Antico Ristorante Pestello

We had a great meal and service experience at Antico Ristorante Pestello. The restaurant is outside of town and feels very authentic. Our girls really enjoyed the Bistecca alla Fiorentina. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you're driving through the Chianti area.

Our first time traveling abroad. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. Such wonderful and kind people. Although a challenge of not speaking the native language, they were fun and made us feel welcome! They seemed to appreciate us trying to communicate in their language even if it was bad. 😁 thank you! We recommend this cute spot, 100%!

The perfect Tuscan, family run restaurant. Hidden away in the Chianti hills - gorgeous setting.. a great service and divine food. The juiciest bisteccha we’ve had in years, tasty pasta dishes and incredible desserts. I will come back each time im in Tuscany. Superb!

We dined here 3 times while in the Tuscany region. Maria the chef and family owner is absolutely amazing 👏. He brother and mother also play big roles of a fantastic staff. The food from the bread to the pastry are 110% delicious. So much so I went back just to take pics with them. Try the Wild boar it is astounding. I had the best chicken I've ever eaten there. In fact we needed eggs 🥚 for the next morning, Maria gave me a dozen of the best eggs I've ever made. This is a must in the Tuscan region. Thank you.

Just came back from an amazing dinner, very friendly waiters, nice atmosphere- typical Italian. We had the Tuscany platter and that was very diverse with great quality and fresh ingredients, and then primi piatti- delicious pasta. Even our dog was treated like a king. Very well worth the drive! Oh and the chocolate cake is the best you’ll ever eat!

This restaurant was fabulous. We were in Italy for the month of October and this was one of the best restaurants we ate in. We were in Castellina in Chianti for a week and we ate here twice. We had a reservation at another restaurant our last night and we cancelled as everyone in our party agreed we should go back to Pestello. Pietro was an amazing server. The food was spectacular. Great pastas dishes and great meats. The wine list although not large had some great wines from local producers. For what we got the prices were quite reasonable. I would hope to go back here sometime in the future.

Fantastic restaurant -our favourite during our visit in the Chianti region. The place was very traditional, food was delicious and the service very friendly.

We had an amazing lunch. Their wild boar sauce was very unique compared to the others we've tried. Our server, Luca Bannoni was exceptional! Very sweet.

We love this place! Great steak, pastas, and desserts! Very warm and welcoming atmosphere!

Lovely restaurant. The mozzarella and tomatoes was the best I have had yet. Pasta also delicious. House wine is cheap and perfectly drinkable. No view, but sometimes you don't need one (if your company is good enough)

Came across this delightful restaurant whilst on holiday with 6 friends travelling in two hired cars we stopped and parked in the park on the opposite side of the road and were met with a wave and the most welcoming smile. Nothing was to much trouble for this efficient, friendly and continually smiling host who when told that we just needed a light lunch asked that all be left to him and he would provide the best Italy could offer. He didn't disappoint and simply provided an extensive selection of light dishes which were all simply well prepared, served with his ever present smile and devoured in no time. We were surprised that so much food (and very drinkable wine) could be so inexpensive.
If you are ever travelling past this restaurant then stop and find what true Italian hospitality can offer - you won't be disappointed.

Our first meal during our reunion. With twelve people, we were able to choose a large selection of everything on the menu. Basically, we were able to taste a bit of everything over a four hour dinner evening. Fabulous. Fabulous

Fantastic bar and restaurant. We stayed in Fioraie and stopped in the bar to ask directions. Fredrico knew the owner of the house where we were staying and went through 3 bottles of Chianti Classico while we were waiting for him to show up., had a great time. Next night we went to the restaurant and Pietro took care of us. The Veal was the best I ever had, and we were treated like family. It had to be the best restaurant anywhere in Tuscany.

The owner was so charismatic and welcoming. We loved talking with him as well as everything that came from the kitchen. The stuffed chicken was fantastic and you can't go wrong with any of the pici.

We had a fantastic dinner ,the bistecca was fantastic and the spaghetti was amazing!!!Bravo!!!

My local restaurant, a short walk from Podere Patrignone. This is a charming family-run restaurant cooking typical Tuscan dishes very well. Hard to fault, and we send out guests here a lot.
