Blue Bar

Very good wine and coffee! The owner has a special care towards the costumers, knowing how to have a friendly chat and knows about his business.

In a place full of touristy options, it's easy to fall for a trap and end up paying for something that's not so enjoyable, but the Blue Bar is exception and we thoroughly recommend.

Blue Bar is not only a bar, but also a place where you can feel at home, no matter where you are from 😉 It’s a unique place with a soul, a wonderful owner and a great musician and people who create this atmosphere! Probably one of the best reasons to visit Orvieto. I will definitely come back here someday 😊

Antonio, the owner and only employee is the misting charming host. From early morning cappuccinos to late night guitar performances, he interacts, tells funny jokes, offers free food and is an all-around nicest person you’ll ever meet.

A true find in a marvelous place where a great cocktail bar is tough to find. The owner is a wonderful guy, the drinks are perfect and the ambience is a mix of Orvieto and cosmopolitan.

Anthonny is friendly and helpful. Great on the guitar. Had a couple beverages and chips/snacks. Had a great time. Will be there a few more times while we're here in Orvieto.
My place to have Espresso every morning after a walk.

This is such a perfect hole-in-the-wall bar. Antony is such a charismatic and generous owner- constantly serving us food, topping up drinks and sitting to talk to us. He even brought out his guitar and played for us. We only popped out for a drink and ended up staying for over 3 hours because it was just such a great experience and wholly worthwhile if you’re in the area!

We came on a day where they had run out of ice! So the owner gave us plenty of salty nibbles and played songs on his guitar to make up for this tho we didn’t really mind!!

I also met a lovely American lady (Erika) who has lived here for decades, and even bought her book about the city!

My mom and I stumbled upon this bar by chance in Orvieto and it is one of our favorite memories! The owner is an incredibly kind, funny and generous person. The lattes are incredible and the drinks are strong and wonderfully made. Everything is also so reasonably priced. You feel like you walked into your best friends home. Go go go!

Visited beautiful Orvieto for one month in 2019. Antonio, owner of bar, is absolutely wonderful with a warm, friendly, inviting personality to all visitors.
He also plays a great guitar and will serenade you during breaks servicing his customers ! Do not miss supporting this bar on several occasions, if possible, while visiting Orvieto!

We first stopped in here during our stay In Orvieto last year. It's now one of our regular hangouts both because it's close to our apartment and, more importantly, because of the warm and friendly atmosphere. Great for morning cappuccino and as an evening hangout--particularly when it's not too busy and Antonio pulls out his guitar to entertain.

Best Cappuccino in all of Italy! You can even have Italian quality with American quantity! Lol. Anthony is the best host, and he plays a mean guitar. Can't wait to go back

My partner and I stayed for 3 months in Orvieto from late October 2019 until late January 2020. Antony and the Blue Bar became part of our almost daily ritual. Antony serves the best coffees, pastries, Aperol Spritz's, cocktails, snacks aperitivo, and atmosphere, and always with a smile and song.
Antony is very kind, welcoming, funny, and plays great guitar which is an added bonus.
Go there, you won't be disappointed.

From delicious cappuccino and pastries in the. morning to wine or apperitivi in the late afternoon to sitting al fresco in the evening for a cordial, this bar has it all. And maybe even better than all of that is the host and owner Antony who might even take out his guitar and play for you when business slows down late at night. Next time I'm in Orvieto I'll be sure to visit again. Thank you Antony for making our Orvieto visit even more memoriable and delightful.

A place with lots of personality. I did most of my work from here during my stay in Orvieto. The WiFi is a bit unstable, but better than in the other places I've been to in this town. Thanks for being a great host, Antoni!

Charming caffe, charming owner, true local ambience, perfect for morning cappucino, afternoon aperitivo, evening relaxation. Like all of the "real" Orvietani caffes, you never know who you are likely to meet: local ladies gathering for mid morning coffe, neighboring shopkeepers popping in for espressi , American tourists, expats or students on a study tour. If you are lucky Antonio will pull out his guitar and jam. He is the proverbial host, always introducing folks to each other!
Right off the Piazza de la Republica on astreet worth exploring!
