Casa a Mare

❣🇮🇪 it may be a bit of a challenge to get here but it is well worth the effort. The owners are amazingly gracious and welcoming and the homemade breakfast is each morning - heaven on Earth. I really can't say enough about Casa a Mare and the hostess(es). The only caveat is if you're a big person the showers are on the small side. Otherwise the rooms and beds are comfortable, the terrace is amazing for evening wine and winding down, the location is absolutely fabulous and close to many good restaurants, beaches and attractions. Thank you Silvana and staff ♥♥🇮🇪♥

The town of Sorrento is simply magical, and our stay at Casa a Mare was nothing short of the same. The host was so welcoming and friendly, bringing us delicious breakfasts each morning. The room was cozy, clean and inviting, as well as tastefully decorated. The bed was also very comfortable! The shower is a bit cramped but you come to expect that as it seems to be the standard in Italy. However the stunning sunset views from our balcony, the fresh seafood and friendly people made the whole experience just perfect.

We had the most incredible stay in Casa a mare and will definitely return. Beautiful views and the family were very friendly and accommodating. This was our second visit to sorrento and this was an amazing place to stay. The family were so welcoming and made the stay even more special. Our room was clean, modern and the balcony view was so picturesque. My partner proposed to me on the balcony with the sunset and seaview and it was the most special place! We couldn’t have asked for more from our hosts. Lovely home cooked breakfast on a lovely terrace and we were made to feel part of the family whilst still having privacy as a couple. Would definitely recommend and would love to return.

Roberta and her mother Silviana were always on hand to help with what we needed. They treated us like family, and gave great recommendations during our stay, for everything from tours to haircuts!

Nice breakfast on the terrace when the weather is good, always with a freshly baked cake or pastry and both sweet and savoury options. The best location, beside the old town and marina lined with seafood restaurants, which is a slice of the REAL Sorrento. You're literally sitting on history, as the place is above an Ancient Greek gate and beside an Ancient Roman wall.
Simply an amazing place, a genuine Italian experience and a perfect home for our time in Sorrento. I am so grateful we didn't stay in a hotel, but rather a place with soul.

Just to note: we had a smaller balcony than expected, but the view from every room is incredible. Also be advised that this is an old building, you need to climb stairs to the B&B. Silviana advised they have plans to renovate the balconies and the dining room, and even adding a small bar to the rooftop room which will be an amazing addition.

Just had great week staying at Casa a Mare.
Fantastic location overlooking Marina Grande and 10 minute walk into the old town.
Hosts were warm, friendly and very welcoming. An ample breakfast was provided each morning including various lovely homemade pastries that set us up for our sightseeing trips. We had stunning views from our room and from the roof terrace. A truly authentic Italian experience that will stay in our memory forever - highly recommended.

Everything was ready when we got there. Everything clean in the room, more than enough body gel and shampoo, a big bed and a little balcony with great views to one of the smaller ports of Sorrento. There is also a complete breakfast that Roberta prepares herself and if the day is nice enough you can have it in the rooftop terrace which is a very beautiful place, with -again- great views. Roberta is nice and kind and she speaks english, which is very convenient if your italian is not great (my case). She gave us advice, not only for our daytrip to Capri, but also for the train we needed to take after the check out. We would definitely recommend you stay here if you are going to Sorrento.

Nice rooms each with a great view. The owner Sergio is very friendly amd supportive. Every day breakfast on the roof terrace is a little different. Nice restaurants and bars just down the stairs.
Expect to be asked to pay in cash!

My wife and I spent a night in this wonderful Casa. We were welcomed by Sergio, the owner together with his wife Silvana. We felt at home since the very first moment. The room looked at Marina Grande... the best part of Sorrento. We had breakfast on the rooftop while looking at the gulf of Naples. Silvana was so kind and brought to us all the specialties she made that morning: homemade cornetti, strawberry jam, yogurt, and prosciutto toast. We talked a lot with her that morning as if she was our family. We will always remember Sergio and Silvana’s hospitality, also because our wedding was the day after. Great experience. We will stop by for sure next time we will be in Italy (very soon as I grew up 40minutes away from Sorrento).

