Garum Pompei - Ristorante - Enoteca

We had an amazing lunch here after seeing the ruins at Pompeii. It’s away from the tourist traps but not far to walk. Beautiful seafood pastas and gorgeous wine. The wine list is to die for and it’s a foodie heaven. They were incredibly friendly and helpful and went out of their way with the children - one has a seafood allergy and they cooked chips in separate oil to the normal one because of his allergy which was really kind. Highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of dining at Garum restaurant, accompanied by my aunt who traveled from the USA, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience.
From the moment we arrived, Giovanni greeted us with warmth and genuine hospitality, making us feel instantly welcomed. His attentive and friendly service set the tone for what was to be a remarkable evening.
We indulged in the grilled sea bream and red shrimps, and both dishes were truly exceptional. The flavors were exquisite, with the seafood cooked to perfection, offering a taste that was out of this world. The chef's mastery was evident in every bite, and we couldn't help but express our admiration – chapeau to the chef!
Garum provided not just a meal, but an experience that will be remembered and repeated for sure. For anyone visiting Pompei, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. The combination of outstanding cuisine and top-notch service makes it a standout destination. Highly recommended!

Food was 5 star. We had no reservation but luckily got a table, super accommodating, dining experience was peaceful. The server was knowledgeable and had amazing wine recommendations (and didn't try to hose the tourists) the seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked and the atmosphere was welcoming and kind.

Paid $120 euro and was worth every bit. (The wine itself was $45 euro 2013 regional masterpiece)

The food and the service is EXCELLENT!
There’s welcome champagne and starter, really nice. The waiters are proactively telling us the best dishes they have at the moment, and was able to give very gd advises.
I like the octopus starter most, it’s warm, juicy with crispy breadcrumbs on the top. Nth can be better than that.
And the tiramisu is moist, I can hv 10 of them.
I have really gd memory there!

Fantastic, friendly service by a 3 person team. Beautifully appointed restaurant, fabulous food! The grilled mixed seafood with a side of grilled vegetables was right on point! The local, house red wine was nice too. My friends salad and gnocchi also well done. Prices are fair especially given the quality of the service and food. Highly recommended! Enjoy.

We had an amazing lunch here after visiting the ruins of Pompeii. Everything was impeccable, service was flawless and the food delicious. We wish we could have tried more dishes. We were in a rush to catch the train and the staff was very accommodating, serving as as fast as possible. Highly recommended.

Lovely restaurant, fairly priced for fresh seafood. John provided service and recommendations. Had the raw seafood, anchovy pasta and a tiramisu - courses timed well with fresh bread, finished off with local apple liquor on recommendation, perfect finish to a meal in a great setting

If you are in Pompeii and want something a bit special and a real Italian restaurant experience, then this is the place. For 2 adults we paid €115 for starters, main and a bottle of wine, which we felt was great value for the quality. The food was excellent - fresh cooked Italian dishes and seafood. And also excellent service and atmosphere. We went early evening (1900) and it looked like all the tables were reserved, but we managed to get a table. There were Italian families eating with well behaved children. I'd definitely recommend this place and would go again.

I had really the best pasta, the best service, delicious Garum Olive oil, a lovely desert.

My evening dinner was never ever before in my life so great and delicious!

I’m speechless, the staff are so friendly, warm welcoming, it is really a sparkling restaurant, if I ever visit Pompei again, will definitely take my breakfast till evening dinner for sure only in Garum☺

When the service is good, will the food also amazing, and I had really great time there.

Delicious food and fantastic service! The waiter was very nice to us and gave us recommendations for the food which was delicious!

My only points would be that is a bit pricier. A wine glass is €7 so probably should have done a bottle than individual glasses. A main dish is around €20.

Nice place and good sea food! Friendly service! We had bottle of wine, starter, main and dessert. The tuna was perfect!!

Outstanding restaurant. Deserving of a Michelin Star! Staff were friendly and provided amazing service and the food was even better. I recommend reserving ahead of time unless you go on a Monday or Tuesday. One of the best seafood restaurants in Naples. Will be returning 100%

Incredible food and service. We got a glass of Prosecco when we sat down and a complimentary taster starter. The food was fresh and tasty. Octopus salad and steak with arugula are a must try. Highly recommend

On our short stay in Pompei, we visited Garum twice. We loved everything about the restaurant! The food and wine are excellent, the atmosphere created by the owner and the staff is truly inviting. This is an outstanding restaurant near the train station past the excavations at Pompeii. Nice staff and a skilled Chef! Highly recommend getting away from the tourist trap restaurants closer to the park. We will go back to this restaurant!!! Thank you!!!

Food was great; you can tell they are excellent with their seafood. Even during the low-season of winter, the restaurant was busy and lively during dinner time. The gentleman who attended to us, Mr Giovanni, was very kind and helpful, and his service made the whole dining experience a wonderful one.

Excellent service, quick, delicious food and beautiful atmosphere. Worth coming back to check other choices on the menu.

What a place! We were looking for a place to have a quick dinner as we arrived in Pompei after an 11 hour drive.
We could choose where we wanted to sit and immediately were given a prosecco 'on the house'.
The menu looked very promising with a good variety of local real italian dishes.
The menu was explained very well by our waiter Giovanni (as we later found out his name is).
As my body does not deal well with cheese, I let him know and (although not eating cheese can be considered a national crime in Italy), he immediately noted that for the kitchen and was remembered later with my desert (without me asking! Very attentitive!).
The food was simply incredible! Ready for a michelin-star good!!
We wanted a red wine, but we are no experts, so left the choice of the wine to Giovanni. Hd brought us a bottle and we were simply amazed by the taste. Just perfect!
The ambience of the restaurant is very welcoming and the service is extremely attentitive. We really felt at home and in the end, spent 3 incredible hours there.
With the bill came the next surprise. 3 courses and a very goodbottle of wine for 2 and not even paying 150 Euro!! Gourmet-food with those prices, wow!!!!
This is our to-go restaurant for the rest of our stay in Pompei.
The menu is big enough!!!
