Amazing atmosphere (both inside and out.)
Dishes were carefully crafted and full of flavour - if you’re looking for something different and special, this is your spot. The cocktails were equally unique and delicious, I wish I had the time to work my way through the full list! The staff are great and made us feel like longtime friends. Thanks all :)

I’m not sure how this place could be any more perfect. The drinks, the staff, the view, the interior were all spectacular. We stopped for an apertif and had some delicious drinks and the cheese plate. They had different aged cheeses which were all delightful. The interior to the restaurant was gorgeous as was the stunning view. We went just before they had dinner starting so it was relatively empty when we arrived. I would highly recommend a stop when you are in Pienza.

Best view on the Val d'Orcia and high qulaity food everything I tried was very tasty service was quick and welcoming!

What an incredible experience. Service and staff are so friendly and accommodating and made us feel as if we were their friends. A beautiful warm and enchanting setting. Delicious Tuscan food and wine and the most incredible cocktails. We went here for our first night in Pienza and had to go again for our final night.

Frederico, Romero , Pinot and Alessandro are the best hosts. This restaurant had the best cocktails I have ever had in my LIFE. Food was amazing as well!!! This is a must see restaurant in Pienza. You also can’t beat the view . I will be back !!

We visited end of May 2024. Located in a picturesque street overlooking the Tuscan valley, the restaurant offers outdoor seating for breathtaking views as well as indoor seating in a very elegant vintage setting.

The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. The highlight of our visit was the bar where we tried one of their specialty cocktails - Leone nel Basilico. The bartender walked us through the story behind the drink, which was invented by their founder, and explained how to consume it. You first take a sip of the drink, where it tastes sweet. Then you chew on and swallow a flower (forgot the name) – within a minute, you feel a slight tinkling in your mouth. Now you sip on the drink again, and it tastes salty in a refreshing way. We’ve never experienced anything like that before.

Our experience at Idyllium was so captivating that we eagerly look forward to the day we can return to Pienza and check out Idyllium once again. For anyone seeking a culinary adventure in Pienza with breathtaking views, I cannot recommend Idyllium highly enough. It promises an experience that delights all the senses.

We stumbled across this place in the evening and decided to have an appetizer and some wine. The food and wine were great and the view was SPECTACULAR. The most romantic spot we have ever seen. The music was spot on and the staff was wonderful. Highly recommend

A highlight of our trip to Tuscany. Drinks are artistic creations. Food is fabulous and the service is above and beyond! We loved it and will go back on our next trip to Pienza.

An absolute MUST GO! Incredible cocktails. Bartenders and VERY knowledgeable. Friendly atmosphere and absolutely stunning view, environment and delicious food. The wild boar was amazing. We will be back very soon! Thank you to the staff and chef at Idyllium!!

The mixologist was amazing with personal recipes. The cocktails were unique, with a breathtaking view of Pianza, Italy!! Definitely a must!!!

Nice restaurant off the main street that provides an amazing view of some Tuscany hills. We stopped for wine and a place to sit down on our tour stop.

A truly stunning vista can be seen from the patio of Idyllium. We stopped by for an aperitivo and they let us order at the bar and take our drinks beyond the restaurant to enjoy the sunset. (There were no tables available on the patio.)
Friendly service! That view though…

It was so incredibly beautiful to sit beginning of January on the terrace, watch the sunset while eating one of the best Tiramisus we had in Italy! The staff was super super friendly and gave very good recommendations! This place is a highlight you don’t want to miss!!!

If I end up getting quarantined in Italy, I would just stay at this restaurant. I could just camp out on their balcony. Not only is the view breathtaking, but all the food we tried was delicious. Such a great selection of tapas! Big shout out for the carpaccio, the passionfruit salmon tartare, the zucchini pie and the cheese and honey. Holy buckets, it was all amazingly delicious.

We barely made on time for lunch. They have specific hours for all the meals and snack times. Views from the outside tables are so nice. We were lucky to have some sunshine to enjoy while eating. Their food options are very diverse. We all got different plates and all of them were very good. Tables were clean. Staff was friendly and attentive.

We stopped by for a glass of wine prior to dinner at another locale, but despite being full, they let us take our wine glasses for a stroll around the town and along the city walls.

Very friendly service and their Montepulciano wine was phenomenal! Grazie ragazzi! 🫶🏼

Decent food with best view in town

The bartenders, Alessandro and Mat are true masters at their craft. We ducked into Idyllium during a rainstorm and spent a few hours sitting at the two stool bar admiring their work and chatting with them about Pienza, Italy, and their travels before and after Idyllium. They were the perfect hosts and we couldn’t think of a better place to be stuck during a storm. (The owner of Idyllium was gracious enough to draw us a map of towns to visit during our stay.) Thank you for making a dreary day memorable.

They have specialized food and cocktails with reasonable price. I stayed in Pienza for only two days and went their twice!! I’d just ask the staff for recommendations and was always satisfied. It’s like a cave bar, with a view of the valley outside. I could see how well the owner designed this place from many details!

Chill bar - great drinks list, good playlist, awesome view.

Visited again recently (May 2023) - still a wonderful bar/restaurant. Highly recommended.
