Ristorante Fonte Alla Vena

This restaurant came highly recommended by our winery tour guide and it surpassed expectations. Being celiac (gluten free), I enjoyed the Roasted Veal “Conciato” (delicious, almost like roast beef with a great sauce underneath), Stew wild boar (forgetting the true name but sweet and delicious), Milk mousse with toffee (wonderful dessert) and a San Giovese wine. My three other family members enjoyed their pastas, meats, and beers! Highly recommend for anyone in the area, just remember to book a table in advance, they had an easy-to-use web form.

Great everything. The carbonara pasta was amazing. The T-bone Fiorentina really nice, the only 'mistake' is too bring the whole piece on a hot stone that cooks too much the meat.. so my recommendation is to move apart the meet from the hot stone and go piece by piece cooking. Service was tremendously warming and nice. Good wine and desert as well. I will definitely come back every time.

We truly loved our tranquil and scenic dinner at Fonte Alla Venna! We got there around 7pm and sat outside on their deck and enjoyed the views of the Tuscan hills while eating our delicious meal. This restaurant is a must visit for anyone in the Tuscan countryside for a delicious Tuscan dinner that doesn’t break the bank - especially with truffles. I truly understand why it has received the Michelin Bib Gormand for 5 consecutive years since 2019!

The service was amazing and the waitstaff was highly attentive to our requests and made sure we were taken care of. They suggested great dishes that balanced traditional Tuscan and adventurous cuts. We had the 1) Steak Tartare with Black Truffles, 2) Handmade Tagliatelle pasta with aglione’s flowers, pork sausages and pecorino cheese, 3) Grilled Cinta Sense pork 4) Roasted Potatoes for a side, and 5) crumble cake for dessert. All of this was just amazing!! My girlfriend who had never had tartare before loved the dish. The pasta was unbelievable with the local pork sausage and aglione flower. The potatoes were sooo crisp and light. The crumble cake of the day was so well balanced with the espresso to cap the night. No dish here was underwhelming, they were perfectly executed and delicious.

We will definitely come back here next time we are in the area and we will be telling all our friends about this spot!

Lastly they had the coolest glass wine decanter to pour exactly one glass of wine. And they sell it! So obviously we had to get one!

We had an amazing experience at Fonte alla Vena! The service was great and happy to adapt to our gluten free and lactose free request from my partner.
The location is nice but not spectacular but the most important piece is the food. I had the best ribs of my life at Fonte alla Vena and I can only recommend this masterpiece.

We stumbled on this restaurant by accident but boy what a surprise! Extremely kind waiting staff, we got a table last minute without reservation. Let me tell you that these where some of the best dishes that I had on my entire Italian road trip. Shout out to the carbonara which was the best that I ever had. And that means a lot coming from a guy that eats pasta for a living 😂 Good choice of wines as well! MUST VISIT!!! Perfect preparation for a wine dégustation.

Wow, what a feast. Beef fillet is perfectly cook with a touch of smoke aroma and crunchiness. Pasta with blue cheese is excellent. Everything's is so good. I will definitely come again.

You made my stay in val d'Orcia. Wow! Best culinary experience. Panzanella delicious, and what about the Fiorentina? Tasty, well cooked. All the waitress are very cool and friendly, ready to laugh with you and give suggestions. Prices are competitive.

Michelin quality but very reasonable price. Probably the best restaurant in town, definitely would love to go back!! Also, amazing wine recommendation.

Fine dining. Initially stuffy staff warmed up gradually. Great food in a nice setting. No view to speak of. Lovely anchovy and pesto starter. Also the peach with stracciatella.

Wish we could give this restaurant more than 5 stars! Couldn't recommend it more. Delicious Tuscan food, loved everything we ate (and drank- the wines recommended by Frederico were excellent). Above all the service was outstanding - Frederico was extremely friendly, made perfect recommendations and even organised half portions of the entrees so that we could taste more of their incredible food! Also, I've never before received an anonymous online survey link by a restaurant to give feedback on my experience - really shows how much they care about serving customers. All in all, one of our best meals in Italy, really authentic food, and I couldn't recommend it more if you are in the area.

Excellent, excellent, excellent! The beef tartar with local black truffle was the best I have ever had in my life! Carbonara fantastic as well!

Make sure you find time to dine at this restaurant if you are in the area. Delicious food, great wines (even by the glass), excellent service (this is probably the cherry on the top of the whole experience). Couldn't recommend it more.

This place should be 5 stars, simple as that. Stopped by after visit to Lake Como, Florence, Siena and then Bagno Vignoni, and this has been our favorite meal in Italy by far. And know I did a ton of research on every restaurant we’ve gone to. We ordered the steak tartar with truffles, the tomato soup, blue cheese pasta and heart ragú pasta and milk mousse for dessert. Every single thing was amazing, perfectly flavored and complex enough to keep you interested. I even tried to get a second reservation on our third and last night in Tuscany, but they were booked. If you’re in the area, please go. You won’t regret it.

One of the best meals both my husband and I have eaten. The service was excellent, very attentive, friendly and polite staff who advised us on what wine to have with our meals and didn't make me feel like a bother for needing gluten free bread and pasta.

I had beef tartare with truffles and wild boar Ragu with gluten free pasta, both were exceptionally delicious and very generous sized portions. My husband had Picci and a pork fillet which was impossibly tender yet crunchy at the same time. All the food was the best we've had after 2 weeks in Italy (husband is also italian so 5* from him is high praise!) The cost was cheaper than other restaurants in the same area which weren't as good, so all round it was just excellent 👌

Another favorite in San Quirico! Delicious every time! Once there was fresh sheep ricotta with peaches for dessert.... delicious.
