This place is amazing. Keep in mind it’s a bit off the beaten path but it’s worth it. There is no menu you just say you want the full three course menu for the evening. Great value, Great service! The views are from the path to the restaurant.

Super delicious traditional food and extremely friendly people! We had the menu, the waitress recommended and were so amazed by the flavors. And damn, that view!

The pasta is so delicious here, especially the mushroom with truffle one pictured. Delightful lady running the restaurant. Highly recommend the walk to Bologna for the views. For us it was a set menu of antipasti, two pasta dishes, a main and dessert. (With bread and wine of course).

One of the best meals I had in Italy... I come to Italy every 2 years, this was my first time in Perledo/Varenna and I can say with certainty that this restaurant is a diamond in the rough.

It is a bit of a drive to get up there, but I can assure you it is worth it. There is no better authentic Italian experience you will get anywhere else in the tourist infested Perledo/Varenna area.

Food was all homemade with the freshest ingredients. We had the tasting menu (table d'hote) which is not on paper and has to be explained by the staff. We didn't want explanations and just wanted to be surprised when the food came out. We were pleasantly surprised with various pasta, risotto, meats and cold cuts which were all to die for.
Service was amazing... the 2 waitresses were very friendly and were happy to explain everything. Even gave us a coffee on the house! I don't have enough good things to say about this restaurant.

Highly recommended. Great traditional and home-made dishes from the area. Pizzocheris are some of the best we've had. Better book in advance. I even recommend the trek up and down to Varenna which will make you feel less guilty of the calorie intake.

I loved the primi piatti , pasta platea, suggested by the waitress .. great service but stuff a bit serious.
you need reservation, or call before going, place is a bit hard to reach. it is open on 2 turns and when out of season it is open only at lunch

We were recommended Crott Del Meo by our Airbnb host and we were not disappointed. The girl serving us was very attentive and made the extra effort to speak in English (Our Italian is not so good) and spoke us through the menu options. We opted for the £27 set menu per person which included a bottle of wine to share between the table.
Each course was as good as the last and both our server and the chef made us feel welcome.
The chef also brought out his own homemade Grappa for us to taste, which was a thoughtful touch.
The view was also unquestionably beautiful as the Restaurant sits atop a hill, looking over the lake.

We enjoyed the meal so much that we came back a second time and once again were very happy with our meal.

Can’t recommend this place enough to anyone staying in the area.

Amazing local cuisine! The best food I have had in Varenna. They serve large portions - so one can easily share the various courses. The staff are very friendly. It's a small establishment - so make a reservation as they only take a certain number of people per night. Also quite inexpensive. Definitely recommend this spot when in Varenna.

Incredible experience and food highlight of our trip! Small hole in the wall with great wine and a special dish called patole which is a gnocchi ravioli folded over with ground meat stuffed like thing that is like Uber comfort food. They get their wine from a small local place that isn't really sold anywhere

Dei Crotti in cui ho mangiato, è probabilmente il più "alla buona", ma è posizionato in un bel contesto dove la vista sul lago è molto bella. I piatti sono stati molto buoni e abbondanti, e il servizio veloce. Il menù di ferragosto comprendeva: Antipasto, 2 primi, due secondi e dolce a 35 euro a persona. (hanno il pos) Grappa offerta. Ci ritornerei. Bravi.
