Tipica Trattoria Etrusca

Amazing fresh pasta and possibly the best tiramisu I've ever eaten! Everything else we ate was also so fresh and rich in flavour. The staff were so kind, very friendly and good sense of humour :) Would 100% recommend this restaurant for a very relaxed, homemade style meal in a slightly quieter street of orvieto.

We had a fabulous night at Tipica Trattoria Etrusca, the food was exceptional as was the service. Local food and wine did not disappoint - we had the truffle ravioli, porcino gnocchi, veal with artichokes and topped off with the best tiramisu. Would highly recommend!

Soliman and his team are amazing. I have been to Tipica many times with different groups. He is always attentive and fun. Also, there is a wine cave under the restaurant that he will show you, if you ask. It is a must see!
The food is wonderful, pastas, meats, cheese plates and of course the tirimisu!

We're in Orvieto on a quiet September evening, and dined here just by chance. The food, wine, cheese and location were excellent, only outdone by our host who treated us like good friends. So happy we chose to stop here! The four of us all highly recommend.

We were looking for dishes that weren't the typical tagliere, umbrichelli or tagliolini. We also wanted several vegetarian options. On the street directly across the Duomo entrance, we were actually scoping out the Antica Bottega del Duomo, which was highly recommended. We happened to see this place, right around the corner. We stopped to read the menu posted outside, and were intrigued by all the dishes that said "Orvieto style"--what did that mean, exactly? We ended up having the Orvieto-style crostini (selection of bean, tomato and mushroom). They were warm and hearty--except for the tomato basil, which was fresh and tart. Then I had the mushroom and beef carpaccio, and my vegetarian companion had a warm, flavorful dish of chick peas. They were cooked with oil and salt, then dressed in an herb and lemon sauce. We washed it all down with a glass of valdobbiadene prosecco. But maybe the best part was our waiter, who was irreverent and hilarious. Yes, the bill took a while to come, but that's literally ALL OF ITALY. TIP: If you want to get out of there quickly, ask for the bill right when they bring your main course. By the time you finish eating, they've usually finished preparing the bill. 😄

We are taking the whole family to our favorite restaurant in the world. Service is excellent and the food is spectacular. Looking forward to have a nice meal

We called at 5pm looking for somewhere in Orvieto to take 12 people to dinner. They opened early just for us. The food and service was amazing. The nicest people. We even got a tour of the wine cellar. Highly recommend.

I had pasta with porcini and traditional pigeon. Not really a fan for the pigeon dish but I’m happy I tried it. Service was pretty good.

Tipica Trattoria Etrusca is a great place to enjoy local Umbrian cuisine. We've been here before so it was no surprise to have a great meal and enjoy outstanding service.

My family and I had a magnificent time in Tipica Trattoria Etrusca. The food was EXQUISITE, the service was EXCEPTIONAL, and the overall experience was very authentic and special!!! Orvieto is a magical town and this dining experience made our day in Orvieto perfect. Andrea went above and beyond to make sure that we enjoyed our experience! Thank you so much!! We arrived in Orvieto famished and found this wonderful restaurant. The service was top notch and included helpful suggestions on sites to see in the area. I will gladly return my next trip.

Beautiful food. Best Italian food so far in our vacation. Love their pomodoro tomato sauce. Definitely try dishes with tomato sauce. It will be so worth it.

I love this restaurant, I had one of the best meals in Italy here (which is saying a lot). Simple, perfectly cooked food and a wonderfully warm overall experience. TRY THE RABBIT. It's fabulous. The steak with artichokes was great, as well as the fabulous minestrone soup. The wine delicious. But most of all, Suleman (our server and host) was beyond wonderful. A kind, generous man who recommended all the wonderful dishes we tried and even gave us the recipe for the amazing "green sauce" for the rabbit. Just a very special place.

Classic Umbro-Tuscan cuisine in a welcoming ambiance. Tasty pappardelle with wild boar ragù, sauté chicory and pinenut cake. Good choice of local wines, pleasant service, reasonable prices

This place has great food, and the best attention in Orvieto. It is close by the duomo so you can easily arrive by foot.
The bill was more than fair considering that the food was delicious. We had crostini, papardelle
alla lepre and the typical piccione. There is a variety of deserts and a great wine menu. I would totally recommend this place. You won’t regret it! 😉

The menu features a varied and interesting selection of Etruscan specialties built with local ingredients. A solid wine list emphasizes local wines.
Good value for an excellent meal.
