I really liked how you could see and pick what meat you wanted from the glass fronted fridge. The food could not be faulted in any way and was cooked to perfection. The restuarant is partly a cave which is a fantastic place to eat and enjoy a great atmosphere.

A fabulous restaurant for meat eaters and people who appreciate really beautifully prepared beef and lamb. The wine list is extensive and the service plus a bit of theatre from the chef made this a great start to our holiday! Thank you

My wife and I had a lovely lunch here. Bottle of red, mixed salad, cold meats and cheese, and beans with bacon. Food, service and wine was excellent. Local sourced food .and wine. Was very quiet (1.30pm on a Friday in July). Table next to us had the meat, served sizzling on coals which looked amazing. Too much for us for lunch but plan to come back in the evening and go through the menu properly. Amazing restaurant built into the rock.

The steak was great, cleverly served on a hot stone over coals to allow you to cook steak to your own degree of rare to well done.

We had the best treat, mushrooms and truffles and handade fettuccine and lots of care. The best meat ever on a well prepared barbecue. The best!

In a region noted for it's abundance of superb eateries, Il Boccone del Prete is a hidden gem right in the center of the beautiful medieval borgo of Porano. With an atmospheric interior this charming Osteria offers the best Bistecca alla Fiorentina we have ever eaten in Italy. Cooked over the red hot ashes of an open fire and served along with whole potatoes and onions, it is a true delight for carnivores. Once cooked alla brace, it is served at the table on a white hot oven stone so each person can finish the meat just as they like it cooked to their taste. This is enormous fun too and the service is done with a genuine appreciation for the highest quality ingredients with a touch of theatre thrown in for good measure. We had an excellent night all round ..... try it you won't be disappointed but go hungry!

Great food

Ristorante nascosto fra i vicoli della vecchia Porano con la chiara vocazione alla carne. Il menu è davvero goloso con numerosi tagli e tipologie di carne e di affettati anche di tipologia particolare e ricercata. Il gusto è spettacolare e la cottura impeccabile. Anche la carta dei vini è molto ricca. L’estate i tavoli a l’aperto permettono di vivere la cena col fresco. Il servizio è eccellente, professionale grazie anche alla profonda conoscenza del prodotto e dei piatti proposti. I prezzi non sono proprio contenuti ma, si sa, la qualità ha il suo costo.

Mai trovato a un tavolo con sopra un pezzo di carne così mostruoso! Era buonissima, oltre che tenerissima.
Da rivedere i tempi di attesa, perché, nonostante avessimo prenotato, abbiamo aspettato un sacco di tempo.
Ma ne è valsa la pena.
Il costo speso a persona è stato ampiamente proporzionato se si considerano le bollicine, le 3 o 4 bottiglie di vino (non ricordo) e gli antipasti.
L'atmosfera è unica, come pure il paesaggio, il proprietario è una sagoma, oltre che bravo a cucinare...
Però ricordatevi che ci vuole tempo per mangiare, ok?

Location stupenda, da visitare, cucina oltre le aspettative, i primi deliziosamente particolari, l'eccellenza è la carne 🍖 sia nella qualità che nella frollatura di cui una parte a vista e poi la cottura e il servito merita un giudizio particolare da intenditori, pertanto top del punteggio, poi la cantina da visitare e godersi qualche calice di nettare vero. Il resto?? Che dire oltre le spiegazioni bisogna andarci almeno una volta per rendersi conto e per poi ritornare. L'ambiente familiare ti offre quello che cerchi nel momento che cerchi, quindi da provare.

Ristorante unico e personale fantastico.
Da viaggiatrice solitaria sono sempre alla ricerca di luoghi in cui il buon cibo e la cortesia siano "di casa" e qui anche io mi sono sentita a casa. Sono tornata 2 volte in 3 giorni per poter assaggiare i diversi piatti della tradizione e ho trovato tutto buonissimo. Dalla cucina al servizio, dai piatti alla location tutto è perfetto.
Fatevi consigliare e fatevi coccolare.

Il locale molto particolare, pari ad un museo! Ci sono le grotte di Etruschi. La cucina tipica. La carne di ottima qualità. Il personale molto gentile e attento. Se saremo nuovamente in zona, sicuramente ritorneremo.

牛排超级顺口，猪肉意面也是完美，梨甜的不行。主要是两个小哥的服务让我感动的想哭。带我们品红酒送了我们半瓶红酒，请我们喝餐后酒，开车帮我们带路回家。他们身上的热情是热情的意大利人的浓缩。他们的纯朴是我在米兰也都灵没有见过的。震撼

Un posto stupendo, accoglienza e vasta carta dei vini .

Abbiamo prenotato la cena di Pasqua (invece del pranzo) ed abbiamo trascorso una serata piacevole come unici clienti (o quasi) del locale. Il personale è cortese ed informale al punto giusto. Il locale, scavato nel tufo, è caratteristico e ben curato. Buona la scelta dei vini e la qualità. Ultimo ma più importante il cibo perché abbiamo mangiato carne di diverso tipo molto ben cucinata e presentata.....il giudizio complessivo è ottimo per un locale nascosto tutto da scoprire!

Simpatia e qualità. Location bellissima: direttamente scavate nella roccia sono realizzate diverse salette adibite anche a cantine di ottimi vini dai più semplici a quelli più blasonati (Solaia). Francesca e Simone vi aiuteranno a trovare le pietanze più adatte a vostro palato (piatti tipici del luogo) oppure al re dei piatti: la Chianina cotta sulla brace dall'eclettico chef Fabio!!
