Stunning winery on the northern slopes of Mount Etna. It's well worth visiting for for wine tasting as well as the panoramic terrace and the Palici Amphitheatre.

This Wine-Tasting was amazing, great experience, delicious wine. To be exact, we loved the Etna Rosso 2015 and Passito.

I have been fortunate enough to go on wine tours in the UK, USA, Europe and Australia and have to say this vineyard experience was one of our best. From the start our hosts (who I’m sorry to say I can’t remember their names) made us very welcome. We started with a Poss.It a Prosecco style sparkling wine but much drier And as one who isn’t a big Prosecco fan, we bought the white and the Rose versions when we left and which were extraordinarily good value (the rose didn’t last the day). The table was set up for the tasting, a White Etna Bianco, a Red Etna Rosso, an older Red a 2010 Patria and a desert wine. All were exceptional quality and again we bought the Etna Bianco and Etna Rosso and would have bought more had we had space in our cases. Our 2 hosts explained about the wine varieties very well, one even apologised for his lack of English but he explained very well and had nothing to apologise for. We were brought what we thought was the food, some anti pasti consisting of cheese, meats, olives Sun dried tomatoes etc which were given as the pairings. But then we were brought a delicious pasta course, some amazing rosemary potatoes and sausages and the cake to go with the desert wine. Even the desert wine which Laura isn’t a big fan of normally wasn’t too sweet, only for me a later sweetness after drinking and was excellent. The tour included a stunning outdoor event space like an amphitheatre which would be great for wedding or even concerts and a tour of the production facilities including the old original wooden storage barrels. This was the only winery we were able to visit on our weeks holiday, and chosen by our tour guide as we did it with a walk up Etna beforehand and what an outstanding choice. Sorry for any volcanic dust we left behind 😉.

We did not have a reservation but we were accommodated as a walk in. What a gem. The wine was delicious. Our server was knowledgeable and very kind. If you can't get in for a tasting, there is the wine shop where you can buy bottles for very affordable prices.

Siamo stati oggi in questa cantina dove fanno un vino di qualità. Sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso dai vini siciliani.
I bambini e noi ci siamo trovati molto bene e ci hanno trattato molto bene.

È stata una piacevole scoperta.. abbiamo fatto una visita guidata ieri pomeriggio con una ragazza bel preparata che ci ha guidato passo dopo passo alla scoperta di tutti gli itinerari della cantina.. abbiamo potuto degustare durante la cena un ottimo spumante ex dry e un buon vino a tutto pasto e un assaggio di una grappa barricata... sicuramente ritorneremo con piacere magari per fare un percorso con assaggi

Bellissima azienda merita una visita con particolare attenzione della cantina posta sotto il suolo lavico dell'Etna. Da vedere anche l'anfiteatro greco e assaporare i piatti preparati dal personale e dai proprietari dell'azienda, nonché gustare gli ottimi vini prodotti.

Fantastisk vinsmagning og frokost med profesionelle komentarer om vinproduktion og tasting notes. De bedste til min smag var Petit Verdot og Pinot Nero, som jeg har købt med det samme. Vinkælderen er lokaliseret i en stor lava hule, som er imponerende både geologisk og ønologisk. Jeg smagte nogle Patria vine i restauranter i Taormina og jeg meget glæd for mit besøg hos producenten.

Esperienza fantastica... Un viaggio nella passione e nel gusto dell'Etna... Vini davvero ottimi ed equilibrati che non temono il confronto con i migliori vini toscani, Piemontesi, abbruzzesi, veneti e friulani... Una menzione speciale per Giovanni... Che con passione e dedizione è stato il nostro Virgilio nel viaggio verso la conoscenza e il sapore di questi vini...

Cantina storica del versante nord dell'Etna che merita di essere visitata. Una delle più grandi bottaie viste.
Vini sinceri e beverini, buon cibo e personale cortese. Particolari il passito e il rosé. Opzione senza glutine.

Abbiamo fatto una spettacolare e ricca degustazione di vini, insieme ad un delizioso e abbondantissimo pranzo ricco di specialità siciliane. La visita alla struttura della cantina è consigliatissima. Personale molto gentile e disponibile.

L’occasione che ci ha portato a Cantine Patria è stata quella del nostro matrimonio. Per questo volevamo un posto che facesse fare ai nostri invitati un’esperienza di bellezza e cultura del vino.
