Terrapille Farmhouse

We have stayed here many times in the past 20 years. It is peaceful, beautiful, surrounded by stellar views of the Tuscan countryside on all sides. The owner is delightful and treats us like family. It is a perfect home base for exploring many nearby towns.

Wow - this place is so special. We came her for 4 nights for our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. Probably one of the most picturesque places we have ever stayed and probably the most beautiful place in all of Tuscany! The family who run it, particularly Lucia, are so lovely too and helpful to making your stay enjoyable with endless recommendations.
The views are spectacular from every corner and the room was very comfortable. The room had a fridge so we could keep our own wine in there to drink in the evening.
We loved to pool and swam in it every day, enjoying a beer and the epic scenery (and cuddling their lovely cats).
Breakfast in the morning was great and very traditional.
The walk to Pienza is beautiful, so many photo opportunities but it is steep at the end so may not be for everyone but gets you ready for wine and pasta on an evening.
We will 100% stay here again.

Fantastic place in the heart of the Val d'Orcia. An unforgettable access to the property by worldwide known road from "Gladiator" movie . The house has been completely renovated, keeping the climate of this place. Fantastic pool with a beautiful view. The most important, however, are the people. Lucia is a warm, helpful and caring hostess which completes the fantastic experience associated with this place. I definitely recommend it!

Stayed here 3D/2N. I cannot do anything else but to recommend this place. Right from start of communicating with Lucia down to arrival, it has just been smooth and friendly. Right smack in Val d'Orcia with a view overlooking the Tuscan fields and Pienza, this is a great place for me to branch out for visits to other nearby towns. The road leading to Terrapille was also the shooting location for the movie Gladiator.

The building is about 1000 years old and has its charms. Lovely Agriturismo.

Stayed here a few times now and it's very beautiful inside and out. From the authentic Tuscan farmhouse architecture striking its amazing balance of rustic and elegant, to the amazing vistas of the Val d'Orcia that surround you. I love to take my camera and wander Strada Gladiator, where you're treated to pheasants, roe deer, and quintessential Tuscan landscape. The folks that own Terrapille are wonderful people who insure you have an impeccably clean room, beautifully appointed with antiques, and information as to where to visit and eat in the region. When I took my wife here, she was blown away at how peaceful and beautiful it is. Make sure you take time to just sit quietly with some wine in their beautiful outdoor seating areas, and just take it all in.

Uno dei posti più belli che ho visto nella mia vita.
E' sicuramente il luogo più bello della Val d'Orcia. Arroccato su una splendida collina proprio di fronte Pienza. Con lo sguardo si spazia a 360 gradi sul meraviglioso paesaggio della Val d'Orcia, da qui è possibile arrivare in pochi minuti a Monticchiello, a Montepulciano, a Bagno Vignoni, alla Cappella di Vitaleta, alla Foce e, ovviamente, a Pienza. Insomma, siamo nel paradiso del turismo. Le camere sono molto belle nella loro semplicità, i prezzi sono un po alti rispetto alla media ma vi assicuro che sembra di stare in un film. Non a caso a 500 metri dal b&b Ridley Scott ha girato una delle scene piu belle del film "Il Gladiatore". Unico neo, per arrivarci bisogna percorrere una lunga strada sterrata che in alcuni punti diventa un po' scomoda.

Wow.. posto incantevole, immerso nella natura ma allo stesso tempo a 5 minuti da Pienza. Sulla strada delle riprese del Gladiatore.. strada sterrata ma tranquillamente percorribile andando a bassa velocità.
Camere spaziose e pulitissime.
Lucia, la proprietaria, è una persona squisita.. di sicuro ritornerò in futuro..
Prezzo forse medio alto ma davvero un posto unico di cui conserverò un ricordo speciale.

Un lieu magnifique puisqu'il a servi à l'un des paysages de " Gladiator ". Jolie bâtisse en haut d'une colline. Grand calme pour récupérer après une journée intense de visites dans la région. L'accueil chaleureux de Lucia met tout de suite à l'aise. Une partie de la bâtisse est réservée aux chambres, au 1er il y a un charmant salon pour venir lire ou simplement se détendre.
La chambre est de style rustique toscan et nous avions une vue magnifique sur la campagne et Pienza.
Il y a une jolie piscine pour se détendre avec une belle vue sur la campagne.
L'autre partie de la bâtisse est la salle du petit déjeuner. Ce dernier est copieux.
Thé ou café, pain frais, beurre et confiture. Yaourt. Fromage et charcuterie, tarte ou gâteau et jus de fruits. De quoi affronter une matinée de randonnées.
Nous y avons posé nos valises 3 jours et nous n'avons pas regretté.

Definire questo agriturismo una perla è dir poco.
Immerso nelle colline toscane vanta un panorama unico nel suo genere perché i famosi "campi elisi" del film il gladiatore altro non sono che la strada per l'agriturismo.
I proprietari sono persone meravigliose, il luogo è magico e suggestivo per una vacanza all'insegna di pace e tranquillità

Scalda il cuore..
Io e il mio ragazzo abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura per due notti.
La titolare è una persona simpatica e disponibile, umile ma che allo stesso tempo sa come rendere la struttura unica ed apprezzata agli occhi degli ospiti.
La colazione davvero ricca, vengono serviti tutti prodotti locali, ad esempio yogurt fresco, torte fatte in casa e molto altro. Le camere sono semplici ed adatte al contesto, la vista panoramica a 360 è, probabilmente, l’elemento che rende unico questo agriturismo.. la piscina con la vista panoramica sulle colline è un valore aggiunto che noi abbiamo apprezzato.
In questo posto si riesce a staccare la spina dalla routine quotidiana e, se si apprezzano le cose semplici e genuine, si riuscirà sicuramente a percepire la magia che, in qualsiasi momento della giornata, questo posto riesce a sprigionare.
Spero di tornare presto qui, è stato davvero bello!