What a spectacular stay in what is a heritage home with a few well-designed modern additions to make ones stay comfortable. You will be welcomed by a friendly host, as she feeds you homemade local cake and limoncello on the large rooftop terrace. The ocean view is spectacular. We were given the best breakfast we've ever had and we have been travelling for 30 years. Our host rose very early to ensure our food was ready by 7 a.m. Homemade yogourt, bread, croissant, marmalade (which I normally don't like but was pleasantly surprised!), freshly squeezed orange juice, eggs, bacon, cake and great coffee kept coming, as she walked up and down a spiral staircase to the rooftop terrace. She is pleasant and proud of her bed and breakfast and deservedly so. If I could visit the Amalfi Coast often, I would be a return guest. We've never been more warmly greeted, or hugged goodbye and told that we are now family. If you are visiting the Amalfi Coast or Pompeii, this would be a wonderful choice to stay.

Very nice place
Although the access with a car is impossible ,Sergio and his family service and care is a compensation . Breakfast is great really homemade.
For dinner you need to he a good Walker as except for 4 restaurants in harbor all the rest are at sorrento center which is 15 min walk with steeply ways...
Better to come easy and light with your baggage...

One of the greatest places I have been to in my life. Breakfasts on the roof are not to be forgotten. The views from the room and from the roof are breathtaing. The owner is charming. We will definitely come back. Best regards, Sergio!!!

Per tanti validi motivi, la posizione della casa è ottima, si trova proprio nel centro di sorrento, vicinissima a tutto !
La vista dal balcone della nostra stanza era fantastico, e l'ambiente era pulito.
Ci stavano tutte le misure di sicurezza e i proprietari sono delle persone davvero squisite, ci hanno dato tutti i confort possibili. La colazione è stato qualcosa di davvero fantastico e sicuramente ci ritorneremo.
Se potessi dare anche più di 5 stelle lo farei a mani basse, Consiglio a tutti questa bellissima esperienza.

Accoglienza e disponibilità eccellente da parte della dolcissima Roberta, camera confortevole con pulizie giornaliere e con letto comodissimo. La visita della stanza è mozzafiato si affaccia sul mare. Colazione ricca e buona, servita su una splendida terrazza anch'essa vista mare. Punto strategico sia per arrivare al mare che nel centro.a A soli 15 minuti a piedi dalla stazione per i bus e cicrcovesuviana. Magnifica vacanza, grazie 🥰

La mia recensione a 5 stelle piene arriva dal fatto che la struttura si trova sul mare, a letteralmente pochi secondi dalla spiaggia libera e poco distante dai lidi e la villa comunale; grazie alla sua posizione ha uno splendido balcone che permette una vista meravigliosa del mare da cui si vedono anche Napoli e Procida. Ha un meraviglioso terrazzo dove ci è stata servita una colazione fatta in casa dai proprietari (che sono stati gentilissimi a servirci nonostante avessimo sforato l'orario della colazione). È stato tutto perfetto, l'unica pecca è che non c'è il posto auto essendo ZTL, ma ci sono parcheggi vicini🖤

Ognuno di noi ha un posto nel cuore e quello mio e di mia moglie si chiama Sorrento ed è posizionato qui a via Marina Grande n. 7 a Casa a Mare.
Casa a Mare è un B&B che affaccia sulla bellissima Marina Grande di Sorrento dove eregge le proprie stanze su una torre restaurata egregiamente, e che affacciano sul mare, lo stesso mare che ispirò le persone e gli artisti più illustri come Caruso e Dalla. I proprietari rispecchiano il carattere tipico che contraddistingue i sorrentini: generosità, correttezza, bontà, disponibilità; insomma sembra di conoscerli da sempre e vi fanno sentire proprio a casa vostra. Oltre al proprio balcone per godersi la vista mare che con le onde che si infrangono sul piccolo portio vi cullano la notte e vi svegliano dolcemente al mattino e dal panorama sublime, potrete apprezzare ancor di più la terrazza posta sul tetto del locale, ove servono una colazione superlativa con prodotti tipici e per lo più fatti in casa per dare le energie necessarie per affrontare la giornata, sulla quale ci si apre facilmente per piacevoli conversazioni con proprietari ed altri ospiti o godere una vista che vi rimarrà nel cuore. Casa a Mare ha una posizione strategica dal punto di vista del relax e per visitare la città: a pochi metri troverete i lidi Sant'Anna e il lido Delfino (stra consigliato per il ristorante, a mio parere il migliore della città) e a pochi metri dal centro storico nel quale godersi magiche passeggiate la sera.
Ci sarebbe tanto altro da dire, ma le parole non descrivono al meglio le esperienze vissute in questo B&B, vi consiglio e vi auguro solo di poterle vivere il prima possibile.
