Hotel Feudo Vagliasindi

This a grand old family home and farm/vineyard located a couple of miles from the undistinguished town of Randazzo. The location is idyllic and quiet with spectacular views of Etna, vineyards and countryside, and other mountains. Our room was simple but comfortable. Dinner is available at the lodging and the wine, made on site, was excellent and reasonable. The hotel is managed by two brothers who inherited the property and who come and go from the city sharing management of the property.

We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The hotel and vineyard is still run by the same family, the two brothers Corrado and Paolo were very welcoming and showed us around the impressive building and the old wine cellar underneath.
During the day, Rasil takes care of you and his motto is "anything you need, no problem"! He made our stay even better, we could order drinks and something small to eat whenever we wanted, even when the restaurant was closed one night.
We were lucky enough to see an Etna eruption at dinner time, it was a magical. Do keep in mind, this is a quiet area and beyond the restaurant there is little activity or nightlife. Despite the remoteness, this is a good place to explore the Etna (1.5h drive), Alcantara gorge (30m) and Taormina (30m). Highly recommend it!

We had a great stay here. The views on the Etna and the wineries are unbeatable. Rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was good. Staff was attentive and professional.

The hotel staff was very accommodating and supportive. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The dinner and breakfast were typical with what one would expect from the region. Only complaint was that the WiFi didn't function. All in all it was a good experience and we recommend the hotel for others to enjoy.
