Gastronomia Aronne

We had lunch here. This was ideal as it was a stones throw from the main attractions. We didn’t book, but found a table available, the menu is in Italian, but the waiters have broken English or access through Translate apps. We ordered our main and wine, all came in a timely manner. You are shielded from the sun here so ideal of you want some shade whilst eating. The restaurant is attached to an Italian deli selling food and wine, all looking delicious. A great find, with no frills, they just do what they say.

We stopped in Orvieto on a whim, and we are so glad that we did! We chose Aronne because the outside seating was filled with locals, which is always a good indicator of good local food.
We are not disappointed!
All of the food was perfectly seasoned, perfect proportions, and the flavors worked well together. The Clementine sauce with the cheese was divine!

Fantastic dinner to finish our first day in Orvieto.
Terrific antipasto - Tagleri di salami e fromaggi. I had the regional pasta ombrichelli. The dish was Ombrichelli all'amatriciana - it was absolutely smashing, so flavourful. Thank goodness for the bread to get every bit of the sauce.
My partner had Parmigiana del melanzone - eggplant parmesan, which was thoroughly enjoyed.
They have a large wine selection and also vina della casa (inexpensive house wine) currently €10 for a liter.
We dined al Fresco in the narrow street beside Gastronomia Aronne.
Highly recommended.

I really recommend this place. Portions are big if you compare to Italian standards. I post photo of boar and por leg. Meat is delicious. One of the best places! Prices also are very competitive. The food cost 10-13 euro (even for second). My photos are not the best, the food looks better in reality ;).

Very pleased with this place. Looks more like a deli but has a quaint dining room upstairs. Nice menu and classic service. And great value for money. Ingredients were fresh and well put together. Our favorite meal all week.

The dining room has no windows which is a bit odd but you'll be too focused on the food to care much.

We had to wait a bit for the table to be prepared as we had no reservation. but food was delicious, service good and open towards our attempts to communicate in Italian. Wine excellent as well, a tiny and welcoming place.
They had baby chairs as well.

Some of the tastiest food I’ve ever had. Fresh produce and amazing flavours. We had the pork shank and a pasta and both were cooked to perfection.
Would come back in a heartbeat.

Incredible prices for the quality of food and wine. Meat and cheese board was fantastic. Service was top notch.

The place to go to pick up food to go or eat at the outdoor tables. The menu offers something for everyone and they have a daily selection of additional items in the case inside. The baccala orvietana is great, my husband likes the melanzana parmigiana, any of the pastas ( Cristian makes a great red sauce) and we always get the ciccoria ripassata with black olives
Fridays he normally has a variety of prepared seafood dishes besides the baccala
