Da Gigino

We found this restaurant whilst wondering around the lanes of Sorrento and decided to have lunch here.
At first I thought I'd be put off by the smelly fish shop next door, but didn't trouble us at all.
We sat out on the terrace and ordered with very friendly staff that helped with what we were ordering.
The restaurant is very clean and has a very Italian family home feel to it.
The food came out in good time and was fresh and piping through.
Thoroughly enjoyed dining here and would highly recommend.

The seafood is very fresh and the taste is very good. I recommend linguine di gigino. It is very nice. Maybe I ordered too much at one time. The waiter pushed a small table next to us and let us put the food:)

Very nice people! Both pizza that we ordered were among the best pizzas we ever ate (Capricciosa and Sorrento). Our child loved pasta (ate it all). Great taste of pasta indeed! We spent a very nice, cozy time, flavoured with a glass of local wine. Nice place to eat something fresh and appetizing!

We visited Da Gigino after reading Rick Steves' recommendation. As usual, his recommendations do not disappoint.
We tried thei linguine gigino and seafood risotto. They are essentially the same just different starch. I thought the linguine was great but the risotto was even more flavourful.
Definitely try this place out.

Great quaint place. Yes, it’s touristy but in a classy way. I booked a reservation for 1 person for 10 pm and was seated right away. Waiters spoke English and were gracious to me despite my terrible Italian pronunciation when ordering. I ordered a caprese salad, the tagliatelle alla bolognese and 500ml of the house red wine.

The food was very very good, the house red was great: dry, full bodied with a spicy aftertaste. The pasta was delicious and felt light. Portion size just right to be full but not stuffed. Wine was plenty to put me to sleep after a long travel day.

Ended up paying €36, which was a great value for the quality (coming from San Francisco). Recommend this place!

After a few different curious turns down these cute streets of Sorrento, we found this place and very happy we did. Hella good food across the board, the service was very friendly and hospitable, my son says it’s the best pizza he’s had so far in Italy (our 5th day) and the price was very reasonable. We’re in Sorrento for 4days, and we’ll be back.

Exceptional in every way we wanted!
Simple, typical Italian restaurant, love the alley way location.
Chiro welcomed us and was quick to move us indoors when it began raining.
We shared the fried shrimps and squid while sipping on a Lemon flower beer, and then chowed down on a delicious seafood risotto.
Delicious, fresh, wholesome food, great ambiance and they all have a friendly attitude!
Strongly recommend it.

Amazing place food and service is amazing! The best pizza around hands down! Little sudden gem you must try, owner and staff treat you like family.

Organized group. Excellent service. Fine food. Very tasty. Special room for groups with very nice and welcoming wheaters.
I definitely will come again on my next trip.

Down an alley off the secondary main shopping street, this place offers a family owned atmosphere. It's a cozy spot inside with tables close together and some tables outside as well under the awning. The food is outstanding. We had an appetizer of prosciutto and melon, hand sliced right there in front of you, a pizza called Speciale Italia which was one of the best I've had on my trip, and seafood risotto. This is a must find when in Sorrento.

Nice place in the old town of Sorrento. The food was delicious and the wine as well. Recommended by a local, was sitting outside and enjoying the street movements of the people.
Stuff very nice and had even an ear for my extra wishes.

Quite possibly the best pizza ever. Our first visit here in years and the pizza was still fantastic. Staff are polite and friendly. Wine list is very extensive and reasonably priced, especially if you like Italian Red wine

Nice restaurant in the middle of the pedestratian walkway. Lots of tourist come here but the price/quality is really on point! Friendly waiters and beautiful plates. We had a very nice time here and I would recommend this place for everyone.

Also a big plus is the desert menu, we all had a very nice desert. Aplause for the chef to make such beautiful dishes!

Probably the best pizza I’ve had on my whole Italy trip - just delicious! Friendly staff, great atmosphere, good selection on the menu - not just the usual fair. Our son enjoyed his first taste of lobster and ate pasta which was perfectly al dente. But I’d definitely be back just for another pizza!!

There is an outside, downstairs and upstairs eating option that we saw. It is a bit crowded and a bit loud with regular conversation level. The service was quite quick and dishes were delicious. Would recommend

Good experience. The eggplant and the rocket salad were delightful. Risotto was extremely generous. Pizzas out of the massive oven looked great. Overall very cosy and a great choice.

Great atmosphere, delicious food and perfect location for it being in the main area but also discreet. The salmon and avocado salad was super, as well as the prosciutto.

Located in a small and narrow street. Food is so far the best in Sorrento and Capri. Reasonable price and great food. You make make reservation, but even without it, the wait was less than 10min.
