La Stellata Trattoria

First night in Saturnia and we came here as it’s right next to our hotel. Luckily we came early without any booking and they still gave us a table. Other customers that came later on without any booking were not served, so, first suggestion is to book. Location is out of this world. As for the food, from our starters, mains and desert, were all amazing. Service maybe a bit slow, but I think that also reflects that the food is being prepared right there and then. Staff, two immaculately dressed waiters, sorry, didn’t get their name, extremely good at their job. Will certainly return.

Nestled amidst the Saturnia natural springs, La Stellata Trattoria is a culinary gem that left my taste buds dancing with delight. The experience was nothing short of a symphony of flavors that transported me to the heart of Italian gastronomy.

The Bistecca alla Fiorentins, a true carnivore's dream, was a masterpiece of culinary craftsmanship. Cooked to perfection, the meat was tender, juicy, and exquisitely seasoned, showcasing the chef's dedication to preserving the natural flavors of the high-quality cut. With every succulent bite, I could almost taste the rich history of Tuscan cuisine.

The Tagliolini freschi con fiori di zucchina e vongole veraci leggermente piccanti, a testament to the sea's bounty, was a harmonious blend of flavors that paid homage to both land and sea. The al dente pasta was enveloped in a delicate sauce that flawlessly combined the brininess of the clams with the freshness of aromatic herbs. Each forkful was a delightful journey of textures and tastes, leaving me craving more.

For those seeking an adventurous culinary escapade, the Battuta a coltello di manzetta di Chianina con fior di cappero e petali di tartufo estivo was a revelation. Skillfully prepared with a medley of finely minced meats, the tartare was a bold and daring choice that rewarded my palate with an explosion of flavors. The use of high-quality ingredients was evident, and the chef's artistic touch was showcased through the dish's impeccable presentation.

The dining experience was elevated by the attentive and knowledgeable staff, Francesco, who guided me through the menu with genuine enthusiasm. The ambiance of the restaurant, with its rustic charm and elegant décor, provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal.

We wanted a nice lunch after leaving Saturnia… LaStellata appeared on google maps and HOLY COW are we impressed!!

We started with two different ends of the spectrum on local wine, me a lights version and my wife a heavier oakier red. Both were perfect!

Then beef tartare as an appetizer. It was covered in truffle goodness… and the beef simply melted in our mouths…

I had the papperdelle pasta with wild boar ragu. My wife enjoyed the pasta with porcini mushrooms. My son enjoyed the lamb.

Each dish was a highlight in and of itself!

Dessert was a hit with both crostata and the crumble as excellent accompaniments to a perfect lunch!

We will return!!

Perfection, the restaurant, the ambience, view, food just wow. I loved the beef tartare steak with tartufo, also the octopus starter is to die for. Make a reservation though and go for it👍

Took my boyfriend for his birthday, didn’t disappoint, one of the best meals I’ve had, good cuts of local produce amongst a cosy, romantic setting, the waiter was very charming and would thoroughly recommend to anyone in the area.

I’m still thinking about those gnudi I ate last week. This place was my highlight on our Tuscany vacation. Highly recommended! The food was delicious 🤤 and the view from the restaurant is really picturesque. Sadly I couldn’t make a picture of our food, we were just too hungry. ☺ loooove this place!

Ottima trattoria, anche se é una trattoria per modo di dire, é più un ristorante di livello abbastanza alto. Piatti eccezionali, da provare i secondi di carne, si sciolgono in bocca.
Personale di sala all'altezza della location, assolutamente impeccabile.
Ambiente raffinato e curato nei minimi particolari.
Giusto il rapporto qualità prezzo.

piatti tipici buonissimi e fatti con materie prime di ottima scelta! La location, il casale tipico toscano, mi ha conquistata! Sa devo trovare una pecca, di sera l’illuminazione è poca e molto gialla, è vero che crea l’atmosfera ma ho sforzato molto la vista! Comunque tutto il personale è splendido e attento ad ogni cosa quindi “chissenefrega” della luce! Ci tornerò presto

Definire la Stellata una Trattoria è chiaramente non rispondente alla tipologia di ristorante. Infatti la Stellata fa parte del gruppo Terme di Saturnia ed è un ristorante di alto livello, anche per i prezzi! La qualità è molto elevata ma la definizione di trattoria potrebbe essere ingannevole e costringere qualche avventore disattento a spendere più di quanto ci si prefigga. A parte questo aspetto il locale è molto bello, il servizio di livello e i piatti ottimi. Vini particolarmente pregiati e costosi andrebbero serviti in un decanter, ma questa effettivamente è una cosa che non fa nessuno se non a richiesta. A mio avviso traspare leggermente un eccesso dei prezzi, cosa tipica in tutto il complesso terme di Saturnia dove ci si sente un po’ “spremuti come limoni”… ciò spinge a non tornare!

Volle Punktzahl! Wem es abseits der hektischen Therme vor Ort ein paar Euro mehr wert ist seine Ruhe zu haben - genau richtig! Es gibt für mich hier keine Kritikpunkte und es ist nahezu perfekt. Der ältere Kellner schenkte mir am Ende noch eine seiner Zigaretten, der Ausblick während dem essen ist wahnsinnig schön.

Sind begeistert…..
Vorspeise (Octopus) war etwas wenig aber ansonsten alles super.

Bedienung war auf einem sehr hohen Niveau.

Das Steak war eines der besten meines Lebens.

Der Ausblick ist unglaublich schön und das Ambiente passt super.
