We loved them! We went around 9 in the morning and it was just us there and a big family of animals. They’re on the left side of the waterfall.

Fabulous experience! We arrived at lunch time and as expected, we could not see the animals, but we've managed in the late afternoon at around 6 pm. The place is easy to find according to the suggestions already given by other travelets. We've decided that next time we will bring other type of vegetables for them as they seem to have had enough of carrots! :)

Unfortunately we didn't see the marmots, I would recommend to visit really really early (marmots only come out in the morning and afternoon, but when you come early in the morning there aren't a lot of people and dogs)
The waterfall is also really amazing and you could even take a little swim!

We found the marmots and fed them some apples which was fun! There were so many people feeding them though that I now wonder if tourists are more harm than good (I know I was no help to this today). Some people were petting them which I definitely think must be a bad idea (because we can transfer diseases to them? I’m really not sure though). This is not a zoo, this just seems to be their natural habitat.

They are also hard to find. When you walk toward the waterfall, you have to cross the river bed away from the water fall toward a wall (we saw rock climbers the day we went which was cool).

Unfortunatelly I can't see any Animals, but the mountains here are beautiful. You must see the small waterfall.

It didn’t disappoint. We saw a marmot at the spot. We learnt that marmot don’t like apple.
The location is also a great spot for rock climbing. In addition, there is the crystal clear fresh streams you can dip your feet in. Snow melting cold, but refreshing!

We went around 7am and we saw 3-4 super cute marmots. If you go later on I think they will be scared away, because many people bring their dogs and there are a lot of climbers around.

One of the nice surprises in the Dolomites. 10 minutes walk off the road and you get to ‘holes’. Try to be quiet, patient and bring carrots and peaches.

Bring some peanuts in a shell, they love them the most! And please don’t stack rocks near their caves, as when marmots play outside the rocks fall on them 😞

It is a really nice place to stop, the area was quiet and impressive. The marmottes live around a bench in front of the mountain wall at the left side of the waterfall
