Alleria Pizzeria Newpolitana

Our recent visit to Pompeii led us to an unexpected culinary delight. The address of this pizza place was given to us by the owner of the hotel where we stayed. Initially, we didn’t think much of it, as it was printed on a promotional map, and we assumed it would be one of those restaurants that rely heavily on advertisements. However, to our surprise, we discovered a delightful spot right in the center of a bustling street in Pompeii.

The street was lively even in the middle of the night, and the ambiance added to the charm of the place. We ordered pizzas, which arrived accompanied by a bottle of nicely chilled white wine. From the first bite, we were awed by the flavor of the pizza. Having eaten several pizzas in Napoli, we both agreed that this one was probably even better than the ones we had a few days earlier in Naples.

We highly recommend this pizza place to anyone visiting Pompeii. You will be positively surprised by how great the pizza can be, even outside the city of Naples, which is the heart of pizza in the world. This restaurant is a hidden gem that should not be missed!

The food from here was excellent and the service very good. Loved our seats out on the street to watch what was going on. The food was very tasty and the beer cold.

My son is a coeliac so we're used to gluten free offerings or lack of. I have never before seen a gluten free pizza that was indistinguishable from the wheat based variety. Really friendly staff English no problem. And for clarity the normal pizzas and pasta were as good. Absolute gem. The picture is of the gluten free pizza

The best gluten free pizza I think I had in Italy. It tastes like real pizza and the price is okay.

Very good pizza and appetizers. The fried pizza is nice, and worth trying for something different. Quirky murals on the walls. Friendly efficient service. We really enjoyed our experience.

Seriously the gluten free pizza is to die for! The sauce is full of so much flavor with high quality cheese. Good friendly service. Don’t forget to add the Buffalo mozzarella ball! They also have a selection of taste steaks!

Spectacular gluten free pizza. Like the kind that is so good that Celiacs have a small moment of panic thinking it might be regular pizza. We’ve eaten some top gluten free pizzas all over Italy and Europe and this one is officially in our top 10.

One of the best Pizzerias in town. For gluten free people a must visit! The owner is known for his gluten free options in the area and won lots of awards. Also the seating is beautiful. Would recommend 10/10 times

We ate here several times during our 8 days stay, service is great, food is very good, have gluten free options on pizzas and pastas. Bit pricey comparing to some other places...

They give you a lot of food with your order, so don’t order too much like we did! The meal was excellent, 🍕 pizzas, bruschetta, and Caprice salad after a long day of walking in Pompeii. It was so filling they had to roll us out.

Fast service, friendly waitress, very cold drafts. We chose a caprese fried pizza, very tasty, dry on the outside, with fresh ingredients and a big and delicious Caesar salad. Cheap place, very varied menu of pizzas, cannelloni, portions and salads.

Service: 5 stars, kind to Americans, helpful, menu in English. Plenty of waiters to help you.

Food: we ordered 4 pizza 1 calizone, 1 fried pizza, 1 tirimasu, 1 babo.

Pizza was phenomenal. Great seasoning and flavors. My favorite was the calizone. Amazing.

Tiramasu was too frozen and the fried pizza too basic for my liking. Babo was delicious.

The bathrooms and restaurants were very clean! Air conditioning in the blue room.

There is a €1.50 cover per person to sit.

Prices are reasonable, €1 more for some items than in downtown.

I would go back!

We came here for lunch after our walking tour of Pompeii. I'm so glad we found this place because out of our whole trip in Italy, this was our favourite pizza spot! We ordered the Annamari and the Prosciutto and Arugula. The pizza crust was the best, being chewy and slightly charred. We enjoyed both of the pizza toppings but the Annamari was so deliciously cheesy and rich, we loved it and were stuffed after lunch.

We have come from Australia for two months for the food. We are near the end of the trip and this Pizzeria was an amazing find. Our lunch was so good we came back for dinner. The service was extremely warm and welcoming. I'd recommend this over anywhere in this area.

We ordered 4 pizzas and shared them (as shown in the photo) and they were great. Incredible service, even when we ordered a small plate of extra marinara sauce the waiter was open and nice about it. Music was great, price as well (ranging between 6-10 euros).
