Remarkable set of human-made caves under Orvieto. Another site included in the Orvieto Carta Unica pass. Lots of interpretive signage in multiple languages. We'll worth a visit for this self-guided tour.

Really enjoyed this experience, I found it very peaceful, and informative. Went here after the other one and preferred this by far. Good to have multilingual information boards. Friendly staff, lovely courtyard to finish with.

This place has a nice exposition of ceramics and other items with not too much, but interesting information about it. It was surprising how many rooms this underground cave had. There is also a pretty impressive well as well.

We stopped by here not really knowing what to expect. We had just finished a tour of the Underground and I am glad that we came by here. What the owner of this house has done is amazing. It gives you a real sense of the History of Orveito. We went in June and there was no line and the tour of the place took about 30 minutes.

Absolutely incredible considering this is privately owned. The gentleman at the entrance was so lovely and friendly. The guide for children was the best I've ever seen at any attraction, they listened the entire way through learning all about this incredible place. Definitely worth a visit!

Very quick yet nicely done review of many caves in Orvieto. Recommend underground tour first (different tour near Duomo)

Really fun and interesting little cave museum. We had the pleasure of being the only two people there, and it is really the perfect size, where every area is super interesting but isn't overwhelming and you can literally look at everything there.

There is also a small gift shop attached where they sell pottery made across the street, including replicas of the pieces discovered when the caves were found. I'm not much of a gift shop person, but really liked this to grab a memento of the experience, especially knowing where all the ceramics were made.

Short visit but a nice chill one. It was very fascinating reading all the uses for the collection of water.

Historic caves of Etruscan origin. Several levels. Also gift shop and cafe with restaurant at the side. Worth getting out of the rain on a visit to Orvieto.

Fascinating underground network and well was very interesting to stroll through. The gentleman at the ticket counter was extremely hospitable as well, and made us feel at home.

A very impressive museum considering it was privately done. Of particular interest as a ceramic artist and fan of caves. Very happy to take home some ceramic reproductions of etruscan pottery done by the charming owner. A fascinating visit!

What a great experience! Probably the best view of the Etruscan caves we experienced while in Orvieto - informative, immersive and a great value. The informational placards and the fact your get to walk through the caves gives you a first hand feel for what life may was like for the Etruscan people. Definitely stop by if your visiting Orvieto. Also a good place to beat the heat.

We added this to our other Orvietto underground tours, they are all different and we enjoyed this one very much.It is self guided which suits us and there were plenty of information points explaining the history ect along the way (in english) Only 2.50 Euro reduced entry (65+) which is very reasonable There were stairs but nothing strenuous .The gift shop at the end sells lovely hand made pottery and other items.Good to add to your Orvietto experience.

This place was absolutely fascinating! It was only 3 EUR to go in and you follow a path around the caves, in the middle somewhere is the massive well. There's also signs all the way around that explain everything in different languages. Even though we visited on a Saturday afternoon I think we were the only people in there which was brilliant! The little old Italian guy that runs the place is great too, he had a surprise for us at the end which I don't know if he does to everyone or not but I won't say what it is in case it spoils it for others...
