Great hotel! At 2.000mt altitude, it's in a valley with other two buildings only (two restaurants open only during the day), so at night you can enjoy the full silence of nature. In front of it there is an extremely beautiful mountain (Croda Rossa, 3.000mt height) and nearby the Monte Cristallo (even more beautiful, 3.000mt height too), so the landscape is simply marvellous. You can easily reach (by walk) panoramic trials both in winter and in summer. The hotel fornitures in the common area are a little old-fashioned but in a good shape, rooms are clean and comfortable, staff is friendly and available for helping. Beautiful wellness area, with different type of sauna. The hotel is not easy to reach in winter, as the last 500meter of the street are usually covered with ice

We had a wonderful two-night stay. The staff took ownership of making sure that the kitchen prepared us plant-based meals, especially at dinner. There were enough regular options for vegans at breakfast. Initially we were assigned to a room, 101, that didn’t have a wifi signal or a cell signal. Thankfully they were able to move us to 103 and we had a connection for our stay along with a fantastic view.

The sauna and the pool were excellent amenities.

We will hopefully return soon.

Location and views are superb, the building and interiors are quite authentic (reminded me of Stephen King’s The Shining, but in a good way), the rooms are clean and comfortable, nice bio-sauna on pine cones, friendly staff, good food. Easily a four stars one. Everything that one could wish for when on a multi-day hike in the Dolomites.

This hotel is located on a plateau at 2000 m. elevation, in the mid of the Braies-Senes-Fanes natural park, in the mid of the Dolomites.
The hotel is surrounded by mountain fields, slopes, forests and faces the huge Croda Rossa, a rocky mountain with red layers.
There is no passing-through traffic and you can enjoy a wonderful natural silence and pure air.
From the hotel you can hike and reach the summit of Monte Specie and from there enjoy the view of the Dolomites mountains, including the world-famous Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
The lake of Braies is near by and can be reached by car or bus + hiking.
Staying at the hotel as been great, starting with a generous buffet breakfast in the morning, relaxing, after hiking, with snacks and soups in the afternoon and later in the wellness center. Dinners were also great. The staff is kind and welcoming. Rooms are very comfortable.
Just be aware that the road that climbs to the hotel is quite narrow ( therefore we preferred to leave our car parked at the hotel during our stay): also be aware they do not accept credit cards.More

Super nice hotel! Very deliсious food at breakfast and dinners! Big swimming pool with warm water, sauna, massages. English speaking stuff. Impressive view from room window. Location is good for hikers - there are some hiking routes and bus stop nearby. Higly reccomend!
P.S. note that no mobile service or wi-fi is avalable here in the rooms. Some weak signal can be detcted only in lobby.

Great place to stay with a variety of hikes around. Included meals were among the best we had in Italy.

In uno scenario da favola un hotel curato in ogni dettaglio, personale gentilissimo, cucina ottima, servizi e struttura assolutamente da 4 stelle. Centro benessere fantastico, camere molto confortevoli, la pensione 3/4 praticamente corrispondente a una pensione completa. Attrezzature (ciaspole, sci di fondo) messe a disposizione gratuitamente degli ospiti.
Un vero paradiso ad un rapporto qualità/prezzo ineguagliabile.
Assolutamente consigliato.

Ein fantastisches Hotel in einer sehr schönen Gegend mit tollen Gipfeltouren. Die Touren sind nicht übermäßig anspruchsvoll, aber man möchte auch zur Öffnung des Wellnessbereichs und dem Nachmittagsbuffet wieder im Hotel zurück sein. Sehr schöner Wellnessbereich. Ich war einmal im Sommer und einmal im Winter da, es war immer hervorragend. Das Essen ist fantastisch. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist wirklich sehr gut.
Man kann auch im Winter mit dem Auto hochfahren, es ist gut geräumt, manchmal teilweise eisig. Sicherheitshalber sollte man Schneeketten im Auto haben. Die Zeiten die auf dem Schild unten stehen bei der Anfahrt auf die Plätzwiese kann man als Hotelgast ignorieren.
Ein Kuriosum ist allerdings, dass nur Bargeld (und angeblich "Verrechnungsschecks" - gibt es doch gar nicht mehr?!) akzeptiert wird, das wirkt etwas aus der Zeit gefallen.

