This is the first time in years (or maybe ever) I am writing a 5 star review for any form of hotel, villa, or accommodation - and I would give 6 stars if I could!

I had an amazing and truly memorable time at Villa Vetrichina. The villa and rooms were amazing, and Patrizia took care of every single detail to perfection. Chef Francesco's daily cooking was also amazing, some of the best food I had in Tuscany, or Italy for that matter. Aurora also did an excellent job throughout. All of them were super warm and welcoming.

It helped also that I got in touch directly via the villa website and email, as that got me their best room at great value. Patrizia was very kind and responsive to questions and requests both before my stay via email, and during my stay.

She, of course, was also very knowledgeable about Tuscany and the region, and I really enjoyed her personalised recommendations - right down even to the detail of which specific roads were smoother paved and more scenic.

An unforgettable place to relax and enjoy Tuscany! Thank you!!

I don’t think words can accurately describe the beauty, peace and serenity of this property nor the kindness and warmth of Patrizia, Francesco and Aurora. Patrizia was very accommodating and responsive to any questions we had (before and during our trip) and to anything we needed while at the Villa. Aurora was was helping during our stay with cleaning and changing of the bedrooms. She was very sweet and did a great job. As for Chef Francesco .. WOW!! Simply amazing. The best food we had during our entire 9 days in Tuscany. We used his services for 3 dinners during our stay but in hindsight we would have done more. He is a fun loving person with a warm heart and incredible skills in the kitchen. The food was marvelous and very reasonably priced. As for the villa we had 11 adults (a mix of couples and singles) and there was more than enough space. For European standards the rooms are very large, as are the beds and they are so comfortable. The villa has many cozy outdoor spaces and naturally the pool is a welcome respite from the heat. Not many people mention the local town of San Casciano dei Bagni, but it is a hidden gem. A non tourist town with spectacular views and a wonderful place to sit with a glass of wine or a cold beer and watch the world go by. The location was perfect for day trips to all of the famous Tuscan towns: Pienza, Siena, Montepulciano, etc .. Our 9 days at Villa Vetrichina were like an Italian fairy tale come true that we will never forget. We hope to make it back some day.

My family and I were staying at Fonteverde nearby and found Villa Vetrichina for dinner through some internet sleuthing. No doubt many of you will have done the same. Thankfully we did, because it was the highlight of our two-week trip. It’s not a typical restaurant - VV is open by appointment (we booked and prepaid so they could shop for ingredients a few days in advance) and there is a team of 3 that served our family of 5. The food and wine were incredible and overwhelming (no one could finish). There are many reviews that have pictures but the best way to describe it is: your long lost Italian cousins are culinary wizards and invited you for dinner.

Had a fantastic cooking class with Patrizia and Francesco. The experience was wonderful, and they are both gracious and generous creating an evening that I will remember for many years to come.
When we brought the kids for dinner they even had them make some pasta, and each of them got a special chef’s medal.

My wife and I did the cooking class with Francesco and Patrizia and had an amazing experience. Do yourself a favor and book with them, it will be the highlight of your trip to Tuscany. Also, if you can book a stay with them after the class you will not be disappointed.

I wish I could give Francesco and Patrizia more stars for the incredible experience, as well as their hospitality. My wife and I were in Montepulciano on a delayed honeymoon and attended their 5 course cooking class on our one year anniversary. We like to take cooking classes every time we travel, but this was hands down, the best experience we've had.

Friends and I attended a cooking class booked through Airbnb Experiences at Villa Ventrichina and it was absolutely wonderful. Patrizia runs the villa while Francesco is the chef and both are incredible hosts. We did get a look at the villa sleeping arrangements and lounging areas while we were there for the cooking experience and I would definitely choose to stay there during a future trip to Italy. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The property is very private, tucked back on a long winding road. This is great for people looking to just have 1/2 rooms at a villa or for those looking to rent the whole thing while having incredible meals and a relaxing time.

I’d like to thank Patrizia and Francesco for the excellent welcome and exquisite food they offered us. Suggestive location, fully surrounded by nature, deers, foxes and more.
Rooms are nicely furnished, with typical country style looking, but cozy and warm.
Food was genuine and delicious.
But what we liked the most was the atmosphere and the hospitality that embraced all our staying there.

