Superb food of the highest quality at very reasonable prices- served with warmth and care in a wonderful setting facing the sea. Our whole experience was the very best of this holiday - delicious meals served with genuine care to detail. Highly recommend this restaurant for outstanding meals served with smiles. Cannot fault anything here! All four of us enjoyed the most special authentic dishes finely prepared and served. Thank you to all the staff! This restaurant is first class!

Zio Sam Restaurant will always have a special place in my heart! My family arrived in Positano late at night after the airline delayed our flight causing us to reroute through Paris AND lost our bags. Pasquale knowing we were tourists and not familiar with the unique driving of the area came to pick us up at our house, feed us the most amazing dinner and drive us home. I’ve never experienced hospitality like this. Pasquale, thank you for an amazing experience. Such a wonderful end to a stressful day. We will forever be indebted to you!!

BEST MEAL IN ALL OF ITALY! We were feeling frustrated in not being able to find an authentic restaurant that wasn't flooded with tourists and finally we came across Zio Sam referred to us by many locals!

We started the evening with their speciality seafood platter appetizer which was a generous selection of fresh seafood cooked various ways.

We then had their seafood pasta dishes. Spaghetti Vongole cooked with a hearty portion of clams & a refreshing lemon sauce. And the Seafood Linguine Al Cartoccio - the freshest seafood pasta cooked with a red pasta sauce.

We finished the evening with their homemade desserts & digestive.

Highly recommend Zio Sam if you are staying in Sorrento or the Amalfi Coast. It is a beautiful family run business passionate about serving fresh Italian food cooked with love.

One of the most authentic and genuine places I have been to in Italy. The waiter, even though he didn't speak English, was very charismatic and very nice. Was affordable for what was served and had a gluten free pasta option for my friend.

Stunning view, delicious food, really large portions we couldn’t finish but enjoyed every bite. The house red wine was great too! Definitely recommend this spot, little hard to find but there is a parking lot tucked right next to the restaurant.

What a lovely spot! Our tour guides took us to Sam’s place and initially we didn’t know what we were stumbling into. Our tour guides walked us into Sam’s farm and had us sample some beans and peas off the bushes - that was a first. We then walked across the street where we were greeted by Sam and some other very welcoming staff. They knew about my allergies in advance, which was lovely. We were greeted with champagne at the table! They asked if we wanted the preset menu, and we had no idea what that entailed, but we went along with it and said yes - and we were glad we did! They brought us LOTS of different appetizers; the calamari was my favorite. We ordered the sparkling red wine, also delicious. We were brought 2 different pastas, and then dessert. The food was wonderful, people were lovely, and view was incredible.

AND after all that food and wine, the preset menu was 40 euros per person. Incredible.

One word - amazing!

We felt welcomed by all the staff including our favourite paparazzi Vincenzo! Rarely do you remember a place for the staff who work there rather than just the food which says a lot about the service. The view from the restaurant overlooking Sorrento is also worthy of a mention.

Spending most of our evenings at Zio Sam was a perfect way to finish off hot day of sight seeing. Our favourite dish was Linguine Al Cartoccio (seafood heaven). Pizza was also delicious. Can’t say a bad word about the place. Grazie Mille!

I had a great time at Zio Sam Restaurant with Salvatore and Pasquale. Tasty and delicious food and amazing friendly service. Good southern Italian hospitality and friendship. Will come back.

This was the last stop on a private tour of the Amalfi coast. Our diver, noting our love of food asked, "if I can arrange it, would you be interested to learn how to make gnocchi?". A question meet with an emphatic "YES".

Our starters , drinks and service here were flatly, amazing. But the highlight was the chef (I assume Zio Sam himself) was so much fun. It was great to be in a working kitchen and getting tips on gnocchi, which I had only attempted once before, with middling results. It was all so good I are way too much and didn't eat again until lunch the next day. The only downside of which was that I didn't get to eat at Sorbillo one last time.

A beautiful and tasty restauran, amazing view ans wonderful hosts. Large courses, we had a great meal - steak, grilled fidh, chicken, salads - everything was wonderful!

Loved the atmosphere while visiting here with family in Sorrento. The homemade pasta is amazing and the endless possibilities of options for food make you wish you had a bigger stomach. Hidden off the beaten path but well worth the trip. Not my first time here and certainly not my last.

A rained out tour was saved by the hospitality of the family at Zio Sam who took us in for a private cooking class. We were part of the family. Would highly recommend!

Great food, really friendly and funny waiter. Lack of GF options but great for those without celiac disease. Amazing views with parking.
