Tenuta Di Ricavo

Stayed here in July for one week while attending a friends wedding. It’s spit to base yourself while touring Tuscany. It’s very clean , staff are very helpful, the rooms have air con which is very important for this time of year. There is is an excellent restaurant here and also have an excellent wine list . Staff are very helpful with tips on which vineyards to visit . They have two pools where you can relax and read. I highly recommend this place.

Stayed here in 1997! Can you believe it?It was wonderful then and from the pictures it looks wonderful now. Had a great restaurant. Only had 1 pool back then. Getting then was a little tricky down a dusty road. Looks like that's improved. Managers always had suggestions on where to visit.

Spent 3 nights here after traveling down from Lucca. Easy to find, nice friendly greeting. The staff were friendly and helpful and we found the breakfast more than ample with lots of choices. We dined in the restaurant for the 3 nights we were there and couldn't fault it the food was superb and all prepared fresh. A wonderful relaxing stay and would go back at the drop of a hat.

I recently, May 3rd 2013, visited again the Tenuta di Ricavo and found the restaurant to be incredible. With a new chef and new menu I was thrilled with the fresh, healthy yet true to Tuscan cuisine choices. We loved every dish and cannot wait until this summer to return and enjoy the elegant presentation and the interesting food combinations.

Don't pass on the deserts they were wonderful.

We stayed for 4 nights at this absolutley wonderful place. Everything was above expectations: the room with great AC and a terrace with a windblowing view, the pools, the food in the restaurant (Breakfast, lunch and dinner were of absolut highest class).
Last but not least the magnific staff. So friendly and so helpful with everything from tips where to go and where to park.
Cant wait to go back again.

Out of the way....beautifull setting....fully equipped...good restaurant...very nice people...truly an exceptional place in the hearth of the Chianti région.
Several small villages and good restaurants within short driving distances...bring your GPS.
Perfect if you are looking for a peacefull layback atmosphere.
Not a place for high heels, fancy dresses or night life.

We absolutely loved this charming and rustic hotel! There are so many options in Tuscana and we are so glad we picked this one. We didn’t arrive until 2am, which was quite past normal checkin. They called our booking agent to try to get a hold of us to give us instructions for when we arrived. The property is beautiful and quaint with rustic elements throughout. Our room came with breakfast and it included juices, pastries, fresh fruit and cappuccinos. It was also nice to have two options for pools, and we also loved sitting in the evenings in the courtyard with some wine. The staff was wonderful and so accommodating and friendly! Christine and Domitzia were great, we highly recommend and would love to come back!

One of a kind experience. The hospitality and accommodations were top notch. The food and overall dining experience were matched only by the surrounding countryside. I will go back.

One of the most beautiful vacations we have ever made. We were with our little daughter and they took great care of everything.

Wer ein ruhigen Urlaub machen möchte ist hier richtig.
Die Zimmer sind gut eingerichtet. Die Aussicht ist super.
Die Zufahrt ist abenteuerlich,reine Schotterpiste.

Es gibt gehoben Küche,kleine Auswahl aber fein.

Ottimo esempio di recupero di un borgo medievale, convertito in un albergo di charme. Un luogo elegante caratterizzato dalla sobrietà tipicamente toscana. Mantiene tutto il fascino di un tempo in una splendida posizione nel cuore del Chianti.

Sehr erholsam ruhig gelegen. Die Besitzerin ist sehr freundlich und Hilfsbereit. Die Mitarbeiter geben sich alle Mühe den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Kommen gerne wieder. Ein Auto ist jedoch unbedingt notwendig.

Dieses wunderschöne, etwas abgelegene Hotel ist genau das richtige für Menschen, die ein ruhiges, stilvoll eingerichtetes, kleines Hotel mit einem exzellenten Restaurant suchen.
Die Dame am Empfang sprach mindestens 4 Sprachen (Deutsch, Englisch, Französisch, Italienisch) fließend und beeindruckte uns mit ihrer unaufdringlichen, überaus freundlichen und professionellen Art. Auch das Servicepersonal im Restaurant war stets freundlich und unaufdringlich und beriet uns hinsichtlich der Speisen und des Weines überaus fachkundig.
Die Speisen waren allesamt von sehr hoher Qualität und schmeckten hervorragend! Nur die Portionen waren teilweise etwas überschaubar.
Das Ambiente der Tenuat strahlt Ruhe und Stil aus, sodass man als gestresster Stadtmensch seinen Urlaub in vollen Zügen genießen kann.
Absolute Empfehlung!

Erg goed hotel . We hadden room 101. Met fantastisch terras . Lekkere bedden en zithoek. Restaurant excellent.