Wir waren als Paar für 9 Tage dort und waren von der Ankunft allein begeistert . Es ist für uns als Flachlandtiroler ( Thüringer ) immer besonders :-)

Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und in den Empfang genommen . Wir durften uns auch gleich das Essen auswählen für den ersten Abend .
Da wir vorher Online den Check-In gemacht haben ging es flott und wir konnten auf unser Zimmer .
Dieses Zimmer war typisch urig eingerichtet , was einem dem Flair erst so richtig übermittelt hat . Die Betten waren sehr komfortabel und das Bad riesengroß und neu ausgestattet .

Unser Balkon war Richtung Süden ausgerichtet und somit konnten wir von dort auf die Hohe Gaisl schauen .

Als wir den ersten Abend zum Dinner sind waren wir auch da von dem Flair begeistert , wurden zu unserem festen Platz gebeten und konnten gleich zur Vorspeise durchstarten . Der Rest lief alles von alleine , alle Angestellten und Familienangehörigen sind sehr aufmerksam , zügig und freundlich .

Das Essen war sehr gut und für jedermann was dabei.

Der Wellnessbereich war auch spitze . Die Massage die wir erhalten haben war der Hammer und ist zu empfehlen.
Sie hieß Mali und spricht kein deutsch aber man versteht sich mit Händen und Füßen und ein wenig Englisch .

Die Gegend selber ist sehr historisch , von ersten Weltkrieg angefangen .

Von der Hohen Gaisl kann man in jede Richtung wandern, sei es der Dürrenstein , der Rosskopf etc. Wir haben beim Empfang eine Wanderkarte erhalten die uns gut geholfen hat .
Alle Almhütten die im Umkreis sind haben wir auch besucht und waren super.

Zum krönenden Abschluss hatten wir um einen Platzwechsel gebeten in der Gaststube , somit konnten wir direkt am Fenster sitzen und Abends den Sonnenuntergang hinter der Hohen Gaisl genießen für 4 Tage ♥

Wir waren als Paar für eine Woche.
Wir konnten den Urlaub von der ersten Minute genießen.
Die Zimmer waren ausreichend groß. Der Balkon ermöglicht einen super Blick auf die Berge.
Das Bad war sehr schön und groß. Es fehle nur ein Kosmetikspiegel und eine Taschentücherbox.
Das Essen mit seinen 5 Gängen hatte 🌟 Sternequalität. Die Wein 🍷 Empfehlungen waren immer super.
Das Schwimmbad mit der Sauna waren sehr schön und sehr sauber. Es standen immer Tee und Handtücher zur Verfügung. Die Massage war Klasse.
Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und waren traurig, dass die Woche zu Ende war. Die Ruhe in der Nacht war unbeschreiblich.
Das Wetter war traumhaft und das Hotel war ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für lange Wanderung.
Alles in allem, suuuuuuuuuper schön und wirklich zu empfehlen.
Ein dickes Lob an die Besitzer und die Angestellten.

Abbiamo soggiornato una settimana con una coppia di amici albergo top, ottima posizione x il trekking, scenario top,silenzio assoluto immerso nella natura circondato da montagne e prati verdi.
Personale gentile, colazione merenda e cena top impeccabili, camere ampie e confortevoli, centro benessere completo bellissima la piscina, sauna bagno turco e zona relax fantastici

Posizione fantastica, immerso nella natura e nel silenzio. Ottima accoglienza, staff gentilissimo, camera spaziosa e pulita, ottima cucina. Piscina e zona benessere confortevoli, consiglio i massaggi, la ragazza è molto brava. Ottima vacanza!

Hotel mit einem außergewöhnlichen Flair. Wir haben uns von der ersten Minute wohl gefühlt. Die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig aber extrem sauber. Der Speisesaal ein absoluter Hingucker und das Essen grandios. Wir kommen wieder. Vielen Dank

Hotel situato veramente in una posizione incantevole, è un tre stelle ma ne meriterebbe 5. Ideale per chi vuole staccare con il mondo. Piscina e spa pulitissimi e di alta qualità, idem per la cucina sensazionali. Grazie torneremo a trovarvi presto
