Albergo La Fontanella

My friend, who was in Italy last year, recommended to dine at La Fontanella Ristorante which is a 8 minutes walk from Fonteverde Resort. This is a little jewel in this beautiful San Casciano dei Bagni village. Food was really good, starters, entries, desserts, all were homemade and delicious. The fried cheese with pear jam starter was unforgettable! Service was really nice, our waiter Julio was very friendly, fast and professional! Thanks for the wonderful dinner at this pieceful village!

We didn't stay there but we ate one of the most beautiful fiorentina we ever had. Beautiful restaurant.

We did not stay at the hotel but went to their restaurant for dinner. The restaurant came highly recommended by the hotel where we stayed. We got a nice table outside because there was a big party expected inside the restaurant. The menu was pretty big and available in English. When waiter was very nice and helpful, and overall, service was wonderful. We ordered several appetizers, a game fowl and a Florentine steak. The meal was delicious and the steak was amazing. We ordered three desserts and, interestingly, the french Napoleon was the best! A bottle of local wine was a must. Overall, it was pretty reasonably priced for everything that we have ordered , 165 euros. The restaurant was within walking distance from our resort but parking is also available, if you drive. Reservations preferred, even on a weeknight.

During my stay at Fonteverde Hotel, I savored dinner on two evenings. The cuisine was truly delightful, particularly the grilled lamb that left a lasting impression. The extensive wine collection and exceptional service further added to the experience. I wholeheartedly endorse this dining experience.

We dined at the restaurant. Great food, lovely service and nice Antinori Chianti Classico to drink. It was busy (Saturday night) and I think reservation in advance would be prudent. Highly recommended, we will return if in the area again.

Loved it - I stayed here with my wife as well as another couple, and we all absolutely loved this hotel, AND the town of San Casciano Dei Bagni. The rooms were beautiful and luxurious, so so comfortable and they both had balconies with brilliant views. The bathroom was large and the shower was easy to use and put out plenty of water. The staff were very pleasant, and there is a lift to help you get your bags upstairs if you have heavy bags (like we did!). Also has good fast wi-fi.
We ate at the restaurant based on other people’s advice in internet reviews and were VERY glad that we did. It was probably one of the best meals we had in Italy. To give you an idea, the restaurant was fully booked but we were the only people who were also staying at the hotel! It’s a major drawcard.
I can’ speak highly enough of this place, I hope to go back another time and spend longer here (than the 1 night we stayed) to further explore the area and sample more off their delicious restaurant menu.

This little gem was incredible. Our last night in San Casciano di Bagni we came across La Fontanella which is just a 5 min walk from Fonteverde Spa Resort.

The restaurant is in a cute boutique hotel that has 10 rooms and I would love to experience a stay in this nice hotel in the future.

We were seated outdoors as requested and ordered the grilled pecorini cheese which is an incredible Italian cheese that came with fresh pear and pear jam. To die for.

For mains we had the papardelle, homemade pasta of course, with local pork ragú and the gnocchi with tomato sauce and burrata.

I truly believe it's the best pastas ive had during my week in Italy after being in both Positano and Florence prior to San Casciano.

For dessert we had the fried local fruits and we had a white chardonnay from Antinori winery.

It is a must to visit this restaurant if you are in San Casciano di Bagni.

It is cozy place with high hygiene level, the owner Mr Daniello is very friendly and their restaurant offers very delicious food.

El lugar es muy lindo, las habitaciones son amplias, el servicio es muy atento, el restaurante en las noches es muy servicial, la comida increíble, probamos casi todo en el menú y nada nos decepcionó, en la mañana es buffet incluye café, diferentes panes y pasteles, yogurth, cereales, fruta, la atención también fue muy buena

Colazione abbondante e varia.
Posto silenziosissimo a due passi dalle meravigliose Terme Fonteverde e vicino a tanti posti meravigliosi come Siena e Pienza.
Prezzi giusti per il contesto e le offerte del ristorante.

Abbiamo prenotato l 'appartamento e avuto una piacevolissima sorpresa. Le camere arredate con gusto, due bagni, la colazione ottima e l'accoglienza del signor Danilo impeccabile. Grazie ancora e a presto.
