Archaeological Museum of the Chianti area

Stumbled upon this little museum by chance. It was absolutely excellent, with some stunning artifacts. Definitely worth a visit if in the area and interested in Eustracian history.

Situated in a lovely small town.

a very good example how a small museum can make a good impression. the exposition is not too rich, but it is well presented. the museum gains also a lot from being connected with the rocca. for just 6 euro you can see all the items plus multimedia presentations AND climb to the top of the fortress tower. the views are spectacular!

Brilliant museum! They almost apologized for it just being a small museum but as far as I'm concerned, it was the best value for the money compared to every place we visited in our 3 week trip. There were loads of artifacts and great explanations of the local area's history and beautifully laid out. Absolutely fantastic medieval town as well. Well worth a day trip and a place we would love to stay at for much longer next trip.

We saw amazing artifacts and went to the look out at the top. We really enjoyed this attraction.

Piccolo, con pochi pezzi ma molto interessanti.. È inserito all'interno della Rocca di Castellina in Chianti completamente visitabile. Se siete in zona vale la sosta.

L'entrée du musée archéologique comprenant l'entrée dans la forteresse. L'entrée est à 5 euros. Autant la partie musée étrusque est assez petite, autant les pièces de la forteresse sont impressionnantes et la vue du haut est magnifique

Kleines, bezahlbares, sehr schön gestaltetes Museum mit einer überschaubaren Zahl an Exponaten von verschiedenen Fundorten in tollem Ambiente. Uns hat das vollauf gereicht, vor allem nachdem das Museum in Volterra temporär geschlossen hat (10-2021).
Vom oben gibt es als Bonus einen schönen Ausblick. Wer genau hinschaut findet u. a. auch einen "Saurier". Das Kaminzimmer im Turm könnte als Filmkulisse dienen.

Piccolo museo nella fortezza del comune di Castellina in Chianti con la storia antica di questo territorio. Qualche pezzo di pregio. Location molto bella. Peccato che la terrazza più alta della fortezza è chiusa. La presenza del magazzino dei foraggi deturpa il bel paesaggio sul paese. Parco della tomba della Montagnola trovato molto curato. Tomba molto suggestiva e ben restaurata. Nelle vicinanze vi è la necropoli del Poggino altra piccola testimonianza della civiltà etrusca nella zona.

Oltre all'interessante museo, da segnalare l'altissimo livello dei servizi, in particolare per le attività e i campus dedicati ai ragazzi. Grazie.

Interessante museo nella torre di Castellina che raccoglie diverse testimonianze della storia antica del Chianti, con diversi oggetti degni di nota raccolti nei territori dei quattro comuni del Chianti senese. Presente anche una ricostruzione del carro di Montecalvario. Si può accedere anche alla cima della torre da cui godere di un fantastico panorama

Małe, ale bardzo interesujące muzeum. Piękny widok na okolicę. Świetna wystawa towarzysząca (malarstwo Charles Szymkowicz).

Bel museo archeologico situato nella rocca di Castellina.
La raccolta è piccola ma mostra dei pezzi veramente interessanti ed inoltre sono ben esposti. Nel prezzo del biglietto è compresa la visita alla torre ed è possibile affacciarsi sia alle terrazze poste sul tetto che su quella in cima alla torre.

Интересная экспозиция археологических находок - предметов культуры и быта народов, населявших эту территорию за несколько тысяч лет до нашей эры. Забавный момент - на одном из стендов дана оценка момента времени когда на территории современной Тосканы появилось понятие частной собственности на землю - если не ошибаюсь, то в 8 веке до нашей эры. Короче, любителям истории рекомендую!

Großzügige Regelungen Behinderten gegenüber. Gepflegt und ansprechend gestaltet, sehenswerte Exponate, schöne Aussicht gibt es noch dazu. Gut gemacht👍
