Excellent dinner. We had the pasta with shrimp and olive oil which was outstanding. My husband had beef and pork Ragu. Again, a “home run.” We enjoyed the fried artichokes and rosemary potatoes as well, then ended the evening with the tiramisu and I’m gonna Berry to cheesecake. Both were awesome as well. We have been in Italy for 12 days and this was by far our favorite meal thus far.

We visited Buonconvento a bit coincidentally during our Tuscan roadtrip, but we’re glad it ended up that way and we found that restaurant. A real gem in the heart of the town’s historic center! All 3 of us really enjoyed our meals, followed by a delicious wine. Dishes, typical Tuscan/Italian with modern twist, were prepared with care using fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. The place was pretty busy with a great vibe, staff was friendly and kind. To sum it up, it was really pleasant surprise and we highly recommend to stop by La Porta di Sotto 😊

After visiting this wonderful Italian Tuscan restaurant in Bonconvento, I was amazed by the incredible atmosphere and delicious cuisine. Wonderful little Osteria. Very good dishes, somewhat of the beaten path yet still classic and well prepared. Good wine selection (same owner as the wine bar/enoteca a bit further down the road). The coniglio/rabbit was perfect!

What a wonderful gem in this off the beaten path small town. We stopped in for lunch and it was one of the more memorable meals of our recent travels. The food was innovative, creative and diverse. Highly recommended! Thank you!

We really enjoyed this place. The Steak Florentine was very good and the atmosphere was incredible. We got a starter of the ragu and it was so good we almost ordered another! The tiramisu at the end was also incredible. The chef came out and shook hands with everyone and it was a very nice dining experience. We were going to go again, and they were closed that day.

Excellent food and superb service! The ragu is amazing, the tiramisu is quite big so do share it. Do have a meal in this place if you are in the town, you won't regret it!

We stumble upon this restaurant just walking the street and what a great find. The service was impecable, our server was soo friendly and the food was delicious! The tartare is a must, pasta had that homemade texture and even the rosemary potatos were really tasty. Lemon tart Dessert was on point with notes of edible flowers and lavander. Great experience, hope to make it back one day.

Wonderful long table dinner for 15. The chef was amazing. His risotto was perfection. Lovely small restaurant - a true find !!

My fiancé and I went to this place, visiting from America, after getting engaged. The food was so unbelievably good! We got this bean soufflé as an appetizer that was amazing. I had a rack of lamb and she had the risotto. We loved every plate we had. The wine selection was great as well. For a meal like this, you could easily have paid $150-$200 in the states. Our bill was very small
