Hotel Colle Etrusco Salivolpi

If you are looking for the real Tuscany experience in the country and a short walk to a small town this place is perfect. Near great wineries. (Consider CORBUCCI wineries for higher end and Casa Emma for mid range price). The rooms were modern yet country chic. The staff was wonderful. Comfy Bar/reception area. I made a mistake in booking the wrong date and they honored the reservation for next day. Very responsive and helpful. Breakfast had so many delicious and fresh options in another beautiful building. Highly recommend.

We travelled through Italy finishing up at this hotel. Loved the location, central and a short walk to a great little village. The hotel staff were fantastic, helpful, friendly and courteous! The buildings and our room were all quintessential old European country design. We loved our room, rustic but with a modern bathroom and decent sized shower🤣! The grounds were immaculate and pool a welcome respite from a warm day exploring. We absolutely loved the central location with all sorts of options for exploring all the small towns and amazing cities in the region or simply walking into town and enjoying an amazing meal or walk through the local shops! We look forward to coming back soon!!!

Everyone was so kind and efficient. The room was always spotless. The grounds amazing. I love the calazione! The young man in charge was wonderful! Truly, words can’t express what a wonderful time I had!!!

This hotel was a highlight of our honeymoon! From the beautiful location to the absolutely wonderful staff, we felt so taken cared of. The staff set up a free wine tasting in the center of Castellina in Chianti and it was wonderful! They also made reservations for us for dinner every night. The service at the hotel was some of the best we’ve ever come across. Stay here for a lovely, homey feel in Italy! You will not regret it!!

Perfect for us! Great location, helpful staff, sweet pool, yummy breakfast. We biked around 30 miles daily so coming back to this friendly, beautiful spot was perfect for us.

Cute little place at the end of the village and an easy walk into the center (10mins).
It was quiet and the garden is stunning.
The pool is a bit small but peaceful and very welcome if you are visiting in the summer.

Beautiful setting, great staff, great breakfast, good book sharing little library in the lobby in many languages, close to good restaurants 1 km walking or driving. Comfy beds and amenities esp olive oil soaps and shampoo!. Too bad pool was a bit cold

Very charming hotel in Chianti region in a beautifully renovated traditional farmhouse, nicely decorated and very comfortable rooms, we stayed on the ground floor and it was very quiet, a beautiful garden to enjoy in the morning or for a drink in the evening, very kind and helpful staff at reception and in the kitchen, we stayed for 3 nights and had a very enjoyable experience. Buffet Breakfast was delicious.

Fantastic place for relaxing holidays, the house is beautiful and the situation is great to enjoy the Tuscany experience. They only serve a very fine breakfast but the town center is only a few hundred meters away and you'll find fantastic restaurants. But what it pleased us more was the quality of the care they served us with. They were ready to answer and solve our questions and they even went the extra mile by lending me a personal computer to solve a job-related crisis I had. I strongly suggest you stay there, you'll have a memorable experience and you will immediately start looking for time in your calendar for the next visit

The reception staff are really great! They are super helpful and obliging when we put in our requests for help in choosing places for food and daily housekeeping stuff. They are always pleasant, polite and cheerful. Special mention to the only gentleman who does the night shift and breakfast service. Though we speak different languages he is ever helpful, polite and happy looking.
The rooms are well equipped with amenities and the beds are comfortable. Overall a super stay for us. Will stay with them again if ever we are in Castellina 👍
Only one negative encounter in Castellina was the restaurant we had dinner, Ristorante Albergaccio di Castellina. The wait staff was rude, arrogant and unfriendly. The manager was no better. The food was average and the prices above average.

Christina is the best host one can have. She went ahead her usual hosting to us but also helped us for the travel movements and everything possible. People like Christina are role model of Customer Delight.

The property is superb, morning breakfast buffet is wide spread. The location is in the heart of wine captial of the world.

This was our second stay with Hotel Salivolpi and I cannot say enough how wonderful our stay was, the quality of our accommodations, and the kindness of our hosts!

Our first trip was 5 years ago and we were so thrilled with the hotel we couldn’t wait to visit again, and show off this beautiful little boutique hotel to our friends.

There are luxury Italian toiletries, an incredible breakfast, and a lovely patio where you can sit with a beverage from the lobby bar (be it a cappuccino or a cocktail).

Christina and the rest of the staff were so knowledgeable about local sites and events, and very patient with our endless questions and lack of Italian language. They even helped us translate an urgent request with a local pharmacy- our heroes!

If you are visiting Chianti, stay at Hotel Salivolpi- you won’t regret it!

After long, long day of driving and our first hotel/guest house falling through, this was a blessing in disguise. We were pleasantly surprised upon arriving here without knowing anything about this property. The staff is friendly and accommodating to our young family. The property is clean, tidy and comfortable. The hotel is a quick walk into the center of town, with plenty of meal and wine tasting options. The garden and seating areas around the hotel is sunny with beautiful views. The pool looks lovely, but a bit too chilly still. Can't wait to come back, explore this area while staying here again.

We had a wonderful one week stay at Hotel Colle Etrusco Salivolpi. The staff was was so helpful showing places to visit in the Chianti region. Every morning we were greeted with a smile and a great breakfast to start our day. It is a short walk into the town of Castillini which has restaurants and cute little shops.

Located just middle of Tuscany - Chianti. The town also very beautiful and you can take a tour for a couple of hours with a pleasure. There are lots of restaurants and wine and olive oil shops near the hotel. Hotel is very very clean, very nice furnished, authentic rooms, big enough. Marina at front desk. This beautiful lovely lady very helpful for about every information that you need. We couldn't had so much time in hotel but next time just for stay there, i will have a plan for couple of days. Excellent hotel! The rooms are so nice. We had a room in the main building facing the road, but you couldn't event tell it was there. It was like sleeping in the vineyard! The garden/lawn area is very well kept and it wad so nice to enjoy a glass of wine there in th4 evening. Close to town and other towns too. We'd love to stay here again.

A stunning place to stay with traditional Italian rooms which have been modernised, (but not so much as to lose their charm). Wonderful staff and surroundings . Would absolutely recommend this gorgeous place.