We were there for a cooking class by Francesco and Patrizia and were blown away by not only by the food we cooked but the hospitality we recieved from Francesco and Patrizia. We were celebrating our daughter's 23rd birthday and completion of her master's degree. Our hosts decorated the dining room beautifully, made us all laurel wreath hats and my daughter an additional graduation cap. They treated us like family and consider this to be the highlight of our trip to Tuscany. I recommend staying in their beautiful guesthouse so there is no need for a long drive after the five hours of cooking and eating. As a bonus, we took the leftovers with us and had lunch the next day and snacks on the flight home.

So charming and delightful. Host goes out of her way to ensure a great stay. Very clean and pleasantly appointed, not stuffy at all even though it is a beautiful old historic building. Location close to Fighine and Michelin-starred restaurant Heinz Beck Seasons, so make that one night out, its just a path through the woods to get back after a glass of wine at Seasons. The food at Vetrichina is great as well. Breakfadt was really amazing and plentiful. Pool is great for relaxing in summer. Very quiet and layed back atmosphere in the woods away from it all, but just a quick drive to some nice spots. Also try Daniela's in Dan Casciano for a coffee or lunch from here as its easy to reach and has good food.

Villa Vetricia in Tuscany was probably one of the best experiences we have had of renting villas all over Europe. We were 3 families, 6 grown-ups and 7 children aged 2-14 and we had a wonderful 3 week vacation at the villa. First of all the environment is perfect as advertised: A beautiful old farmhouse, renovated with all modern amenities – excellent bathrooms, showers, and bidets; air conditioning in all the rooms (electricity for A/C charged separately), very comfortable beds, most of them extra-large by European standards, beautiful old furnishings but practical and useful. The kitchen is fully equipped with all cooking utensils, dishes, flatware, large refrigerator, dish washer and of course a large dining room with a table that seated 13 easily. The swimming pool was also fantastic – clear water, large, many pool toys and accessories available, pool furniture including many armchairs – a real joy to escape the heat in hot days. Many other amenities: table tennis, outside gazebo with full dining table, outside grill and barbeque, and more. Our only remark was that the 2 TV sets in the lounges could have been a bigger…
The villa itself is arranged with groupings of 1, 2, or 3 bedrooms so that families can have an “area” to themselves and yet join the whole group for meals, evenings, etc.
What made the stay so special was our host Patrizia and her chef Francesco. She really made the difference making this experience so unique. She lives next door and always available for any request or problem. Every request was met with a smile and the team made all attempts to satisfy all our requests. During our stay we had an incident where one of our group fell and wounded her head, she was taken care by Francesco who eventually called an ambulance, was taken to the hospital, stitched, and returned after a few hours. Wonderful care, as good as can be expected. We ordered a few dinners cooked by Francesco – highly recommended, excellent food, Italian delicacies both local and national – to say nothing of the calorie-full desserts. Our only complaint was that there was too much food at these meals. Needless to say, the children got special dishes, always with a smile and an effort to please.
In summary, this villa warrants 6 stars – not 5 and we are sure that anyone who chooses it will not regret it and enjoy every minute.

Villa Vetrichina is a splendid country house with private pool, nestled in the heart of Tuscany. An enchanting luxurious hideaway just a few minutes from the Fonteverde spa of San Casciano dei Bagni in the province of Siena.
The property has six bedrooms, all with private bathroom, air conditioning, Internet connection and satellite TV.
A short distance from the main body of the Villa is the cottage, an independent structure in which guests have access to a small kitchenette with living area, sofa, fireplace and a spacious bedroom suitable for an extra bed.
If you are thinking of a relaxing holiday or a special event: private parties, family reunions, company meetings, private lunches and dinners, anniversaries, birthdays, communions, weddings, tastings, cooking classes, yoga retreats, fitness, treatments detox, retreats for couples, corporate workshops, art courses; of sculpture, painting and photography, Villa Vetrichina is the ideal solution to fulfill your every wish and need.
The very kind owner Patrizia and her assistant Aurora will welcome you in the villa who will delight you with breakfasts full of homemade desserts and by the very nice chef Francesco who will amaze you with superb local dishes, seasoned, between one dish and another, by various anecdotes , the result of over twenty years of culinary experiences around the world.

A presto.
