Rifugio Fredarola

A very fun, vibrant and amazingly delicious restaurant with beautiful views! The food here was amazing! We ate here a number of times on our trip and can recommend the meats (ribeye, flank steak, etc.), the oysters, the pasta, the pizza! None of the dishes ever disappointed. Some people complain about how loud it is inside the restaurant, this is part of the atmosphere and any place on the mountain during the lunch hour will be noisy. So if you don't like the fun music and atmosphere, don't sit down for a meal. But we had a great time and were very happy with the delicious meals! We highly recommend this place!

Amazing pizza 🍕!! One of the best we’ve ever had ! Also the outside seating and the view is wonderful. We stopped here for a quick lunch while skiing the Sella Ronda and we couldn’t have been happier !!

Stellar food quality, great location and general hip vibe of the place

One of the best pizza I have ever eaten in my life. Soft and crunchy. The stuff was friendly, especially Marcello who served us twice during our vacation. I asked for garlic olive oil, they said that they only have one with chilli flakes, but they'll figure out something. 2/3 minutes later they brought me a small cup with olive oil and freshly chopped garlic. I was so happy! For the dessert you have to try tiramisu. Can't wait to visit this place again.

First they make mistake in order and our pizza came after 40 minutes( guys who later came and sit at our big table have already finished their pizza and our order still not coming), than we wait to pay for about 15 minutes and at the end the chef waiter tried to bill us the second time and did not think that there is anything he have to to apologize for.

Amazing place for lunch after long hike in the mountains. There was quite a long que at the entrance, but the staff was very organized and professional and it moved pretty fast. It paid off to wait. We ordered pasta with seafood, which was heavenly, great salad, pizza and perfect dessert. The waiters were very friendly.

One of the best, nicest rifugio visited. Superb panorama, extremely good pizza and I think the rest of food. Very nice waiters, decent prices. All the best, hope to come again next year

Awesome view, excellent food made with care, friendly service and very good pricing. We were impressed. Highly recommended an stop here if you are on hiking around.

A real modern restaurant, with a great view, sunbeds and great kitchen. In the middle of the Dolomites. Wauw!

Stayed here 2 nights in Aug'21. Fantastic location (just 20-25 min walk to Passo Pordoi, which is starting point for fantastic hikes). Also on the Viel del Pan hike, which I highly recommend doing in the afternoon/evening light, with the Marmolada glowing right before you.

The highlight of this rifugio is the fantastic good. One night the dinner was good, and the other night it was fantastic. Stylish, restaurant-like meal service. Staff are cheerful and helpful. The rooms are a bit basic but the communal areas (open till 11pm) are great to hang out in.

We had a great stay at the Rifugio Fredarola while it was raining outside. The hotel is beautiful and cozy and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The owner and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
In the morning, when the clouds when away we enjoyed a scenic view on Marmolada.
Definitely recommended.

If you are visiting the Dolomites, and the Fassa Valley town of Canazei, you just have to take the Belvedere Funivia (Cable Car) up to Rifugio Fredarola. This “Refuge” is the quintessential Dolomite High-altitude stop on any hike or while skiing. The Rifugio has 5 rooms to let, a full-service Bar and one of the best restaurants you’ll ever experience. The Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and the food and drinks are delicious. There’s both an open wood-fired grill, and pizza oven, plus a full kitchen that prepares delicacies you wouldn’t expect at the top of a mountain. The views are spectacular, and Sylvano, the owner, will make sure you have the very best time. Don’t miss it!

I love this place and the owners. They really know how to create the right atmosphere :both during the day and in the evening. They offer big rooms, dinner and breakfast for a very competitive price :it is not easy to find big rooms, amazing view and excellent food and wine in a rifugio. During the day you can choose between superb grilled meat, pizza or typical cuisine.
I definitely recommend to spend the night there when turing the Sellaronda

Stayed here while trekking the AV2. Our plans changed at the last minute due to weather, and they were able to accommodate us with only a few hours notice. Terrific room and excellent food! Plus a friendly cat lives in the rifugio too.

This place was super cool, with normal prices for the area and super truper terrase with really lovely view. Very recommended for apres ski, because of the location and good party music!
