Malga Ra Stua

We went with family to the Malga Ra Stua using the shuttle service (8€/pax), the road is just 3km and it would be possible to make it walking in about 1hour, with no major difficulties.
While there we enjoyed our meal, with typical ham and cheese produced nearby and pasta, it was all good. In the meantime heavy weather developed and the personnel really deserved 5-stars as they made themselves available to help families, old people and anyone who needed support. It was a constructive experience, and we will remember it for long.

This is a beautiful rifugio which had comfy beds and very clean dorms. Lots of hiking paths from the door. Tasty food menu with more a la carte than most rifugios. Staff were helpful and polite.

We didn't stay but walked up for dinner with a friend who was a local.
Meals were very tasty, hearty, reasonably priced and good sized portions (especially compared to some meals in Florence)
Service was friendly, and meals came in good time. A great night out, especially with the walk before and after.
We want to come back and do a bike tour so we can start over night.

Best starting hiking spot for mtb and hiking. The italian waitresses were very helpful, friendly and nice.

Very nice and well keeped mountain hut. We made a hiking stop in july 2019. The dinner and breakfast were ideal and very well cooked, italian style, with very pure tastings. Host was superb. Very friendly serving, selfmade grappa and above all: we had a very long hiking-day ahead and he dropped us of by car to a nearer and very beautiful place so we could gain some time in our schedule. We recommend this modern rifugio to all hikers and other sportive ones!

Clean and cozy with very friendly hosts. I would recommend it to everyone. You can find a lot of trails to follow from here. We will come back for sure.

Such a nice shelter inthe Dolomites ! The owner of the place is probably the most friendly Italian guy I ever met!!! The dishes here are tasty. And the rooms here just too cozy ! They have wifi for free, clean bathroom, most comfortable bed, everything you need. I really like the place !!!

Just one of a kind in the middle of the Dolomites, reachable by cab or car (off season) for the lazy ones (or those who can't walk all the way up there)
