On October 13 our group of ten from the United States visited Irene and Mateo winery near mount Etna.We had a wonderful experience.Their dedication to wine is impressive. We had an amazing tour of the winery, followed by a delicious lunch with wine tasting. We absolutely fell in love with the wine and looking to order it here in the states. We highly recommend visiting the winery, meeting the wonderful owners. Not to be missed!

We had a fantastic visit at the winery. Our guide Alessio brought us here after we went up on Mount Etna. The wine was great. We tried the red , white and rose. They show their dedication to the wines by how they care for the land and how warm and welcoming they are.

Very friendly and helpful owners that make you feel at home. The view from the room over their wine fields is great and the facilities are more than sufficient.

Very warm welcome at arrival, within 30 minutes I enjoyed their wine "etna rosso" and a great view.
The Etna misterious in the cloud, sometimes it reveals his sight.
Tonight thunders to expect, what a magnificent place to stay. Even when the weather is not blue sky, perhaps even better...

Tomorrow is another day.

With little time to fit into the visiting slots, Irene was very flexible and helpful over our email exchange in making sure we were able to wine taste - her husband, Matteo welcomed us and while he said this was the 'humble' version of the tour, we felt we got the full works: wines to taste with nibbles, alongside the history of the place & their wines and the story of Etna's oenology.

Irene and Matteo gave us a great tour of the family owned vineyard. The Nerello is my favorite a great complex wine that completes the tasting after a white and a rose’. Etna in the back keeps you company with her rumbling.. no worries though if it gets bad you’ll still have plenty of time to run away! Don’t forget to ask about the 200+ years of family history!

Esperienza fantastica. Grazie a Irene e Matteo abbiamo fatto un giro della vigna, ricevuto spiegazioni chiare e dettagliate ed effettuato degustazione direttamente in vigna, assaggiando 4 vini e mangiando ottimi salumi e formaggi. Decisamente consigliato! Ambiente molto familiare e intimo. Esperienza diversa dalla degustazione standard

Da Irene sei in famiglia! Questa esperienza va ben oltre la semplice degustazione dei vini….provare per credere! Sicuramente consigliato….!!!

Ein kleines Paradies am Fuße des Etnas. Exzellenter Wein, bei dem man die Liebe und das Feingefühl des Winzerpaars spürt.

Un vigneto splendido curato con professionalità e amore da Irene e il marito.
Vini davvero molto interessanti, degustati all imbrunire direttamente in vigna in un atmosfera incantevole grazie all attenta e simpaticissima presenza dei proprietari!!
