Contrary to some reviews here, this is not at all your typical tourist trap. It is a pleasant, inexpensive, fine dining experience. The owner is very friendly and imparts his local knowledge upon request. We returned a second night to try more of his delicious dishes. The Tiramisu is the best we have ever tasted. Feel safe to take a chance on this little gem.

We were starving after our long morning of cancelled trains and a long tour of Pompeii.
We chose to exit through the new city gates and the owner invited us in.
We had such a lovely late lunch, with gracious and courteous attention of all staff.
Do yourself a favour and come here if you're hungry and tired after a long Pompeii day

A fabulous family run restauarant, great authentic Italian food, very friendly and accomodating staff, good conversation with owner and wife in a nice relaxing chilled setting. A must visit while in pompei

The guy who owned the souvenir shop in front recommended us to try eating at his restaurant also. so after we got our souvenirs, came here to eat and the food was great, prices were fair, and they spoke English. Thank you for a good experience.

I cannot even give this place enough compliments. My husband and I along with my parents were on a 12 day Mediterranean cruise. We got a taxi to Pompeii who dropped us off in front of this restaurant. The owner of this place was very welcoming. He gave us some tips of how to enjoy Pompeii the best in a short time. When we finished, we enjoyed some pizza (wow) and carbonara (double wow). By far the best food and wine of the whole trip. He shared some olives that were from his own garden. We would go back just for that. Truly felt "at home " and welcomed.

I had a very nice dinner here. I had the Linguina alla nerano, it was perfection! It is only a bit away from the street, the street noise was negligible so dinner outside was just fine.

The best home made seafood pasta i have ever had, and the gnocchi was amazing too.

Fabulous Italian restaurant, beautiful food! Family owned for over 50 years - the blue mozzarella risotto was simply delicious. Fine dining at a reasonable price.

Regardless of what you might think about tourist traps, the food was excellent and presentation was great. I had the shrimp risotto and my wife had the gnocchi; both were amazing. You get bread delivered to the table and there is a 2 euro cover charge per person which is reasonable. I recommend this place if you value Italian seafood.

Fantastic non tourist trap place contrary to some reviews. Owner is brilliant and really friendly and informative and still remembers Pink Floyd playing in 1971

This restaurant and it’s owner made our day at the Pompeii ruins a breeze! Offered advice on parking and entry, with a fantastic meal at the end of the day. Food was lovely and promptly served in a nice setting.

Recommended by our official guide Antonio (grazie mille). I had calamarata with scorpion fish filleted at the table. Che cibo meraviglioso! The perfect end to our amazing day at the Pompeii ruins.

Carlo and his team were very welcoming. Th pizza , fish and antipasti were delicious. The limoncello and meloncello as well. Yes there is a 15% service fee but this is clearly mentioned and the prices are very ok compared to the food quality. An Italian food lover testimonial

Great location, if driving.l you can leave your car whilst you explore. The family / owners make you feel very safe and welcome and have lots of good advice for Pompeii..

Good food, great location and excellent service. Got there early, parked in front of the restaurant and Lello tool care of me and my 78 yo mother for the day. Starting with cappuciono & coronetti before hitting Pompeii, a break for lunch (he made sure we could re-enter the excavations) and a refreshing aperol spritz + limoncello at the end of our day. An excellent overall experience.

The waiter noticed we were new to Italy and taught us a few words and gave us a discount with a trip. Has a lovely singing guitar guy to. Love this place. Great service, food, location and staff.
