Nice view of river (it was dry when we went). Food is good and a bit unusual. The fried bread with toppings were something new to us and yummy. I could have definitely have had more of the meat ones topped with mortsdella. The fritto misto was OK, less impressive. And the main dish, some big involtoni of fish wrapped with crispy bacon was probably most missable. The centre was still cold, though it might have been meant to be. Shrug. But overall definitely worth trying.

Definitely my favorite meal in Sicily! My Name is Tannino is a quality restaurant for sure. Although the menu is in Italian, our server was wonderful and put together a tasting menu for us by asking us what our cravings were and what we liked to eat (we wanted more local cuisine). We had a wonderful time sitting by the river and enjoying our food and wine for hours!

We had the best culinary experience in this restaurant during our one week vacation in Sicily. The food and service is excellent, especially the young lady serving us. She explains everything on the menu and has great knowledge of the served food and wine. Five stars!!

It is brillo, amazing trying all these wines that never make it to England, delicious and fresh. The waitress is fun, and helps you through the menu (in English if you need it, as I do), and confidently recommending wines and dishes. The atmosphere is just as like, lovely warm cool evenings even in April, looking out on to lovely golden stone buildings as the sun sets 🙂🙂🙂

Very good food here and a nice location where you can sit out by the river. It is a small place and gets busy in the summer season, so come early or make a reservation. There are some non-fish related dishes available on the main menu, as well as a sharing platters menu for lighter meals. Good selection of local wines. There is indoor seating if preferred. The cost is about €25 pp for two courses and a glass of wine.

Delicious Sicilian food with very authentic preparations and flavors. Tannino was very friendly and attentive and went out of his way to help us select the best wine for our dinner and made us feel very comfortable. Highly recommend the restaurant and we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town!

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this wonderful restaurant.
It’s’ setting overlooking the riverbed, its quirky plank-tables resting on the stone walls of the river, its storyline as depicted in the menu, its most charming waiter and translator, and of course its exceptional food.
Tonight’s grilled Pesce del Giorno with pepper crust and sweet succulent Caponata was delicious. As were the other courses/dishes.

An amazing eaterie - possibly the best food on our trip around Southern Sicily. All the food is prepared freshly for you, utilising all the best ingredients. The starters were little sharing plates and each one was sublime. The fish and steak were both cooked to perfection. The deserts - chocolate mousse and Panacotta were clearly homemade and very very good.
Fluent English spoken and the most helpful owners, nothing was too much trouble and service always with a smile and they took time to explain the menu. Really really enjoyed our experience here and can not recommend it highly enough! Also super value for money with very good wines also. GO and experience it for yourself!

Fantastic place, we ordered the tasting menu, it was absolutely delicious and the owner matched the dishes with the most fantastic wines! What a find!! The puddings delicious too. And we had the pleasure of having both owner and chef explaining food and wine. A gem in lovely Scicli. I hope we return soon...

Awesome little place on the bank of the stream that runs through Scicli: we stopped hoping to just get a drink and actually got a bit of a cold welcome by the waitress. "We're a wine bar", she said when we hoped to get a spritz. That was a bit off-putting, but when after spending some time drinking wine we decided to stop for dinner we understood where the proud tone was coming from: the food is excellent, with some really top options. The "bombette d'asino" in particular was one of the best dishes we had in ages, but everything was delicious. Decent prices as well.

Very nice spot along the canal. The food is excellent and well executed. Very good service. Maybe the best place in Scicli but there so many other restaurants I do not lnow yet.

Nice atmosphere, great (free) snacks with drinks, and tasty food. The guys working there are awesome. When one member of our party forgot her purse at the table, the waiter hid it behind the bar and returned it kindly when we returned.

Perfect for a after dinner drink or even a light dinner. The staff is very knowledge and happy to recommend wines from the area. Located in the old cellars of a church, do not skip this place if you are in Scicli !

Lovely little bar hidden below the church on the bank of the river. Best apperitivo in Scicli. Great wine selction, very nice food featuring local cheeses and meats.

Wonderful. Slightly tricky to find (it’s below the level of the piazza) but worth looking. Delicious and original food, nice team and lovely atmosphere.

Nice little restaurant with very good food and wine. The service is great and we had an relaxed dinner here. Would definitely recommend!
