a balcony facing the sea. They also have a restaurant with great food and reasonable prices. Stay here you won’t be disappointed!!

Overall the stay was wonderful, breakfast was good with plenty of options.
The rooms are decent and clean.
You can have dinner at the place with pretty good choices.
There's a shuttle bus every hour that picks you up and returns.
The view is really good and romantic if you are into that stuff.
WiFi is good enough.

The only thing I would add is for them to have more kids friendly choices like a gaming room in case you want to relax in the hotel with kids.

My wife and I just left the Il Nido in Sorrento this morning after a wonderful 6 night stay. First of all we loved the location being just a few minutes out of the hustle and bustle of the city center....it's so peaceful and the views are incredible. Also, the hotel has a free shuttle they share with 3-4 other close by hotels...it's very prompt and the drivers are excellent. 10-12 minutes you're in town.
The family that runs the Il Nido are great people; Dino is on top of it night and day. His brother Gianni is more behind the scenes but his presence is felt as the chef. Breakfast is basic but very tasty and filling....just what one needs to start a day of touring. We had a couple other meals (lunch and dinner) which were very good.
The room are spacious along with the bathrooms...both larger than many European hotels.

We would definitely stay at the Il Nido again if visiting the Amalfi Coast.

Excellent and very clean hotel with amazing views! Helpful people and delicious food. Far away from the crowded area of Sorrento on a beautiful hill. It has free private shuttle bus for the town of Sorrento which runs every hour. Free Private parking.
