Hotel Orso Bruno

We absolutely loved our experience at Hotel Orso Bruno. The room was simple and comfortable. We had a balcony room and the view was more than we could’ve hoped for! The staff were beyond helpful and we LOVED the restaurant/ breakfast at the hotel. We stayed at 4 and 5 star hotels throughout our trip and Hotel Orso Bruno was our favorite by far!

Super convenient location right next to the ferry. Highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back!

Outstanding. I rarely leave reviews but had to with this hotel.
Impeccable from start to finish, the staff were so warm and welcoming and made our trip unforgettable. The room was fantastic and clean and the breakfast and dinner lovely.
It was my girlfriend’s birthday and they went above and beyond with a cake, balloons, rose etc and she was overjoyed. Arthur was very helpful in suggesting where to go and what to do, and which restaurants. On top of that, the location is so so beautiful with incredible lake views from the rooms and restaurant. There’s a lovely wine bar underneath too, but that’s separate to the hotel!
Overall this is one of the best smaller/boutique hotels I’ve ever stayed and would recommend this to anyone for a relaxing peaceful Como stay.

This hotel was spectacular! We stayed in a lake view room without a balcony but the view was just as splendid! The ferry and bus station are right in front of the hotel which makes it easy to get around. Our hotel rate included breakfast which was good - they have very basic options but still delicious. There are only a couple of places to eat within walking distance so you’ll need to take the bus or rent a taxi to find more options. Lots of places near the hotel (within walking distance) to sit and enjoy the lake. The staff were all very kind and accommodating to anything we needed. I truly enjoyed this hotel!

It was an amazing experience here!
Me and my girlfriend just booked one night spontaneously during the ascension weekend and when we arrived, Arthur embraced us very nicely and helped us with parking our car. He then also showed us some places we should visit for the next day.
The hotel room itself was also very beautiful with an amazing view of lake como.
We also booked the breakfast which was incredible aswell. They even had a freshly made super delicious cake (rasin cake made in house)😋
We will definitely come back again and I can recommend it to anyone that plans for a trip to lake como! 😊

It is an amazing boutique hotel right at the lakefront and right infront of the ferry dock. We had the balcony and terrace room and the view was spectacular. Free breakfast and it was delicious. It seems family owned so there is a lot of careful attention, they made sure they booked our car transfers and gave us a lot of local tips. The hotel is kept clean and is in a very quaint town. Not much to do in Carate Urio but this hotel is a fantastic and affordable place to make your base and then move around the lake during the day.

The front desk staff was absolutely the highlight of the trip. They were incredibly accommodating for us in getting us taxis, recommending places to go, and helping us with problems in our room. The hotel itself is next to several great restaurants as well as a dock for a ferry. The room was very nice and looked great. The beds were on the stiff side, but overall a great place to stay.

We spent a week with the family (parents + adult kids) at Hotel Orso Bruno. We had a great experience with warm welcome, great location and a spacious family accommodation with 2 bedrooms. The location is very beautiful 10 m from the lake. We used a rental car for the week and you could reserve a parking space in advance for the car. We used the hotel as a base for excursions to Venice, Milano and other places. Great experience!!

This hotel was great! The location was good, right next to the ferry. Eat at the restaurant! The dinner was delicious (smaller portion sizes though) and the breakfast is worth the cost. We had fresh scrambled eggs, croissants, cereal, fruits and more.

Look no further for a beautiful and serene stay in Lake Como. The hotel is located at a ferry stop so you can easily get to Bellagio and Como. The bus stop is also in front of the hotel, but does not run on Sundays. The price was reasonable for the area and our view was incredible. A few nice restaurants around and good breakfast for an extra fee. This was the perfect romantic stay for our honeymoon and we will always remember our time here.

My husband and I stayed here in October 2022 for our honeymoon, and it was absolutely PERFECT! The staff was so friendly and helpful with recommendations for things to do around the area. We had a room with a private balcony with a beautiful view of the lake and they had a bottle of prosecco and flowers waiting for us! There was also plenty of parking. We loved having breakfast at the hotel that had an amazing view and everything you could possibly want to eat! We highly recommended Hotel Orso Bruno and can't wait for our next trip. We would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Orso Bruno during our honeymoon. Everyone at the hotel was so welcoming and helpful. Our room had a lake view, which was beautiful even in the rain. Breakfast was great, as was the hotel's restaurant.

The Urio ferry stop is conveniently located steps from the front door, and it was easy to get on as it is a smaller stop.

We had the most amazing time staying at this hotel. The service was phenomenal and you really feel the small cozy hotel vibe while stying here. We arrived with car and had booked a parking spot in advance and that worked out perfectly. The hotel has a restaurant which was really good as well and in the same building as the hotel there is a Enoteca which is basically a wine bar. The boat which takes you around the lake stops right outside the hotel which was very convenient.
I really recommend this hotel and we will definitely stay there again.

This hotel is a true gem at lake como! Why? Because it offers sincere quality fortunately without the snobby service or prices. We experienced a breathtaking view on the lake, friendly staff for dinner and for breakfast and felt really welcome. The rooms are modest yet comfortable and well maintained. Go here if you want the perks of the lake at value for money.

We stayed in the hotel for one amazing night. We arrived there by car immediately after landing in Malpensa air port, and got great service including a parking space. The view from the hotel is gorgeous and the hotel's restaurant was not less than perfect. The stuff was very helpful and gave us recommendations to the rest of our trip. Definitely recommended!

We stayed for 4 nights, Absolutely fantastic. Location was great, hotel lovely, staff great attentive and very friendly. Food for breakfast and in the restaurant was fantastic. Really good value for money!

A great place. We spent three nights and, due to weather, wound up eating at the restaurant all three nights. Breakfast and dinner were both very good. We had a beautiful view of the lake and the room was spacious. As Yanks, we missed wash cloths. I hope we'll be lucky enough to get back there again.

A very cosy hotel in a quiet location. The hotel serves an amazing breakfast with a spectacular view. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Parking is provided as well. Overall experience is wonderful and it feels like you are staying with your family.

Very friendly staff, they went above and beyond. The restaurant was actually very good, with a nice selection of meals and a great pizzeria. Good location with a ferry stop right in front! Good parking, but book prior. Our room nice and big with a lake view. I highly recommend this place
