We had a lovely aperitivo here. Beautiful wine , meats and cheeses. Great service with a view of the Duomo. Perfect relaxing setting!

Beautiful family owned and operated Cantina a few steps down from street level. Wonderful cheese and sausage board, accompanied by bread, but the lasagna, oh my goodness. I'm not big on wine, but the local wine we were served from the family vineyard was fantastic, good enough to gift a bottle to our driver. Arranged and booked by Mary Roma, this was the perfect lunch to take midday between visiting Civita di Bagnoregio and exploring the Duomo and the streets of Orvieto. When the ticket came, i held my breath thinking it would be expensive based on the service and quality. Boy was I wrong, I questioned the bill to make sure it was correct. What an experience and a great value. Thank you for your hospitality and sharing your family history. Much appreciated.

Wow! This place was just what we were hoping for. Good food, good wine, reasonable price. Friendly cat! Cool wine cellar underneath the tiny restaurant - from 1290!! Highlight of our day! And that says something, the duomo is pretty incredible as well:

Special hospitality from the hosts who invited us inside the cantina on the warm day and prepare tasteful dishes for our family. I would highly recommend home made lasagna.

We experienced the wine and food pairing outside overlooking the cathedral. What a nice experience. We also peeked at the wine cellar downstairs... not sure what to make of that!

Super cool! Super friendly owners, on a slow day, they let us hang out, and even gave us a personal tour of their ancient wine cellar. And excellent food and wine. And a friendly cat!

The Cantina has been here for more than 50 years. Sit and have some wonderful wine, snacks or dinner and enjoy the breeze across the piazza with the best view of the Duomo. My favorite view. And still family owned and worked...go here.

Enjoy Cantina Foresi’s owner Alfonso’s homemade antipasto pate’, wine from their family’s vineyard, and epic family history on the piazza di Duomo. Could not be a better Orvieto experience!!

Lovely wine bar, with good choice of drinks and food, situated right in front of the beautiful Duomo in Orvieto. This is always our first choice for lunch.

Great little wine bar restaurant cafe bar next to the duomo stunning views from the outside tables. Ask to visit the wine cellar it's an experience! Alessandro is a great host !👌

$15 for 3 wine tasting + bruschetta, prosciutto and other regional meats/cheeses...you can also buy local wines for 7 euro/bottle!
