If you followed the tv series of Detective Montalbano - this is definitely worth the time. It’s the movie set and you feel like you are in the series 😃

We visited last year. From a documentary we watched, the interior set has been recreated in Rome and filming has been done there since 2000. They returned filming here in 2016. But still this is very much a must see place for any fan of the series.

Are you a Montalbano fan like me?
If so, you will love this place.
You walk into the police station with Catarella's office on your right next to which you see Fazio's office.
You the left you find Mimi's office door -behind which you see a 40cm deep corridor 😀.
And then at the end you step into the great Montalbano's office. Yes, I touched his chair, spent time looking at everything I had seen so many times on the TV.
How much to see all this? €3 each. Bargain. Now back to the books, which, by the way, you should read if you have not yet indulged. They are funny, have a serious message and really give you a great sense of what the Siciliana people are like. And more to the point got me so excited to taste the food out there. Scrummy.

A must see if you are a follower of the TV series.

A must for Montebalno fans! We thought it was going to be a visit to the exterior only. But the film set is still there which was amazing. Small entry fee with a choice to also visit the Commissioner's office. Loved it.

Seeing Montalbano's office & Caterella's cubby brings this beloved show to life. We also enjoyed our guide who shared tidbits of the filming techniques, such as why we never saw inside Mimi's office.

A must-visit spot for Montalbano fans when visiting Sicily.

We got a guided tour for the mayors office that is used for formal causes and the filmset of commisario montalban by a real great guide! She also knows a lot of the history of scicli and the region, she also helped us with a Tourist-problem, really very nice and helpful! The earnings for the tours are used for develop barrier-freedom/accessibility! Really great!

A absolute must for fans of Montalbano , the entire offices of the Vigata police station

A fun visit to one of the venue of Commissario Montalbano. My mother is a fan so we had to stop and take a guided tour.

I’m a big fan of Inspector Montalbano and it was great to be able to stand in his office.

Per chi come me è un fan di Camilleri e delle sue opere, non può sfuggire alle bellezze della Sicilia che ha raccontato meravigliosamente. Il commissario Montalbano è l'emblema di quella Sicilia barocca che vive il territorio con orgoglio: Noto e Scicli su tutto. A Scicli, splendida e meravigliosa, il commissariato di Vigata spazia fra il consueto, lo storico, l'imprevedibile, l'arguzia e la risata. Ne rimarrete coinvolti.

Scicli (RG) cittadina affascinante, consiglio di visitare le numerose chiese del centro storico in stile barocco

Sono un appassionato della famosissima serie Il Commissario Montalbano e avere avuto la possibilità di conoscere da vicino il luogo dove sono State girate le puntate è stato bellissimo. Grazie alla associazione Agire che gestisce la biglietteria e l'ingresso.

Uno dei più celebri set della vecchia serie tv del commissario Montalbano.
È possibile visitare il set da soli o mediante guida turistica.

Esperienza meravigliosa, sembra di entrare in tv, hai la sensazione che da un momento all’altro sbuchi catarella o Montalbano!! Avrei pagato anche più di 6€ per vederlo! Peccato che non sia conosciuto come luogo da visitare, l’abbiamo trovato per caso.

Il set cinematografico dell'ufficio del Commissario Montalbano si trova nel palazzo comunale, in centro città. Da notare la bellezza del palazzo e degli interni, incluso il soffitto affrescato. Nel biglietto inclusa la visita alla stanza di rappresentanza del Sindaco, al piano superiore.

Tappa inevitabile una volta che si giunge a Scicli per chi è appassionato di Montalbano ma anche per chi non lo è.
Si apre la porta, si entra sul set e si rimane in attesa di veder passare Montalbano o Catarella o Mimi o Fazio.
È veramente una bella esperienza da fare
