Villa Giovanna a Sorrento

The hosts were wonderful! They were attentive. We had our 6month old with us and they offered a crib. Shared stories and wine when we were waiting for the shuttle to town. They met all our needs. On our last day they helped us arrange a car last minute since we decided to skip the multiple trains back to Rome in the rain with bags and baby. It may be years, but we hope to return someday!!

We had a great time at Villa Giovanna - it’s located about 5min by shuttle from Sorrento, which made it a peaceful, less crowded place to spend our time after a busy day in the Amalfi towns. The service and rooms were great, everyone was super friendly. Thank you for everything, would definitely recommend!

We stayed in Villa Giovanna in September and it was amazing. All the staff is super friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was tasty and the shuttle bus they provide is great as it takes you directly to the city centre almost every hour. Giuseppe was very friendly and his drinks made our heads spinning! :) It was special holidays for us as we got engaged and we got a little gift to help us celebrate the big event! Definitely recommend.

We stayed at Villa Giovanna four lovely days and it was excellent. The staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive. They are offering a private shuttle, which drives round about every hour from the villa to Sorrento from the morning until midnight. The view is amazing and the sunsets are gorgeous.
At breakfast they had fresh vegetables and fruits from there own garden and also some gluten free biscuits!
I only rate the room with 4 stars because they could have been cleaned better.

Great little boutique hotel. The owners are super nice and try to accommodate all wishes. The rooms are fine, clean, and big enough. The walls are a bit thin but it didn’t bother us too much. We also had a little terrace which was great. The views are amazing - you wake up and see the sea. The breakfast is super yummy and in a beautiful garden. It’s a 10-15 mins walk Downhill to sorrento, but they have a frequent shuttle and it even drives you at the time you request. You have a bit of peace and quiet in the middle of the busy Sorrento coast. I would stay here again! Thank you for everything!

Wonderful place. We stayed here for 7 nights. A family run hotel, and by the end of the week we felt like part of the family. They really couldn't have done anymore for us! A free shuttle bus in and out of town. You can easily walk into Sorrento, but it's a major up hill trek to walk back, so the shuttle bus is great. Lovely a peaceful location, stunning views with incredible sunsets.

The villa itself is stunning. All the staff was super helpful and really friendly. They took us on their shuttle to the city and to the Baths of Queen Giovana. It was phenomenal. Breakfast was delicious and perfect for a full day of sightseeing. They have a lemon orchard that was in full and the view to the sea was spectacular.

We will be coming back for our next trip to Sorrento for sure!

Lovely lovely place!! Can very much recommend! My and my boyfriend spent approximately a week at this villa in July.

The villa has a beautiful view to the sea that you can enjoy. Also, you don't need the sea view room to enjoy the view since there are many places at the villa to sit and relax. The pool area is compact but super lovely area to do little sun bathing and a refreshing dip to the water.

The room is however a bit dated and not something you maybe expect for the 200€ a night price. Nevertheless, I think the villa as a whole is what you pay for and in that sense definitely worth the money!

The staff is very welcoming and helpful and is really there to take care of you though not pushy so you have your peace.

At the villa you can order little snacks and drinks for a small payment, like 5€ a drink. This was very nice add-on if you hanged out by the pool!

Sorrento is a beautiful little city with beautiful restaurants. The place is somewhat touristic but somehow in Sorrento it didn't really bother me.

Ps. Sorrento isn't a beach holiday kind of destination so if you want to go a lot to the beach, be ready for stuffed tiny sand beaches or less crowded rocky beaches. Also the beaches aren't very well accessible by the car so scooter + walking (or a tiny car, seriously, take a tiny car) is really the way to go if you want to explore the beaches! We had a car and not too small one and oh girl were we in trouble on those tiny tiny streets with our car from time to time. Btw, the villa has nice free parking slots.

My girlfriend and I stayed 7 nights in this beautiful Villa Hotels - it was for us the perfect base to explore Sorrento and the Almafi Coast from there.

But where to start? Firstly, the staff around Laura and Paula is not only super helpful but also fully hearted with it. They have been a great help for us in everything, not only was the whole booking process smooth, but also the hospitality amazing by offering here and there some drinks or snacks. It is a tiny tiny thing, with a huge impact. One of the best hosts we have ever head. + Chloe the dogs brings joy everyday :)

Furthermore, the general location and setting is great. For someone who does not have a car by hand and aims for a beach vacation, it is maybe not the best location considering its quite up from Sorrento Center, however the Villa offers a free shuttle service to the City Center which is amazing! The general Villa is surrrounded by a large amount of flowers, trees (Olives, Lemons etc.) which makes it look like a paradies and very idyllic. Especially, when you are able to offer an ocean view all around the villa. This was simply stunning. Not only did we enjoy the breakfast with this view, but also in the late evenings, its perfect for a sunset.
We could really relax and enjoy, without being troubled by anything.
They also have a bar around the pool, seating area, which makes it also convenient to have an evening drink in the shared public areas and enjoy the views.

Rooms are very clean and big, we havent missed anything, however it might be a bit dated (therefore it might be a bit on the higher price range considering the rooms)

Slight lowlight (if any) - breakfast is rich but too sweat for our personal taste, it gets quite repetitive after so many nights.

We will definietly recommend it to anyone wanting to go to explore Sorrento + Almafi Coast

Homey, welcoming team. The hotel is run by a family which gives it a lot of taste and uniqueness. The whole team is very helpful and friends. And the views are unbeatable.

They also had shuttle bus service to the Center which was very helpful.

And they serve a nice breakfast everyday.

The villa is beautiful and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Lovely breakfast and amazing views. The only down side is that it is a bit far from the center of sorrento and the roads are not safe to walk (no pavements) - the shuttle busses are very good but some of the times were a bit inconvenient for us. We did the cooking class which was amazing!

Room condition was so so but they have really nice garden and breakfast was great. Shuttle service was also good :)

Very nice location with so much property to wander and enjoy the area. The staff is so accommodating and eager to please. It feels like home more than a hotel. The shuttle to Sorento centre is excellent, overall I would recommend this hotel. There is a hotel Joanna Park 100 yards up with a very nice restaurant with excellent food and service.

Very helpful, friendly and welcoming staff and a great view. Free rides to and from the town on set times. Good breakfast and a nice small pool with sun chairs to relax in. Definitely worth my money, thank you for a great experience and I hope to come back in the future!

We spent 4 days in this marvellous place for our honeymoon and it was one of the best choice we made. Wonderful service, very kind and helpful staff. Fantastic location.

Loved this hotel so much! The shared areas are so beautifully decorated and atmosphere very relaxing. Rooms are ok but all in all good value for money.

Lovely place, well worth the hike up the hill, but actually once you check in they sort you out with good transport links. Pool was great.
